Fair and direct as always, Mr. Mobile. Always a treat to watch your reviews. As for the shades, color me skeptical. This seems like a neat $200 party trick, not much more.
i bought them the day after this review when bose had retail stores. Ive broken 3 pairs and ive got 3 new pairs overnighted. They are an essential item. A gimmick still but do yourself a favour and pick them up. The Suprise never goes away!
I bought my Altos back earlier this year and I love them! I actually took them into my optometrist and had my prescription lens installed into them. They are even better and I use them way more then just outside. I use them at my work desk and just jam away to music while working! Great product!!
@@NomadTiff I actually got them about a week ago and yes they can hear you if they are close enough to you but no sound quality complaints from the person on the other end
I just got mine, and at 75% or so, I've been told by my wife, that she can hear faint music but she wouldn't be able to determine where it's coming from.
Thank you for your honest approach in every single video Mr. Mobile, that's so refreshing, especially compared to the vast majority of reviewers out there. Kudos!
Couldn't trust to see other reviews until you posted! Now can fairly judge what's or who's right!! Your reviews are great and one of a kind... Hoping to see great reviews ahead!!
Judging by the form factor and the way they're built I'd say that other people would be able to hear what you listen to. It's not like bone induction or anything. It's just a speaker above your ear...
I am amazed with every video you upload your way of talking and the words you say always amazes me with their simplicity and their effect and meaning You are the only reviewer that I enjoy getting information about tech from Thank you 🤳👌👌✌
I love what be says at the end of his video... He's basically saying " he's not a sell out , so with that being said all his reviews are 100% his own personal opinion " you don't find tech reviewers like that anymore. Keep it up bud
i’m constantly listening to music when i’m out and about. one thing i hate about headphones when walking down the street is how much it isolates me and limits my awareness of my surroundings. i wish you had touched on that more with these sunglasses, if it makes a big difference when you’re in public and there’s lots of things going on around you. you mentioned the bus drowned it out but that was about it. i like the idea of having speakers so close to your ears so you don’t have to turn it up. but not having them cover your ears, so you can pay attention to what’s going on around you. say, if there was suddenly some commotion and now you’re in an emergency situation and need to react accordingly. maybe i’ll wait for a polarized version and give them a shot by summertime
My issue with Bose is with products like these, the sound quality is far below what it should cost. Those shoulder mounted speakers you showed I would pay at most $150 for the sound fidelity but their asking of $300+ is ridiculous to me. Same with the QC35. It's cool tech that you're paying the extra cost for the name. I haven't heard these yet so won't critique them but I probably would be happier with my SE215, Oakleys, and my smartwatch for those smart features rather than ditching them for a product seemingly not as good at any of those fields. Great review and interesting video as always though, Mr. Mobile
And yet another refreshing review! They always feel so damn good and are a pure pleasure to watch! You are for sure one of my biggest inspirations. The glasses - I find them to be really really interesting but one question still remains - are they actually hearable for people around you? (if yes maybe bone-conduction might be the way to go for future generations) Cheers and greetings from Germany! 🐑
Great review as always - thanks MrMobile! I may have missed it, but could you comment on the sound isolation/leakage i.e. can people in your near vicinity also hear the output or is isolated to near your head?
I love wearable tech. First the Levi’s smart jacket, then the Bose wear and now this. I’d buy them all if I had the money to. That’s why products like these are so attractive to me, even though I wouldn’t use the, very often!
Hello super Review, I have a question? If you had to decide to buy headphones which of the three would you buy or which ones do you think are better? Blitzwolf® BW-FYE2 ~ 30€ Dudios Zeus Air Bluetooth 5.0 ~ 27€ TRN V80 ~ 22€
I find earbuds incredibly uncomfortable and need sunglasses for glare in the pnw so when I tried these on I was absolutely thrilled! I do have some standard headphones but they fall off when I’m gardening, which is much of my day, so this is the coolest thing since sliced bread for me! I love them. Also they’re great to listen to music in the car while driving my elderly parents around. No need to change my music because it bothers her anymore because she can’t hear it! but I can still hear her. Perfect.
Benefit is that it doesn't block off traffic noise. But I think bone conduction is still the way to go, if this solution also doesn't offer to much bass. Benefit with bone conduction is that when suddenly ambient noise overpowers it, the solution can be as simple as a finger (or earplug) into the ear canal, you don't have to swap gear.
I just saw these today in a Bose store and they were interesting - I would definitely be looking forward to a follow up review when these get the Bose AR software.
Not a fan of the design of either option, but definitely a fan of what Bose is trying to achieve. It would have been great if Bose had put a microphone under each lens, that way it would be much closer to your mouth and with two extra microphones on the back, noise cancellation would be magnificent.
@@TheMrMobile it does sound like they have a product with great potential. That or you're just so good at reviews that even the crappy products are appealing 😆
In-ear sound buds really bother me a lot. Headphones sometimes too bulky to use. Bought Bose frames and I really like them. Very comfortable to wear and very happy with sound. I have a tendency to listen at high volume but Bose frames have no volume control therefore preventing me from going deaf. Wore frames in a crowded Doctors office, no one else seemed to hear my frames playing music. So far so good.
As someone who wears glasses all day every day, I'd be interested in these once they had a prescription option. Even more so if you could get the transitional lenses that go from clear to dark depending on the light.. for now I'll stick to those little AKG guys that came with my S9+
Hi mike nice reviews. Heard the sound. Not a ground crashing when it comes to bass boosting. On an average Pretty good sound. My question is do they support Bose hearing enhancing app? I mean can we use this frame for enhancing conversation for those with mild to moderate difficulty in hearing . I know Bose they do have hearing enhancing earphones. But frames are better for your working conditions where you can use prescription lenses rather than pair of earphones.
For the people wondering about sound leak, I got you. I tried these at the mall last weekend, so Im basically an expert. Theyre no louder than regular earbuds so you can hear it only when close enough to hear someones buds
My friend has these and they're really nice! That being said, I definitely will stick to my polarized Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Alternating between my Bose SoundSport Wireless and QC35 II is good enough. Great video per the usual!
Hello, Mrmobile. I speak with you from Bolivia. I have a question: here, the cost of the huawei mate20 is $ 570, the galaxy note 9 of 128 GB costs $ 750, the OP6 of 128 GB costs $ 605 and the OP6t of 128 GB costs $ 760, which you recommend and for what?.
Before watching this I just assumed these would be pretty bad, but you've convinced me that they might have a place...still don't think it's for me though.
Prescription glasses, close to 6hr playback and 18hr standby. I feel there will be a lot of uptake for this! I wonder how audible it is to others around in an office environment.
Hi Mr Mobile, Loved your video. I think Bose is on to something! very cool idea could definitely manifest into something amazing!!! you inspired me to create my RUclips account I truly love your videos ever since your old-school pocketnow videos
Any update on these? Just now hearing about these and wondering if they are still worth it at full price. Are newer models set to release anytime soon?
I assumed these were bone conduction. Didn't realise it was just a little speaker. I'm keen to know how audible they are to others. Even bone conduction isn't completely quiet, and this seems like it'll be annoying to others. They do look sleek and not having something in your ears is good for safety. I like that Bose is willing to try new things like this. That neck speaker seemed stupid, but I see the purpose now and I know a few people who have them. The sleep buds seemed like a crazy expensive alternative to ear plugs you can buy for a couple of bucks, now I have a set I use every night. I like that they do their 30 day trial on all these new products. Also I've found their customer service quite good. My sleep buds had an issue with a high pitched squeal, that neither my wife nor the lady at the Bose shop could hear. Still replaced them on the spot.
How is the volume for people around you? Are they able to listen to your music, too? I would assume, that this would sound to them as a low volume Bluetooth-Speaker.
I want to wait for the second version to improve on these, but I feel like I need to buy these so they even consider making a second version. Not quite sure why they didn't make them bone conduction, though
Polarised lenses on their website for 30 bucks. Blue lenses for 20 bucks. Battery last forever if you turn on with 3 seconds from call coming in. Not like they need to be on at all times. Can charge from phone I'm your pocket while wearing just like people who wear headphones. The sound is awesome with the right files.
At first I thought these were bone conducting, but this looks cool anyway. They should make them as regular glasses tho. And it would be cool if they had a charging "case", and if in the future the sunglasses-holder cubby on cars could charge smart glasses wirelessly or something.
Mr Mobile, you didn't mention if the music you are listening to or the calls you are answering is private or people around you can listen to you while that is happening. Because privacy of playlist and conversation is a big factor when it comes to an offbeat gadget choice.
It's crazy but at 200 bucks it is not a bad price when you consider the combo you get. Granted no polarization and it seems like they don't offer loud enough sound to completely replace earbuds, but still seriously impressed with the price.
200 usd for a frame come headphone not tht much bt there’s not enough bass on it and thanks to mr mobile for such a honest review cause u have mentioned it tht less bass on the frames 🖼
