    The problem with Paddy is, UFC were pushing a guy based on charisma instead of skill. He’s not a championship level fighter whatsoever, so they had to feed him guys he could beat. Once he got exposed, it was over.

      I hate Jones, but I don't know man. I hear people say GSP lost to Hendricks and Khabib lost to Tibau, but crappy judges gave it to GSP and Khabib. I agreed with the judges on both of those.
      As for Reyes vs Jones, I think it's closer than you're making it out to be. Reyes landed more sig strikes, but Jones had the takedowns and control. It's not that simple.

    I’m just happy he’s chosen MMA as his career. We might have to bide our time, but eventually we’ll get to se him brutally KO’d. That chin up, winging punches “technique” will only get him so far! The UFC will then cool on him and he’ll get booked into tough, bad style match up fights and he’ll get chewed up into a win one, lose one guy that they don’t give a shit about.

    The denial he had of the ‘close’ fight conveyed arrogance. Arrogance combined with the controversial judges decision to win is a bad combination. I hope he returns soon and addresses it saying he used it as fuel to secure the next win. That’s the only way I can see him coming back and not looking like a twat.

    He's a professional athlete in a highly competitive sport, he's supposed to back himself. I thought he lost, but I don't care if he believes he won, he did get the result after all. Boxers do this all the time, yet ufc fighters are expected to be humble, non of them are no matter what they say after a fight, as soon they let doubt crap in they're screwed

    All Dana cares about is making money. How many bad calls have we seen like that Paddy make some money, so yeah, he gets the win. We saw it with Ronda Rousey we’ve seen it and other fights it’s pathetic, but Dana is all about the money not the purity of the sport.

    My problem with Paddy was when he gave Dana a blow job, hating on Ariel Helwani. Telling him if he wants to interview him, he has to pay....But at the same time was interviewing a lot of stars on his own podcast and wasn't paying for a single interview. The Jarrod Gordon fight just finished him off.

      When Ariel told him that wasn't how it was done, Paddy went and out and publicly lied about it.
      NOBODY gets paid to go on Ariel's podcast. What makes Paddy special?
      He's fought nobody but tomato cans.

Time = Money and these professional athletes have as little time possible to fit everything in. I don’t see a problem with asking to be paid if HE was asked to be on the show, but not the other way around.

      HE was the one who contacted Ariel to begin with.
      Paddy was the guy who finally pushed Ariel over the edge. He issued a public statement later.
      "Okay, that's it. I've had enough. Say whatever you want about me. Say I'm a hack, or a terrible journalist, or whatever you want, I don't care. But DON'T LIE ABOUT ME. If you do, I will bring the receipts and make you look stupid in public. Everyone can consider themselves warned from now on."
      Paddy learned the hard way. He tried to make a joke about it in the ring with Joe Rogan his next fight, and nobody thought he was very funny.

    It's not his fault. Judges scored it how they see fit, fair or not. An if he wants to boost that he won so what, all fighters do it, especially boxers so why is it any different when paddy does it?

    I feel he could have recovered from the post fight interview given some time and reflection on his part and acknowledgment that it was close and he talked shit due post fight due to the moment and adrenaline etc, It wouldn't have hurt his stock much at all.
    I think it was the dana interview that really killed his stock, sucking up to dana and talking shit about ariel, Then Ariel bringing receipts to show he was talking undisputed bullshit. It's a shame as he did bring genuine excitement then he pissed the bed and just refused to change the sheets
