I've been (just barely) full time for over 6 years and lazy as hell. These are all very great tips. Thanks for not just saying "post more on social media" and actually giving genuine advice. Especially regarding focusing on sticking to what makes content creation fun. Channel point redemptions being previews for actual monitization is genius.
Dude you are amazing. You are right, so many of the tips about this topic is unreasonable, clickbait or unattainable for most people. Thank you for these tips
So I'm a Twitch Partner, Professional Designer and an Audiophile so needless to say, I love videos that motivate people and help aspiring entertainers find their way because I personally had zero help and lived in a world filled with trial & error haha - I fucking love your tough-love attitude in this video as you're dropping knowledge bombs. You're speaking the same way I speak to my viewers when they ask questions about streaming/branding/etc. and it's the right way to do it. There's so much "fluff" out there on RUclips where people are walking on egg shells trying not to come off authoritarian because they're discretely trying to farm new fans by coddling clueless aspiring entertainers whereas your video is simply "Yo. Let's cut the BS, just do it like this." and I'm only 10 minutes into the video and love everything you're sharing to your community. Good work man! ✌👽
I know this isn't really the video I'm talking about, but I wanted to thank you so much for your video on how to make overlays with no plugins. I'm definitely the kind of learner who needs to see principles in action before I'm able to create something of my own, and your video took me from not even knowing how to start (yesterday evening) to having overlays I would have paid someone good money to make, and can't wait to show off to my friends (right now). Seriously, thank you.
This is helpful and thank you because working full time, carving out time for family and trying to stream and grow is tough, especially with limited time.
i recently started streaming ( one moth ago ) and ive been looking for ACTUAL tips on how to grow my viewers and followers/subs and everything and everyone says the same things. and your ACTUALLY saying what helps. i will definitely be adding these to my stream routine . so thank you !
Yeah, I think that the biggest hurdle for new streamers to tackle is the idea of simplicity. We see Ninja, Loserfruit, and Gael Level out here with all of the lights and sounds and feel almost obligated to match that energy. Main thing to remember is have fun and be genuine, and that will show through. As you learn, your stream/content presence will also improve. Great video, Gael!
Piggybacking off 14:30 if you have a stream deck there is a clip option you can use via twitch where if you push the button it automatically makes a clip for you to view later! I use it all the time ‼️
I actually already decided while ago that i dont want to boring spin wheel offline or use those select winner in in 1 sec tools but rather do marblees to pick a winner. Its mor engaging, fresh and opeopel have to be inthe stream so that also helps to get more viewers.
Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve been at this for 5 years while maintaining a full time job and trying to position myself to be able to do this full time should I want to, and your advice has been really helpful! I also like how relaxed your videos are, and that you’re not bombarding us with things all over the screen to keep us “engaged”. Keep doing what you’re doing man!
This is such a well timed video! I was just telling my friend, who also streams, that its time for me to clean up my obs, and figure out this whole channel point thing. Thank you for creating videos for different levels of streamers! Hopefully i'll be able to catch you on stream one day.
Bro! Thank you for saying anything but the generic stuff that people say about growing! As a fairly new channel, for me it’s hard to listen to people who have hundreds of thousands of followers and don’t necessarily remember what it was like at the bottom. Not meant in a negative way at all because we’re all aspiring to reach that level but it’s great to see someone who can speak to the up and coming content creators.
Some "Stream Gurus'" keep telling people to network and make friends online, so we got a bunch of folks out there being fake, manipulating others, trying to leech off them or even straight up doing self-promotion in other streamers chats. I don't know who started this "Networking" stuff but man it's annoying the hell out of me and it's so obvious! Ugh.
Thanks! Lots of great tips! Even tho our stream isnt the typical gaming stream I was able to get some great ideas! We have been focusing way more on short social media content lately.
I love videos like this, very helpful and did not beat around the bush! I hope to strive to succeed with my content creation and if I do its credits to you!
What do we use for making clips from streams? Rather than watching the whole vod and editing it after, easiest method please? Also great video and tips!
I just started streaming with my wife and I have a mic that’s more meant to pick up one voice. It’s a good mic, but it’s not really meant to pickup multiple voices. Any mic recommendations for a couple that streams together? Should I look at boom mics instead?
i don’t understand the atrium vertical and the replay buffer rn i use replay buffer but just for landscape and i edit those. Also can you help me make youtube videos like a way to optimize it?
Appreciate your help Gael. Still streaming to one or two friends. Trying to just get a schedule down for streaming AND uploading content on ytshorts/tiktok/ig/x. Got some OBS setup. Just trying to make one improvement either on the streamning side or the editing side every day. Thanks for the inspiration and for the tips/tricks/info
I appreciate this guide! It's not that I want to take the lazy route, it is just so overwhelming all the paths I can take. I don't even want to have fun with it anymore. It's good to be reminded that having fun is the important part and to take it easy. As I grow, I can add more and more complexity to my stream. Thank you!
Do clips really matter? Edit: Also does Tik Tok really matter aswell? I don't really care about the cringe on it. I'm just kinda paranoid of the stupid stuff that has caused alot of bullying and I don't want to associated with something like that, that could potentially ruin any chance I have at this. I'm just kinda scared of the what ifs, if that makes any sense.
tik tok is where I have met a lot of the nicest coolest streamer friends I have now :> I highly reccomend youtube videos and tik toks :) They help a lot

"Twitch Partner, Professional Designer and an Audiophile" I thought I was gonna get roasted lol. Thank you for the kind words. 🙏
@@Gael_Level No way man, you're spitting literal facts my dude. Keep spreading the good word(s)!

I watched this video all the way through and it gave me such a great incentive idea. Thank you so much man, you're the goat 🐐

Love this feature. i also have it drop a stream marker in case the clip misses or im a little late i know exactly where to look in the vod
@@mistalunchbox for some reason the marker one doesn’t work for me, I have to check into it!

This was great with your writing assisting your breakdown. Go Left Hand!
I just started and it’s so much work! More work than fun so this is a great plan to make it fun! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this. I really found it reinvigorating.
The Aitum thing is called backtrack.

Aye, I’m a fellow streamer who’s learning to grow. Best of luck and all the love dawg. Praying to see you blow! 🙏

Thanks! I got some great ideas from this video that I had not considered previously.
These are awesome tips. I have been meaning to update mine as I stream on twitch again now. And maybe some of my images!
Keymailer, Lurkit, Terminals
But what if I have new found lack of motivation?
Solid video as always Gael. Love the honesty and great advice for us lazy/smol brains.
There is “low effort / grow at same sentence”. If you want to succeed on any thing you need to work hard, understand how it works etc. cheers.
Great points - thanks for this!
"Oh, But Me As A Graphic Designer..." Shut up!!! I'm not talking to you!!! 😂😂
Ty for this video!! I really appreciate a video like this that doesn't just repeat the same things 1000 times, keep up the good work!
Ok, now I need to rewatch and take notes. Bah! Thanks for the tips bro!
Thanks!
Lots of great tips!
Even tho our stream isnt the typical gaming stream I was able to get some great ideas!
We have been focusing way more on short social media content lately.
P.S. Its still very hard to grow tho! Sometimes seems we work so much for so little... but we keep it up!
Solid advice!
🙏
Steaming off and on for years and really trying to understand it its a tuff game for sure
You really should divide your videos up into chapters - a chapter for each step would be helpful to us.
Fuck man I really needed this thank you. I hit the sub button only to realize I'm already subbed. Me sitting here with 1 viewer

great video. needed this info really badly. I wont forget you when I make it
Good video! What would be your advice for someone who wants to be more than a twitch streamer.
Do I feel called out? Yes. Am I going to redo my branding and add some overlay/watermark? Yes. 😊
So, how can we get you to come visit and check out the stream (live or VOD), and hear your criticism either good or bad to help one fix any issues?
So hard to grow on any platform.
💯
If it was easy... Everyone would do it
@@JoseFigueroa-p5iTrue! Although it does feel like everyone is doing it.
It’s not easy, but it takes work! Everyone thinks they can do it until they try.
It is why let that stop u

Excellent tips as always
Great video bro 💯👌❤
Ahhh it's almost 2025!!😮
Goated 📈
This is such a great video! Thank you for this! 👊🏻
Maybe a stupid question but what is the replay buffer, how do I use it and how do I use "Atom vertical"?
Gael is there a way to put TikTok chat in OBS?
Thank you!
What were you using to draw?
Low effort is the way to go!!!!
One question that I am wondering about: Should I speak in my language or is english better?
Your language is often better. Less competition, better local opportunities, more likely to dominate your niche.
@@Gael_Level Oh Okay, tha's actually nice to hear, thanks
Is that an iPad or actual drawing tablet you were using? If an iPad what app were you using?
Galaxy S7FE, app is Samsung notes
@@Gael_Level appreciate the info.

I cannot find the link to the cross-posting service, can someone drop it for me please?

First!
I wanted to type this for many years. 😅
Congrats!
Windows updates screw all my audio settings
Is their a way to do this without a stream deck?
Yes, OBS settings > keybinds for the replay buffer. Aitum vertical settings for their backtrack feature
Thanks boss@@Gael_Level
