“I’m gaming the system” is what I yell whenever I clumsily grab every quarter from the local park’s fountain
Every time you steal coins from a fountain, you also steal as many wishes from people, and an Angel gets an abortion 🤷♂️
The singer in Trap is Saleka Shyamalan. The whole family is killing it lol
I think the big twist for trap is that josh hartnetts character is a serial killer just not the one they are looking for and the serial killer they are after is also at the same concert.
OR maybe the daughter is the serial killer and he protects the secret. Like a Dexter situation lol
It seems strange, obviously the police dont know who the serial killer is, so why cant he just walk out the door?
@@SebTheGreat84 Well, we'll watch and find out.
@@kimberlyjeanne9456 No he's the killer, it's in the synopsis.
Perfect cosplay idea... Jay as Garfield and Adam as John Arbuckle. It just fits. 😊
After the Garfield trailer I honestly thought Jay is going slap Adam so hard in the face for putting that dumpster-fire in the Palooza
Boy Kills World definitely knows exactly what kind of script they're working with and are fully leaning into it.
Jay. Sorry but Garfield is going to be your kid’s favorite movie, you’ve willed it into existence. 😂
No matter what you may think of Shyamalan, at least the man's telling imaginative stories that aren't remakes or sequels! His films aren't my cup of tea but I gotta give him props for trying different things. And I'm loving Josh Hartnett's comeback between this, Oppenheimer, and Black Mirror!
I swear, your reactions to bad trailers are incentive enough to never skip through these. The angry and disappointed silence after the Garfield trailer was one of the funniest things I've watched in a while
Boy kills World is incredible. Watched it without watching the trailer and man what an experience. It’s exactly what it presents itself as in the best way possible
Same! I had no idea what I was in for.
Your faces at the Garfield trailer
Late Night with the Devil was excellent. Some of the effects were a little B-movie, but it was genuinely impressive and they absolutely NAILED the 70's cheesy talk show aesthetic.
I thought it was the best thing I've seen so far this year. The build up was incredible.
Late Night with the Devil is one of my favorite films so far this year. Highly recommend
Just an FYI, the pop artist in the Trap movie is M. Night Shamalan's other daughter (ie, not the one that made the Watchers).
Saw “boy kills world” in theaters on Sunday. Imagine “Guns Akimbo” cranked up to a 12. And it’s FUUUCKING AWESOME
I think Trap is inspired by Hitchcock's movie Rope. Those movies have a similar premise of the killer who is at risk of getting caught.
In regards to Trap - lots of films, including really loved ones have their protagonists be the “villain” or the threat of the film. It’s not always about relating to the character but what you get out of the story, the arc, the world or the themes revolving said character.
Jay’s ideal movie:
Garfield + Trap = movie
A trap set using the Garfield movie as bait.
"Late Night With the Devil" was really good and quite original. Can't say I have seen one like it before. It had some minor flaws, but absolutely worth seeing.
Funny thing, the Garfield live action movie (2004) was one of the few movies I’ve ever walked out of. So at least they are staying consistent.
The Cockatiel would be named Lucifer because its your favorite show!
"He's just churning out Twilight Zone episodes" is the best endorsement I've heard.
Saw Boy Kills World last week in an empty theater. Deserves more attention, the action was wild and it was funny overall too!
Late Night With the Devil is a great one too! Had me on edge like an episode of *The Boys* where you get that feeling that someone's head is gonna blow up, lol
Just so Jay can rest easy, there are still Laser tag places, believe me, I went to one the other day and they’re still great! Also, great video, as always!
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Transformers One might be a sleeper into some of the deeper lore from the series that gets more emotional, but totally built to be for kids. They brought out the name 'Orion Pax' and I immediately sat up the first time I watched it.
LMAO the looks on your faces after the Garfield trailer.. pure gold! tears in my eyes as as type....LOL
The people making Garfield loved Harvey Guillén performance in Puss in Boots the Last Wish they casted him as Ode... a character that doesn't speak...
Your reaction to the Garfield trailer was infinitely more entertaining than the actual movie is going to be.
I somehow accidentally skipped about 2 minutesahead to the exact spot where you were calling out skippers, so I restarted the video.😂
I loved Late Night With The Devil. Bought that as soon as it was available earlier this month, was not disappointed, though it didn't scare me as much as Ghost Watch, which is the same premise of a "live broadcast" but they used actual newscasters and aired it live on Halloween. They tricked a lot of people with that, including me, lol.
I just want to say thank you, you guys literally get me through my bad days!
The look of betrayal on Jay's face after the Garfield trailer... chef's kiss! 😂
Jay talking about the Safety Saber just gave me the best vision of him sitting in a dark room watching a horror movie just death gripping his family axe.
Late Night with the Devil is fantastic, one of the best genre flicks I've seen in a while. Boy Kills World is grand too. In Bonus Action terms it's essentially two hours of folks pulling from the Mimic Kill Box and having those scenes depicted as graphically as possible. Not a whole lot of exposition, but the whole thing lives by the Rule of Cool and that's just fine. Last but not least, who knew it would be an animated Garfield flick that overwhelmed the perpetual positivity of our internet best friends? I didn't see that coming.
One of my favorite things about “late night with the devil” is how misleading the title is.
S Tier - Lasagna
F Tier - Fettuccine
The one thing i loved about the transformers trailer was everyone having trouble transforming for the first time. It reminded me of when i was a kid and i could only figure out how to turn my megatron halfway into a tank
Signs is excellent! Unbreakable and Split!
Boys, it's not fair to judge Ishana by her dad's movies. She wrote and directed a bunch of episodes of The Servant and is an excellent filmmaker in her own right. I can't wait for The Watchers and to see what she can do in film.
Anyone else notice how grey jay has gotten in such a short time
Kids
"You want to own Garfield and I want to be Garfield"
This year's Halloween costume? 🤔
Garfield is just a way to kill time for parents for that day
Let's Trailerpalooza!!
I’m bummed as hell about that Watchers trailer, the first one they released was so good because it was very short and did not give too much away.
re: twist presentation, when I watched the trailer for Shutter Island, I knew exactly what the “twist” would be, but the way they went about it was so fun and so beautiful, I loved it! Still do!
Not every movie is for us. The kids are gonna love Garfield 😂
28:20 You can still do isolation in modern day. Just have the people physically isolated, and either separate them from their phones or have them have little to no signal for some reason. Even writing in the no signal as part of the story. Maybe the audience sits there and watches the "devil" drain the batteries on all of their phones at once in a dramatic display of power. You literally could have a horror movie called "No Signal" or "No Bars" and play off of that anxiety some people have when they lose connection on their phone.
I’ve seen all Shyamalan movies except for The Last Airbender and After Earth, and regardless of how good or bad they are I’ve enjoyed them all rather plenty. I am looking forward to Trap!
As one of the last seventeen M. Night Shyamalan fans in the world, I would love if he had a Netflix/Amazon anthology series.
The stadium they’re showing in Trapped is Rogers Centre in Toronto!
All I heard was Mario doing a Chris Pratt impression doing Garfield.
You don't want to feel for serial killers? Oof, Trap may as well star a shooter's mom 😆
"No skip, all drip!"
Surely you don't think Trap is so obvious that Josh is the villain? More likely his daughter is the killer than he is.
The pop star? Night's daughter - what a family.
No, he's the butcher. It's in the synopsis.
@@redmagus7334 "A father and his teen daughter attend a pop concert only to realize they've entered the center of a dark and sinister event." is the real synopsis. That abomination on Wikipedia was clearly written by someone that's never seen a Shyamalan file before.
I feel like Ryan George’s Pitch Meeting will be exactly the right amount of attention for me to give to a movie like The Watchers.
Welp can't see anyone but Garfield and Jon anymore
@pReview'd They didn't expect Bad Boys 3 to perform as well as it did to warrant the 4th film.
For Trap my theory is, he is the Kid from the 6th Sense, his daughter has been killed by the killer which is a "super human in the Unbreakable universe, that is Adrian Brody who escaped from the Village and survived his fall.
Saw Late Night With The Devil last weekend on Shudder. It's awesome! Not sure if either of you really like creepy scares but it's great imo!
I love trailerpaloozas, they introduce my to movies I didn’t know existed and trailers I probably wouldn’t have watched on my own. ❤
My favorite part is when you guys rarrrararrrarrriff. 😁
Late Night with the Devil is very, very good.
Kinda funny you mentioned real time movie and then followed with Late Night with the Devil. Loved that film
The Zodiac movie made as an attempt to lure and trap the serial killer, was imaginatively titled " The Zodiac Killer"🙄
I agree about jump scares. They're getting too predictable and overused. I know they're trying to build a sense of dread, but by now the only dread they caused is wondering when it's coming because you already know there will be one.
I appreciate Adam giving voice to my tactic to watching horror films.
"Boy Kills World" is a fun movie- I saw it last weekend.
"Late night with the devil" had potential but it got less scary towards the end.
Some things I want to add about Transformers: One is that while the trailer itself hasn’t gotten the most amount of people fully interested, there are some leaks and behind-the-scenes stuff that have garnered a bit more interest in the movie.
The biggest interesting thing is that the test screenings for Transformers: One have been reported to be the best test screenings for any Paramount animated movie yet. And from what I’ve seen, that not only includes stuff like the original SpongeBob movie and Mutant Mayhem, but also stuff like the Sonic movies. So I’m definitely interested to see how it goes. After all, a trailer doesn’t always entail how good or bad a movie will be. The trailers for Puss in Boots 2 didn’t get too many people hyped for the movie, but when the movie came out it was absolutely fantastic and became really successful.
Now, for some light spoiler talk (WARNING: for anyone who doesn’t want to know more about the movie just yet) this movie is about the start of the Autobot-Decepticon war. It’s going to be about how Optimus (Orion Pax) and Megatron (D-16) went from the best of friends to the worst of enemies. And the director has stated that while the movie will start off more lighthearted, things are going to get more serious as time goes on in the movie with a tone shift at the halfway point where things get really serious, and potentially dark. So it definitely sounds like there’s going to be some tragedy and serious tones that might be similar to some themes we saw in stuff like Arcane. The director has also stated that the movie is for old Transformers fans, new Transformers fans, and the general audience, so we’ll see what happens when the movie comes out.
I'm excited for Trap! This actually looks like it could be a good M Night Shymalan flick
I really miss having a movie or series to look forward too. I was so happy when Shogun came along, finally something to look forward too, aaaand now we're back to nothing again. However, I do always look forward to your reviews!! 😊
Drove 30 miles out of town to see Late Night with the Devil in theaters, fantastic, need more like it
BOY did that Garfield ruin the mood for the entire rest of the palooza. wowza.
I’m looking forward to Bad Boys 4, Garfield Movie, & Transformers One
I was confused about The Watchers trailer because it didn't scream M. Night trailer. It's actually not directed by M. Knight. It's directed by Ishana Shyamalan, his daughter. It's her directorial debut. Trap, which I am looking for too, is directed by M. Night. I see his family is trying to start their dynasty this year. In all fairness though, his daughter sounds amazing in the trailer. I am intrigued to see where Trap goes. Josh in back on the scene and he looks creep as all get out, so I am excited for it.
Trap is gonna hit diffy
Once upon a time my friend and I decided we needed to Bad Boys 2 in theatres. We were 12 at the time. We figured that if we dressed up like adults, we could convince the ticket-taker to let us in. This led to me getting contacts and wearing pants that weren't sweatpants (callback! Everyone watch Fix It! I'm not getting paid for this, it's just a ton of fun!). And then girls started to notice me and I was suddenly cool. All because I wanted to see Bad Boys 2 in theatres -- a movie I have never seen.
16:40 I had literally just come back from checking for a Wikipedia summary.
Gotta do the new Mufasa trailer 😊
"Are you sure no one's gonna come in?"
"Chris Pratt is playing Garfield."
"Yeah, nah."
😂
Within a few seconds this trailer completely blew itself apart by making Garfield and all the other cats talk, the same fatal mistake the live action movie made. An absolute insult to the character. Everyone knows they only talk in thoughts, never by opening their mouth.
You know, watching that Transformers trailer again, it's growing on me.
I hope it turns out to be a fun little romp.
Peaches don’t skip
Rumor has it that Trap is connected to the Sixth Sense. No clue if it's true but that would be cool
The trailer for Trap seemed to show how the killer and his daughter got trapped at the show.
She LOVES the singer and somehow maybe he won tickets (because she stated they were REALLY good seats)..?
M. Night's daughter adopted all the worst excesses of her father.
Bad boys 2 is an absolute ride you guys should do a react to.
omg the guys from fix it
AND from Bonus Action!
Also...so Garfield = Fetch??? Sorry, still recovering from working the Mean Girls musical LOL...which was WAY more entertaining than whatever the frak that trailer showed. 😬🤣
Need faux mugshots of Jay and Adam "Our Bad Boys" on a tshirt, expiditiously
Honestly, after watching Late Night With the Devil, I think y'all might like this film more than most horror films. Despite one particular disturbing scene (involving ocular horror), it's more into what's not shown than what is. The final scene was mind-blowingly good. I would TOTALLY understand if y'all didn't watch it though. I know how y'all are about possession movies. But the story is less about that and more about what price you would pay for success. EXCELLENT film in my opinion though.
Adam's turtle face @ 26:43 screams NOPE!! Haha that was my face while watching that trailer. My soul would feel disturbed watching that film so it's a no for me.
Sometimes y'alls reactions to the truly terrible trailers is the funniest part. Thanks for making my morning! And hard pass on Garfield!
B-129 is Bumblebee. They say it at the start of the Bumblebee movie.
Also, this movie is canon to the new timeline live-action movies, which start with Bumblebee.
Knock at he cabin was good 15:30
Hurry up and show me that last episode of fallout. I can't wait to see your reaction. As a long time fallout fan. It blow my mind. It changes the games forever to me. Thanks guys you are the best.
so is trap in the same universe as glass, split, and unbreakable? is that what it meant or is there another Shyamalan verse?
The Garfield movie should have been about the human while Garfield narrates and comments - or something like that...
Jay, I'm totally on your side with Transformers One. The characters felt wrong, the humor was a little too goofy, and Transformers is already a kid-first franchise - couldn't they simply have done a 'how did the war start' movie for the first animated CG Transformers movie?
*watches Trailerpalooza while secretly wishing it's the Fallout finale reaction*
Patience, young padawan. 😉😁
15:33 Signs, Unbreakable, and The Visit?
I’m pretty excited for transformers one but I’m transformers nerd so I’m bias. I will say the pre screenings have been overwhelmingly positive so I am very curious about how this will go. I see being either mutant mayhem or spiderverse at best.
9:21 how have you not seen that last one
