It took months to finally finish this project and to show it to you, it hasn't been easy to come up with this song due to my focal distonya, it was too dificult for me playing this song so probably this is my las video playing in the Yngwie style. I really want to make a transition and focus on new things.
I put a lot of effort on the song and the video production for you to have a high quality video with valuable info in it. if you want to support my work you can take a look at my content in my channel or just sharing this video and suscribing.

Awesome video. Your story is very similar to mine, I discovered Yngwie in the same time you did, and got obsessed.
I transcribed so many of his songs and learnt a lot abot his style, about music in general and composition, the difference is that I never seriously applied what I've learned like you did, I understand his music, his process and can play some of it, but not at a good level, but I'm happy for what I got doing this for so many years.
Now I switched to piano which is my main instrument, but sometimes I play guitar and still listen to Yngwie.
I also scalloped my guitar by myself (I did a tutorial video on how to scallop a guitar here on youtube, but now is private).
Anyway, great content and good job.

Absolutely incredible, my friend. I'm a fellow guitarist and I appreciate how much time and effort went into this. I first got into Yngwie in high school around '04. Saw him live around that time.. Cleveland Ohio, middle of winter, 10 degrees out and snowing. We waited outside for 2 hours and were 3rd in line at this really tiny club. Got to the front row and just held onto the barricade through the opening acts. FINALLY Yngwie came on and I was 6 feet away from him the whole show. It was awesome. I caught 2 of his picks and gave the guy behind me one haha. Keep on rockin, brother. Excellent video.

Your craft is remarkable! Not only the playing, but how you really dive into the theory and how you explain it!

You really took your time to master and give us this masterpiece.

Excellent job, great composition, breakdown and finished track.....well done.
I first heard about Yngwie through my collection of guitar magazines which ( for guitar player) go back as far as 1967. I began collecting around 1975 onwards, and it was there that I heard of him. I was one of the first people in my country (New Zealand), to order his, and many other featured artists first albums, including many of their influences albums too.
His style was, and still is brilliant, and it was an exciting time with many great players emerging. His influence, as well as others of the time....most notably Edward Ludwig Van Halen.....and not long after, Steve Vai, so it was incredible for a young.....then..lol....aspiring guitar player.
I saved hard for my first stratocaster, a 1970 maple neck standard/w tremolo, then replaced the neck pickup with a dimarzio HS 1 (the series Yngwie uses are the HS 3 I believe), and replaced the whammy with a Kahler tremolo......thus beginning my luthierie apprenticeship. At the same time, I got my first Marshall amp, a 2550 25th anniversary 50 watt head and 2 4x12 cabs in silver Rolex. I also got a Roland GP100, top of their line multi fx units, controller and expression pedals. Now own around 70 guitars, acoustics and electrics, and 10 amps, (5 of them Marshalls.....got to converse with Jim Marshall himself, via letters, he was cool!).
Still playing....an eternal student of an instrument that still takes my breath away. Really enjoyed Yngwie on the Satriani inspired G3 video with Steve Vai....all inspirational and exceptionally gifted and talented artists.
I often use a wide vibrato like Yngwie, as well as counterpoint, sweeps and diminished runs.....unfortunately, nowhere near Yngwies incredibly clean speed, but fortunately for me, I learnt from Van Halen, Rhandy Rhoads, Stanley Jordan, Jennifer Batten, Steve Vai, Steve Lynch and Joe Satriani......to two handed tap.
Anyway, really enjoyed your video, hope all is well for you, and pray God bless and protect you and your family.

You are massively talented, but it's a shame you went through all of the effort to create this epic masterpiece, yet were unable to do something about that buzz that plagues your acoustic guitar's contributions throughout...
While I am not a luthier - and am most definitely nowhere near the guitarist you certainly are - if I were to guess, I'd say that either the truss rod needs a very slight adjustment to increase the action (I know, I know... that will make supersonic playing more difficult, but - for the most part - your acoustic parts generally won't call for such a manic playstyle; and when they do, IMO you are plenty adept and should be fine with the extra challenge ‐‐ especially when the tradeoff will be cleaner, buzz-free playing.) OR possibly some of the frets are riding a little high in some places (a more nuanced adjustment, to be sure, but an artist of your caliber should be properly outfitted ‐‐ with equipment that is well-maintained and is in as a condition as is required to sound their very best.
Imho, this is doubly true if the OTHER end of the guitar spectrum is as white-hot as is the case in this upload.
    Electric - 9.5
    Acoustic - 8.4
The fact that you did it seemingly all on your own, including the research, composition, playing and video editing (combined with your likeable personality and apparent humility) - Priceless.
    Overall Enjoyment/Entertainment Rating (for me, personally) - solid 9 - 9.5

I discovered him in 1985 when, I was introduced to his music by my guitar Instructor Neil Zaza.
He forever raised the bar for guitarist everywhere! Just like EVH before him and Jimi before then. That is my top 3 list of guitarists. Seen Yngwie many times over the decades and just saw him on 05/14/22 at the Odean in Cleveland, Ohio. Liked the first 12-15 albums the best! but, even the newest Yngwie will always be better than any new Pop song! LOL
You wrote a great song in the neoclassical style. Great Job it is awesome!
    Thank You!

I discovered Yngwie in 2000 through my friend, he basically said "this is something like Helloween" and handed me a copy of Magnum Opus and it's still my favourite Malmsteen album to this day. His 80's era was his heyday, his biggest rise to fame, but there's something special in his mid 90's albums to me, something about his tone and his musical ideas. His concert back in 2001 was also my very first rock/metal gig I went to (one of the first gigs after Jorn Lande left the band mid-tour and Mark Boals was called in to come back to rescue). His recent work especially since 2008's Perpetual Flame is a disgrace. Ego gone wrong. Not only because lack of inspiration and creativity, but especially because lack of good sound & production.
I like the analystic approach you applied here, the video is also very well structured and edited, understandable even to music laics. I also find it fun to dissect songs by some artists and try to copy their style or understand their musical vision and genius.

Thank you for your comment and support. also for sharing your story, is interesting how people differ on wich was the last "good" album of YJM, I like all his work from 80s / 90s and some albums from his 2000s like Attack and Angels of Love. but, sice he is usog his own label "Rising force" there's a lack of creativity (From my perspective) and I feel those albums became an excuse for touring. I like some recent somgs though, and maybe I wont lisent more than a few times.

Very fine video!, You say ,Yngwie steel it from the old boys,Bach Händel and so on, and made a metal neo-classical rock,He was smart, kid, in the 80s,He is still is a metal king in Japan ,but today its a old fashion style in Europé.

13:34 to 13:53, I don't get how I'm not hearing other notes getting in the way, but only the single note that is being picked. It doesn't appear that he's un-fretting the unwanted notes of the arpeggio. And it doesn't appear palm-muted. Am I missing something?

Good info. 1 question and this is probably going to sound quite amateur-ish but what do u mean when u say "Strings" at 7:51. Is that a violin?? I don't know much about orchestral arrangements but the sound that instrument made is heavenly. How do u incorporate it in to the song u wrote. Is there an application that can do that or do u play that instrument as well??

    • @Andrew-Roz
      @Andrew-Roz  2 года назад

Strings refers to the "strings" section in an orchestra like violins, violas, cellos and other that comes from the violin family. you can find software called VST that simulates the sound of different instruments, you can search on google for Native instruments, project sam, spitfire audio and others companies that creates this software.
