Comment any content you’d like for me to check out for future videos!!
good point about “pop culture distracting from real issues” i’ve always thought saying just that alone is kinda shallow
I believe you can keep up with both at the same time. Unless everyone has a one track mind. Politically and socially aware music has existed for all of time if you know where to look.
Really enjoyed your analysis on this topic.
ur channel is the belated post- movie discussion we needed in school 😭
❤❤ forever glad that I casually mentioned this song to you that one time!!
:’)💕💕
Emma, one thing i have to comment on is when you referenced the droppage of people talking about climate change. While this can reflect people's pessimistic thoughts on the world heating up, i think it more reflects everyone's knowledge on the subject. For instance, in 2000 it was a nuisance concept gaining traction, so more people talked about it, but today it is more accepted. So, if everyone has a understanding on the topic why would they need to talk more on the issue.
Hardly anyone has an understanding of the topic, including many of the scientists.
your channel is such a hidden gem, thank you for going out of your way to dig into the topics that you do ♥♥
@@snail5469 omg you’re so sweet thank you so so much :’) 💖
I love your light approach to this. Thank you for making this video. Keep making them!

(Feels like summer Video thumbnail) Immediate click! I loved that song, it felt like nobody was recognizing it when I was listening to it though ! Very immediate and specific capture of a present future. Every hot day, families on the sidewalk and brutal knowledge, and the aesthetic/animated visualizer style, and the actual sound of the song detached from meaning are really enjoyable too - it was def in my Spotify wrapped in high school! Voice of a generation
Terminator 2, playground nuclear apocalypse scene, traumatized the ish out of me as a kid
I dunno how I got here, but I dig your vibe. Good luck to you!
I like the video style, a lot! I wish there were direct links to material used or referred to in the description like a works cited, esp when specific other videos from this platform are mentioned. I miss annotations. Remember growing up with "reduce, reuse, recycle" and the Ozone Layer and air pollutions and the 2008 2001 vibe of the world to a child? Not related, just live reacting. I wish you could link the music video like RUclips links the climate change wikipedia. Great video essay, I completely have had experiences like this and thought so too, love the song for its direct upfront honesty and also matter of fact as unpnickrf as possible about such a serious thing. Your setup is so pretty btw!!! + 100 thumbs up
added the links in the description! thank you much for watching and for your comments:) I'm glad you got something out of the video!! Being a 2000s kid was so scary:')
Amazing produced video
gonna watch this later and have an existential crisis
After watching this video the point looks so obvious but I never related the issue of climate change to Feel Like Summer before...
nice sweater!
HAHA ty
i have zero clue why i watching this, i like it tho 👍
I don’t care about what you are talking about but your looks are striking. You look like a preraphaelite model.
I know I've watched too many video essays when I immediately thought this ( @13:45 ) would be a segue into Mark Fisher.
This one is good though, so I'll probably watch more.
