Congratulations for all the work of the family !!!

You asked about the red drapery fabric. At times it looked like a heavy slubbed imitation raw silk or satin, or possibly a slubbed chenille, depending on how much nap it has. A chenille or velour would be napped and can still have the slubs woven in. Very heavy slubbed fabric was popular 40 or so years ago in the US and was very rich and durable.

Seeing the fabric for the curtains, I just realized that I had a very similar bold pattern curtains for my daughter’s bedroom. We had a Victorian house then and we just loved how they went with the furniture and wall color of the paneling. We had a Valence of solid color that matched with the background color of the curtains. With that said, I’m all in on your curtains. Bold patterns and colors were common in some of the homes of the upper classes in the 18th and 19th century. ❤️❤️❤️
