Great work! Group effort. Quite the milestone (no pun intended) to have La Grand Murialle de Lalacelle rebuilt. Ash and Terry are just such an adorable pair!!
Congratulations on the wall. As a sports injury specialist in Toronto I have to encourage Tony to go get his shoulder treated as soon as possible!!!! At least get a massage. If it becomes a frozen shoulder it is very hard to treat it and it takes six months to a year for a frozen shoulder to thaw/recover. Really liked how you presented the gifts. Nice to see the gifts briefly and acknowledgement of the wonderful people who sent them!!!! Cheers from Toronto. PS I do give out free advice anytime
Just recovering from 10 months of a frozen shoulder. Get it sorted Tony, you don't want to be out of commission for a year. It's not a sore arm, it's basically an arm and shoulder that becomes unusable entirely. I couldn't even lift a glass of water for a few months. It's meant losing a year of my life, not being able to sleep properly etc. I was able to lift my arm long enough with only tiny pain to put my hair up a few days ago and I can't even tell you how much I have missed the use of it. Still probably a few months before it's "normal" again.
I would strongly urge you to have your shoulder examined by a doctor before your shoulder gets worse. Speaking from experience, after years of shoulder pain and a diminishing range of motion, I finally consulted an orthopedic doctor. Scans revealed that I needed surgery, followed by a lot of physiotherapy. Had it done just in time before the problem got worse and I lost the use of my arm. Sometimes, creams, gels, etc., aren’t the solution. We care about your wellbeing, Tony. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦
No matter what obstacles you face you always find a way to overcome them, even finding a way to move a thousand blocks from the main road to the secret garden. The wall looks fabulous and it’s amazing how quickly it got put up. A great week for all of you wonderful people 💗💗💗
Watching these old episode, I miss the family getting together at the end of your newer episodes. Sitting there talking about your work, makes the viewer feel part of your family🤔
This is the sweetest family from England, coming to France ,to restore a Chateau. They are doing all on their own.At this time they are fixing a outside wall that fell down.It was very devastating.I would recommend to start from the beginning so you can really see how hard this family has worked and how lovable they are. I think they would love some help. Even if you only have time to watch from getting ready for the Holidays and forward till now.... I recommend it.I watch them everyday.
Tony please be careful of that frozen shoulder. It can incapacitate you for months. Get some therapy if available locally. It will be money well spent. Take care everyone! You are all doing such an amazing job.
Such a great time to see that wall being built and lots of happy faces.... Well done guys.. onwards and upwards, Rome was not built in a day so don't break your backs to much, you need to enjoy it too. One day I would like to pay a visit when time allows. You are hard grafters. Take care everyone. Happy Mothers day to your ma, a very hard working, inspirational and lovely Lady Tracey 💐 take care all 💛
This episode is one of my favorites because you all looked so happy and relieved the the wall is going up. It will be better and stronger. No worries of it collapsing. You all have achieved a lot this year and should be very proud and satisfied. I also liked the authenticity of the donkey braying proving that you are out in the country and living your dream. God bless you all.
We are glad you got the wall going and back to what it was, you guys are work, work and work. Now that spring is here get a fire going and have a family barbecue and relax. We love watching your progress though.
Patrick and the chickens are making sure Terry is doing things right..Great collaboration and the wall loves phenomenal, and that little fountain is very quaint, always love a nice water feature.
What a fantastic week you guys have had, productive and enjoyably rewarding. The wall, the garden, the gifts and seeing it all through together. Beautiful... ❤🇦🇺
You’re such an inspirational family. No task too difficult, too big, or too arduous! The progress on ‘the wall’ is fantastic after Terry’s intense disappointment…and it looks beautiful. Well done!
I get so tickled at your hens, they are so nosey and want to see what you are doing and scratching all the new turned over soil 😂. You guys have done so much with rebuilding the wall! Great job everyone!
Hurrah! The wall is terrific. So sweet of Terry and Ash to put the little water feature in place. Patrick is certainly a good supervisor. Take good care everyone.
The wall was a lot of work but went up way faster than I thought. You all look so relieved and happy. And making the little bubbler for your mum was so nice! I love how thoughtful and kind you are to each other. Many hugs xx
Watching these videos always fills my heart with hope and admiration. Your family is an inspiration to all families around the world. Loved the close-up shots of the fountain and insects. Those chickens are as much "underfoot" as Patrick is sometimes:)
You guys are unbelievable I can’t believe how much you have gotten accomplished! Your family is so inspiring! I had no doubt that you would rebuild that wall as quickly as you could! I’m very happy that I donated.
So good that the wall is up! Now you can finish it off slowly. Love the little fountain for Tracey! When the tubs are up and running you need to take Epsom salts baths!! Great for sore muscles!
I just love how wee ‘Patrick’ is always around whenever & wherever you guys are working “just like like a wee foreman overseeing the job!” He always makes me have a wee chuckle seeing him checking things out wherever!! Congratulations to ALL of you for all your hard work - things are all coming along just great👍! Luv from a 🇨🇦 fan 💕.
Amazing how quickly you’ve surmounted such a set back, and with humour and good grace too. The new wall looks smashing, and in the long run will have been more than worth it
Wow!!! The wall is looking amazing! I know you were heartbroken when it fell and all the work seemed daunting, but you’ve all done marvelous work so the chateau’s beauty can be preserved!
I think Patrick needs a wee hard hat and a clipboard. Fantastic weather for building the wall hard, hard work but that’s something none of you are afraid of. All the best with the rest😊
Great video as always. It seems like now (I've been watching since 1st saw you on another channel before your channel was up) things are starting to come together. Loved seeing some of the old stones going up on the corner of the wall. Glorious. Then to see flowers blooming at the chateau. Amazing shot of the daffodils waving in the breeze. Caravan's are not an (ugh we'll put you up there), they are an opportunity for later to amaze. As a life long camper dragged around the U.S. by parents at 1st, and now an avid glamping aficionado pointing out the bright side of the caravan's could not be avoided. Each caravan it a chance to remodel and decorate by theme and design. Themed caravans is a selling point not a hinderance. A long way off? Likely, but just the same vlog material. Glamping is part of the package you are working to create. With 3 to work your magic on... Opportunity. Just my tarnished 2 cents, but I love watching you all create. So happy to see the smiles.
Patrick 🐾🐶overseeing the work like a boss with his assistant’s the chickens 🐓 running around inspecting all of your work🧐🧐 to make sure it’s done properly 😘😘😘
I like your idea of building the wall shorter so have better views! I love seeing you open your packages!! Well done to everyone for working hard on the wall!! Love from Vermont
Thank you for your "artistic eye" for the footage. We can always expecr the little moments like the Lady Bug you featured this week. Happy to see your progress and relax with you all.
You guys are awesome!! So good to see you all smiling again. Phenomenal how the work on the wall has progressed. Take care and rest your backs for a day Sending love to you all xx💖💖
Energized bunny needs to treat shoulder, they have great medical treatment in France, use it. Could just do three walls with fourth either shorter or with windows in it so as not to block view.
Those pallets used for cinder blocks or bricks tend to be hardwood like oak or maple where I live. They are super useful for rough carpentery, shelving and even for baseboards once sanded and cut to purpose, due to their strength. Think about it, those blocks are heavy and so the wood for their pallets is selected for strength and durability, more so than pallets used for most grocery items.
Hooray, hooray for the great wall of Lalacelle! Ash, it cannot be that cold if you are out in your skivvies! And where were your gloves? You’ll loose a finger if you’re not careful. 😀 I love the old handcart!!!
Congratulations on getting the wall up! I know your over the moon Terry. As I sit in bed as I’m going through a lot of oral surgery and am medicated, sorry if I’m rambling. Bed rest is dreadful! I look at all you’ve accomplished and am truly blown away! I’m so glad I found your channel. For the last year, I’ve fallen in love with building videos. Especially chateau renovations, my husband teases me, “ oh God she’s watching porn again “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m absolutely amazed at what people can do, that they’ve never done before! Blows my mind. My husband is a landscape designer and does installation. If you do or don’t know, my husband wanted to offer some advice that may help you. Trees should be planted 10-15ft apart ( unless that tree type has a guide on the card that’s different) if there a big tree, ornamental trees that stay smaller in height and width 6ft apart. If your doing garden beds, you can tier them with a build up of soil and retain each level with stone walls 2-3 rows high. Put a gradual slant down each tier, for proper drainage. There’s the gardeners rule of 3,5,7,9 etc.. when planting flowers. When doing any type of bed, stagger the flowers instead of straight rows. The first row is typically creepers, or plants that spill down. Tier 2 flowers, and bulbs so you’ll always have something in bloom. Tier 3 your larger plants or grasses, small decorative trees etc.. mixed in with more bulbs that bloom later than the others. You can add up lights, easy to move boulders, or other ornamentals you love. Mulch everything to keep moisture in and help with weeds. When starting any planting projects water every morning early for about 10-15 minutes. Don’t water anything but the ground. If you water in the evening, that water sits and can rot your gorgeous new garden. He’s dictating, sorry it’s so lengthy. Always throw in Osmocote (Amazon) or French version. Then once a year in spring, sprinkle around flowers. We hope that was helpful. PS- He also says if you need to trim bushes do in early spring right before their growing season. Wow the wall is looking incredible. You all are always so positive in your thinking and you always manage to just keep going with all of your hard work and get the jobs done. Your an amazing family! keep it up!
I spotted your cart, not sure where that came from but looks old! I believe that would have been pulled by a goat and children would drive it around. Now that would make an amazing for ride for Jonathan . He could have his own animal to take care of, get him a cute goat. That would be fun to watch.

The wall looks amazing and will be truly spectacular when all the old stones are covering up the concrete blocks! The little fountain is lovely and will be nice when it's all finished with stones. Lovely gifts for lovely people 🤗🇨🇦
So proud of you all over that wall. Proof that all things are possible. All you need do is put your issues out to the universe, and all will be answered.

I love that the chickens are more curious than afraid .
I love that too. I was yelling at the screen "chickens be careful or you become a chicken stew" LOL
Tony is a great worker. He is always there. Has he had a holiday since he moved over? Look after yourself.
💯 agreed!

It was actually emotional, seeing the wall come back. I also want to give you a little pat on the back for the fountain!
I love how the animals are always so interested when anyone is digging a hole 🐔🐶🕳️
loving the outside picture quality
It’s a blessing in disguise that the wall fell. It is so much more sturdier and safer and looks like the old wall.
I am so glad you are getting to start the wall rebuild.. it will look magnificent when it's finished . 😊❤

The videos are getting better and better! So enjoy them!
It makes me so happy to see, that the wall is up. What a great team, you are
For frozen shoulder I would watch Dr. Beau Hightower and how he releases the shoulder.
Another awesome video
You guys are awesome!! So good to see you all smiling again. Phenomenal how the work on the wall has progressed. Take care and rest your backs for a day Sending love to you all xx💖💖

The old wooden hand cart is beautiful.
Happy Mother’s Day Tracey! Your guys sure love and appreciate you. Great video and progress as always. Happy for all of you💕
So exciting to see the wall and I love that it is lower and you can see the chateau peeking above from ground level! So happy for you all.

Beautiful yellow flowers. Surprising that a cat hasn’t adopted your family.
The chickens and dogs involved in all the work just make me giggle. :).

It was wonderful watching your smiling faces today. I look forward to watching Ash’s arms starting to tan!
Great job on the wall and the fountain. Happy Mother’s Day 😍😘 Thanks for sharing
Using that paint tub as a reservoir for a solar fountain is genius. Very clever idea. My goodness, have you been lucky with the weather for the wall reconstruction bearing in mind it's March! Dry weather to lay foundations and let the concrete go off, dry terrain for the JCB to pick up the pallets from the field - I was imagining the churned-up mud slide that you would almost certainly have had to create with the digger getting in, picking up the pallets and the turning / reversing out of the field. And then glorious weather for laying the blockwork! They say the sun shines on the righteous 😉 - after the wall collapse you deserved a lucky break 🥰
I agree with the Epsom salts cure! They can also raise the spirits when your sad. Good for boys going through growth spurts too!
I am so happy to see your wall 🧱 coming along beautifully. Continued blessings upon 🙏 you all. If I was younger and my back was alot younger I would take your invitation to help. I will however become a paying guest as soon as you are ready. Hugs and love from Tucson, Arizona.
I remember when you were all camera shy,,now you all love it!
I'm still subscribed.... LOVE ALL YOUR HARD WORK ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you Monica :)
The chickens sure do enjoy pecking around in the newly turned earth.
I really enjoy your videos, not only for the content, but for the excellent videography. Who films and creates your videos? The photos, angles, music, transitions and composition are very professional and make for an interesting and not boring video. I can appreciate the work you do on the chateau, but also the work and time you take to create each and every video to share your experience. Always look forward to a new one.
💕Use all wooden pallets in the veggie garden to build raised beds or planters LINE the edges with weed control or plastic as makes them last longer💕
The wall looks amazing and will be truly spectacular when all the old stones are covering up the concrete blocks! The little fountain is lovely and will be nice when it's all finished with stones. Lovely gifts for lovely people 🤗🇨🇦
I also had frozen shoulder & after a few months of physical therapy, it's all good now!!! I feel your pain Tony!!!!
So proud of you all over that wall. Proof that all things are possible. All you need do is put your issues out to the universe, and all will be answered.
