UM1 stressed “the hierarchy” to Akaza when he was beefing with Doma. He’s basically chiding Akaza for acting out against his betters rather than challenging their strength legitimately. When Akaza says he’s “going to kill [Kokushibo] if it’s the last thing [he does],” he’s recognizing the hierarchy again and saying, warrior to warrior, “I will surpass you.” It’s not a beef in the same way that Akaza hates Doma - he respects Kokushibo as a superior fighter, and as a fighter, he is driven to match and surpass Kokushibo.

Tanjiro's father name is Tanjuro. In the dream, the person(with the scar similar to Tanjiro) called the guy who wears a Green checkered Haori(just like Tanjiro) Sumiyoshi. We still don't know if the person in the dream is Upper Rank 1 Kokushibo. But Sumiyoshi may or most likely be an ancestor of Tanjiro since he almost exactly looks like Tanjiro.
in case you missed it, Aoi was crying because she felt guilty that Tanjiro went in her place since Tengin was initially going to take her as she was a female corps member. She probably wouldn't of been able to live with herself if he didn't make it since it was her that was supposed to go.

Nah, there's just way too much competition for that, Demon Slayer just doesn't quite have the narrative chops to reach those heights. It will be legendary though without question, and could easily compete for the most well animated fight if its anything like what they've done before.
Something I saw someone else say is that the reason Aoi is so happy and emotional now that Tanjiro is okay is because he saved her life by going with Tengen instead of her to the entertainment district.

I’ve seen people say that the fight with Upper 1 is done right up to Ufotable standards will make anime history, shit if the infinity castle war arc is done by ufotable standards this series will be goated for decades
After this arc there are 3 more. The final 2 are often thought of as being combined, though. There is a lot going on (as to be expected at the end), so I can see us getting season 4 and 5, then (hopefully) a movie to cap it off. Hell, it could even be more complicate than that because they're a bit long after this arc.
well hopefully they add the hashira training arc to the end of this season and end with THAT cliffhanger. then turn the infinity castle arc into season 4 then end it off with the sunrise countdown arc as a movie

They are the only people who can forge weapons to kill demons. Their masks are called Hyottoko. It’s part of Japanese theater like these masks🎭. But they also have a meaning of Fire+Man in their name (hi+otoko). Their face comedically show blowing air into a fire with their mouth. Which is fitting for sword smiths, since they use fire all the time and have to use fan and other tools for their work.

the movie was the end of season 2 (yes the insane epic battle) and episode 1 of s3, and guys you NEEDED to see that in a theatre. I developed a newfound appreciation for the audio design team over at UFOtable after listening to this show in IMAX. The music, Zenitsu's lightning, the intro and outros, everything was just...sonic perfection. It was an amazing experience.

Season 2, the first time Tanjiro engaged Daki and really started to press her, the memory of the cells, remember? Muzans cells within Daki became afraid at something Tanjiro said and flashed back to a memory of this man. I think Whoever he was almost took Muzans life. He wears the hanafuda earrings.
It doesn’t come across as well in the anime as it does in the manga but Tanjiro doesn’t get a nose bleed from Mitsuri being so close to him, but from her telling him about the secret weapon that’s supposedly hidden around the village. Dude just gets real excited about swords.

It doesn’t come across as well in the anime as it does in the manga but Tanjiro doesn’t get a nose bleed from Mitsuri being so close to him, but from her telling him about the secret weapon that’s supposedly hidden around the village. Dude just gets real excited about swords.
