Maybe there was no funny business, but Jones was probably right to balk at that.
You forgot Ariel leaking Brock Lesnar's return at UFC 200, that was what truly put Ariel in the bad books for good. Pretty sure he got banned from the MayMac pressers after that too. Also, I can see why Dana was angry about Anderson showboating in Abu Dhabi given that would become a relationship that was literally instrumental to the UFC putting on events during COVID.
For number 5 I actually understand why they don't match up fighters who have beef backstage. Because it would set a precedent where guys will start shit backstage just to get fights higher up in the division that they may not necessarily deserve. Then it turns to fake confrontations and the whole thing has a WWE feel to it.

The whole Anderson vs Maia fight was bizarre, but from a fan perspective, it was incredibly entertaining to watch unfold even though there was no finish. In that fight, Anderson really showcased his skill set. Not only with a wide variety of techniques on the feet, but lightning fast leg kicks and takedown defense. It was a theatrical-like performance we'll probably never see again in the octagon and it should be appreciated for what it is.
