The sun breathing slayer in ep 1 said he didn't have any descendants so my guess is maybe the upper one is a different sun breathing slayer and he's the ancestor of muichiro, though there's no evidence what's his breathing style so far, the similarity hints some possible connection

The only human who was even close is Tanjuro. If he wasn't that sick and actually trained in the sword he might have surpassed him.
The reason the mechanical doll has 6 arms is not because the person it was modelled after had 6 arms. It is explicitly mentioned that the speed and skill the user had is far too superior. If the builder did not put in 6 arms it can’t even begin to replicate his movements.

It could be that, the sword inside the doll can withstand the swing of a sun breather. That is why Tanjiro's sword always ends up chipped because it can't withstand Tanjiro's swing when using sun breathing/hinokami breathing

No actually the doll was modeled after the original sun breather, but the sun breather himself didn't have six arms! The detail I think you guys missed the most has to be the fact that the doll is modelled after a powerful user, Yorichii. Swordsmiths were unable to fully replicate his moves so they had to add 6 arms instead of 2 because he was just that powerful and fast. There wasn't really much comfirmation as far as I could tell about the sword inside the doll, I believe no one really told anyone that a sword could be inside the doll. I would think that sword is possibly a spare sword from Yorichii, a second or very first sword he used before possibly switching to another one or something. This is all my theories as to what the sword is but I can agree with you guys that the sword quite possibly is Yorichii's sword.

Hi, first of all i'd like to say love the reaction and energy from the both of you. There is an anime i would love to see your reaction. Have heard of an anime called 86? its a anime with the main theme of war and racism i think. Although its in a semi mecha genre, but its not focus on big mecha fight like the gundam series. Its more focus on its story, insane character development and world building. There is a lot of foreshadowing and symbolism in this anime, not to mention the fantastic music. There are small fight here and there but it was short and straight to the point type and when there's a big fight, its a big epic fight. Its a roller coaster of emotion. It might be start alittle bit slow on the first 2 episode for the build up, but it pick up later in the season. Happy to see you react to it.🐱

Only family members who can use it atm is the family tree of Tanjiro because they got taught sun breathing by yorichi. So the " baby " in the dream of tanjiro was his grand father if im not mistaken ( 300 years ) so it must be grand grand father ( yorichis friend also 1. generation ) baby is ( tanjiros grand father 2. generation ) then next one would be tanjiros father ( 3rd generation ) and tanjiro himself. No actually the doll was modeled after the original sun breather, but the sun breather himself didn't have six arms!
I liturely watched that episode 3 times myself to confirm it, and if you pay close attention the boy with the mask from the swordsmith village explained to Tanjiro that the movements of the original sun breather were so fast that they were forced to make the doll with six hands in order for whoever was training with that doll to have effective training and for the training to feel like they are fighting against the sun breathing demon slayer!😁👍

Did you notice that the ending song from 1x19 played at a few points in this episode?
1) Why does the doll have 6 arms?
It's because the doll maker who built it want to replicate the dude as accurate as possible in terms of his power but it is not possible for the doll just to have 2 arms like in his human fom. That's basically tell you that the dude is so powerful that made the doll need to have 6 arms to equal the power of him with 2 arms.
2) Why did that hashira, Muichiro so talented in sword where he only need 2 months training in order to be part of hashira?
It's because like his crow said he is the descendant of sun breathing wielder. Basically, he has a powerful blood in his body.
But the main problem or main question here is in Tanjiro's dream, the one who held the baby said that the dude doesn't have any heir. So how can Muichiro be his descendant? Interesting right. Making a connection between Upper One and the doll, when the doll was modelled after a human with two arms (pretty normal), the doll just had 6 arms to being even close to emulate Yoriichis swordsmanship skills
You’re also wondering why Muichiro is so strong ‘for no apparent reason’ while his Crow was like “he’s a descendant of the wielder of the Sun Breathing technique”

I’m not a manga reader so no spoilers here! I’m pretty sure that in the first episode, the demon slayer in Tanjiro’s dream said that he had no heirs. So I think it’s safe to assume that Tanjiro is NOT related to the demon slayer.

I'm a manga reader but, thanks to you two, for the first time I noticed this: The reason that Upper One Kokushibo has 6 eyes could be quite related to the fact the doll "Yoriichi Type Zero" needs 6 arms to reproduce the movement of the swordsman who has been yet inflicting trauma on Muzan.😊

The detail I think you guys missed the most has to be the fact that the doll is modelled after a powerful user, Yorichii. Swordsmiths were unable to fully replicate his moves so they had to add 6 arms instead of 2 because he was just that powerful and fast. There wasn't really much comfirmation as far as I could tell about the sword inside the doll, I believe no one really told anyone that a sword could be inside the doll. I would think that sword is possibly a spare sword from Yorichii, a second or very first sword he used before possibly switching to another one or something. This is all my theories as to what the sword is but I can agree with you guys that the sword quite possibly is Yorichii's sword.
When did we get Yorichii's name? I only remember them talking Yorichii type zero, why can we assume that the dude is called Yorichii?
I'm thinking only a Sunbreathing move could get passed the dolls defence and get the sword. we all know that the Mist Hashira is going to demand that sword as he's the descendent of the Sunbreather.

I know I'm four months late lol but, in this ep, he remembers his dream from ep one while seeing that doll and recalls he has seen that man before, but the crow doubts it and kotetsu says it could be a memory passed down by your ancestors. what to note about that is that his dream if it is from the ancestor's perspective would mean that guy in the dream who "tanjiro" was thanking for saving his family, "yoriichi" isn't related to tanjiro because the memory wasn't from his perspective but from who tanjiro was embodying. Also, idk if you missed it this ep but they did say muichiro the mist Hashira himself is a descendant of the first sun user. Hope you ready this! Not a spoiler!

The reason the doll had six arms is because the swordsman that the doll was modeled after was too fast so they had to give the doll six arms too replicate his moves!
They made it with six arm, because it was the only thing they could do to mimic that swordsman's moves.

Hi, first of all i'd like to say love the reaction and energy from the both of you.
There is an anime i would love to see your reaction. Have heard of an anime called 86? its a anime with the main theme of war and racism i think. Although its in a semi mecha genre, but its not focus on big mecha fight like the gundam series. Its more focus on its story, insane character development and world building. There is a lot of foreshadowing and symbolism in this anime, not to mention the fantastic music. There are small fight here and there but it was short and straight to the point type and when there's a big fight, its a big epic fight. Its a roller coaster of emotion. It might be start alittle bit slow on the first 2 episode for the build up, but it pick up later in the season. Happy to see you react to it.🐱
dude in the flashback dream is Yorriichi and he is the first (breather) sun breather. Upper Moon "One" is his brother! Yorriichi is the slayer who almost killed Muzan 300 years ago. Upper Moon one seems like he"s not scared of Muzan because he became a demon to reach his brother's power level.

In the dream of Tanjiro they said that tanjiros grand grand father helped yorichii by giving him food and yorichi saved them. So they are not related and not anchesters. Yorichi just saved and teached tanjiros grand grand father sun breathing , Yorichi had no kids so thats why muichiro cant use it. Only family members who can use it atm is the family tree of Tanjiro because they got taught sun breathing by yorichi. So the " baby " in the dream of tanjiro was his grand father if im not mistaken ( 300 years ) so it must be grand grand father ( yorichis friend also 1. generation ) baby is ( tanjiros grand father 2. generation ) then next one would be tanjiros father ( 3rd generation ) and tanjiro himself. That explains why the sengoku timeline is 300 years ago. So Tanjiro and Yorichi are NOT related.
