In many ways, this music video reminds me a lot of Radiohead’s video for “Karma Police”; a car moving along a road on a dark ominous night, a man struggling and fearing for his life, a band member making a short appearance as a silent onlooker that does nothing to help the situation, and the viewer - a passenger being taken along for the ride to witness all the tension.
That makes sense. Karma Police was directed by Jonathan Glazer and Daughters cited his work as an inspiration. He could have been inspired by that video.
I'm so glad you did this film clip - a lot of people don't know about it - (mainly because it was removed from RUclips for ages) - but HOLY HELL it disturbed me the first time I saw it.
I'm so glad that I came across your video. I would have never thought to check the "Wrong" video out. And boy is it a strong song/video. I used to live a life like the guy in the video, but I was able to pull out before the finality of death came. I am so grateful everyday.
This video and song combination is deep. The song tells about not being in the right place, without power over it. Like being born into a toxic family. The video shows what can happen when you stay in it for, as Martin L. Gore sings in the song, too long. Sadly this song hits me on a personal level, almost perfectly.
'cursed female' is still the most messed up video(made for the masses and heavy rotation). 30+ years and still is oddly disturbing. Even more so when it came out.
You wanna talk about a music video that's scary, you should do one for "prime time of your life" by daft punk. I wouldn't mind also seeing one on the video for "closer" by nine inch nails
The strange thing is DM doesn’t really have any videos like this. Most of them are standard Anton Corbin b&w mood pieces or giddy pisstakes. Hell, one is just a video with a huge lightbulb blocking everything. The band is only outdone by New Order when it comes to bands who I love musically but can’t stand their videos.
What's the name of that music video? Where a homeless guy keeps getting hit by cars. I think that should get its own episode. But not before The Verve's, "Bitter sweet Symphony"

Crown Vics were also police cars back in the day....with a police interceptor engine.
Its an awesome thriller, very Hitchcock
The same album also produced, for some, an even more creepy video for Hole To Feed. One of their best albums TBH.

UNKLE Rabbit In Your Headlights
So glad I discovered your channel!
I love watching Depeche Mode’s official videos playlist, there is so many great videos!
This is one of my all time favorite music videos
I just subscribed then I saw the venture bros clip and wished I could subscribe twice.
"Mr Hurricane" by Beast was also nominated for the music video Grammy that year and blows that Black Eyed Peas video away. Highly recommend!!!
Boom Boom Poo beat this? What the füççque were they thinking??!
Robyn's videos or bjork or Tori Amos...
You should take a look at Lullaby by the Cure - it has a somewhat horror vibe to it.
“Who dance to this?” 😂 👏🏻👌🏻 true
DM singles usually come with several remixes.
So try the Trentemøller remix of Wrong, if you wanna dance to it.
I’d love to hear about the story of „song for the lovers“ from Richard Ashcroft by Jonathan glazer
9:58 not surprised from the guy who helped Johnny Knoxville in the development of Jackass for MTV

AFX Twin "Come to Daddy" watch that 3 in the morning on a slightly fuzzy TV 😉
Really sucks that the video for "Everybody poops" won over this one.
Interesting. You should maybe make a video on, “Loser” by Beck or Pearl Jam’s all time controversial, “Jeremy” video.

I'll check out that daft punk video. And rest assured there will come a time I'll do Closer.
Hell yeah

@thegeecyproject thank you, you're going to heaven.
The way Americans pronounce Depeche Mode like it’s a setting on a photocopier cracks me up.
Hah hah - love that.
Jesus Christ 🙃
good video/shite song
