I have watched a lot of people making leather products but this guy is the best i have seen!
Thank you Robert, you are very kind! I have seen a lot of videos and I'm very impressed with the work of some of these other people, but I appreciate it!
That's the most beautiful object made of leather I have ever seen!!! Mr. Moehrle, you are a true artist. It was a privilege watching you work!!
Thank you. You are too kind!
The most beautiful belt I have ever seen. Truly a work of art.
I appreciate that. Thank you!
I’m about five months into leather working and I’ve probably watched hundreds of hours on RUclips of some great craftsmanship, but my friend you are by far the most talented I’ve seen yet. Please continue to share more of your work. Fantastic!!!
Thank you Greg, I really appreciate that but you are too kind! I've seen some great videos from other people that leave me in aw!
Where can I purchase an example of your work
This is a piece of ART , probably the best video on Leather Craft .
Thank you Gwynne, but you are much too kind. I appreciate that!
That is the most beautiful piece of leatherwork I have ever seen! Magnificent!
Thank you Nancy, I appreciate that!
If everyone took as much pride in their work as he does the world would be full of finer things.
HAHA, thank you Mitchell, I appreciate that. But I think there are many things in this world a lot finer than this belt. :)
The craftsmanship of this is unbelievable.
I appreciate that, thank you!
Road Agent Leather makes some very beautiful leather gun belts..However...you sir...you wrote the book..a true grand master of the craft
You are much too kind... thank you!
If I owned something as beautiful as this I would display it on my wall like a fine piece of art, which it is! It inspires me to get back in the shop.
Thank you Terry. You're very kind!
Dear Sir, this is not just a masterpiece, this is a composition.
High regard and respect for your talent.
Best regards from Australia from the German Cowboy Piet-Down-Under
that's not a belt, that is a piece of art. amazing work, outstanding artwork and craftsmanship, i really take my hat off. Thanks for teaching me at least, that there is somebody out there who can do such a job!
Thank you Andy, I appreciate that! You're very kind.
The talent in just your eyesight, let alone your fingers. Is so precise in the pressure that is placed while handling your tools. Like a violinist that plays each note and builds on the tone as well as the softness.
That tells the story so beautifull. Very awsomely done. A top notch craftsman.
Thank you for those kind words, I appreciate that!
A lot of great tips just by watching this. I liked seeing the drill press used to check for a perfect vertical for tapping the threaded holes in the bullets.
Thank you Benjamin!
This is my favorite tutorial. Using that Tape roll around the Dye, and then leaning the Dye on the Tape roll is worth the time watching. Thank you.
Thank you Abby, you're too kind!
Your work is fantastic! I completely understand the satisfaction of the amount of detail working so much by hand. That belt is amazing!
Thank you Jason!
Nothing like watching Wolf work his craft on Christmas. I’ve watched this video so many times, and every time I see or find something new. Wonderful work and craftsmanship Wolf. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you David, and I wish the same for you as well!
Remarkable, astounding, outstanding, craftsmanship, work of Art , labor of love, Beautiful, for all time,
I really appreciate that Michael. You're too kind! Thank you.
I was mesmerized!! Like I couldn't turn away. I mean you even MADE THE BULLETS...and ingeniously attached/screwed them to the belt!!!
BLOWN AWAY!!! Well done Sir!!!
Thank you, I appreciate that. You are very kind!
A truly remarkable work of art. I could not stop watching.
I appreciate that Rodney, thank you!
When one fake round on the belt costs more than box of the real ones ...
Beautiful piece - I love these craftsmanship videos, those with leather being usually the best ones.
Thank you Mango, I appreciate that!
I have done some things myself. Belts, holsters, knife sheaths, book covers. This work of yours has shown me what is still possible. You have created an absolutely fantastic work. Handicraft
at it's best! Master Class!
Thank you Robert! You are too kind.
This should have MILLIONS OF LIKES!!!! I have no words for how incredible this piece of art is 😵
Thank you Mitchell, you're too kind!
The amount of skill involved here is impressive to say the least
Thank you.
While researching how mexican revolution bandolier's look I came across your video. Wow, it inspired me to make a variation of the mexican revolution bandolier. Your design, craftsmanship and attention to details is truly Mastercraft. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate that. Thank you!
I found myself mesmerized and just emersed in the craftsmanship. Absolutely beautiful work.
Thank you Eric!
Absolutely beautiful. My hat is off to you sir, I can't stand doing that much carving and you made it look like a breeze!
Thank you Jimmy, that's very kind of you!
Wow! I was mesmerized watching this. It is amazing to think that is is done by hand and there is no chance for error! Masterpiece.
Thank you Brian!
Amazing work! A belt that truly deserves to be used!!
Thank you!
Woww the best of the best. God bless your talent and dedication. It is a great example for all leather craftsmen. Your designed a super beautiful belt. 👐🙏🏽👍🏽
Thank you Jorge, I really appreciate that!
This is true American craftsmanship wish we could go back in the good old days in this country When more people where helping each other and trashing those politicians for what they really are instead of trying to divide the true American spirit you are one of the last of a dying breed of what made this country great
Thank you David! I also wish we could return to a time when people knew what was important and stood up for the right things.
Since 🇪🇦 I have no words. It is much more than an excellent job. I do and have made belts, I honor him, brilliant.
One of the best hand made things I ever saw.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
That is the most beautiful belt I have ever seen in my life. Great video and beautiful work
Thank you Dan, I appreciate that!
What in the heck this is the best leather working skill I have seen yet. I'd absolutely love to have one just like the one in the thumbnail pic but fitted for a 1911 model
I was captivated the entire time. Every detail thought out and done with excellence! Truly an inspiration! I hope you put out more content like this! What craftsmanship, a joy to watch!!!
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
Love your invented machine. You do excellent work on every thing. Thanks.
Thank you Dyana, I appreciate that!
I purchased a finished holster for my 22 pistol and now I truly appreciate it! Great work.
Thank you!

Fascinating work! Thank you for sharing this. I have never seen lathing/milling done like that with a drill press before. You also have the most comprehensive set of drills bits I have ever seen.
Thanks Fast Eddie, I appreciate that! I got those drill bits when I was making guitars. Sometimes drill bit sizes are critical.
This is truly one of the most well put together videos I have ever seen. The belt is magnificent and the design of not only the belt but also the bullets and even some of the tools….. masterful.
That's very kind. Thank you!
Give this guy the Nobel Peace Prize - Lol ... His work is peaceful, his workshop looks peaceful, his music is peaceful, his life seems pretty peaceful ,,, great video !
Thank you Jesse, I really appreciate that! My life is far from ideal :)
Absolutely stunning Wolf. You need a pic of yourself wearing this. This will be the envy of every cowboy. Cheers
Thanks Brian, I appreciate it! I was going to put a short video clip of me wearing the belt at the end, but it was to involve some other people and it didn't work out. I've thought of wearing the belt out just for fun but then I wondered if I might get shot by police. People are so on edge these days about anything related to guns. :)
As a leathercrafter myself all i can say is DAMN!!!!! i hope to be this good one day. I have always been told i am good at what i do but just watching Wolf Moehrle work is truly humbling. A true craftsman at work. while typing this comment i went on ahead and subscribed.
I appreciate this Noe. You are much too kind!
A fantastic job!! I was taught to never dye before carving and tooling bc the grain won’t pick up the impressions nicely. Your belt seemed to take the impression very well, so that was a pleasant surprise. I appreciate you sharing your work, I got to learn a thing or two for sure. I’ll definitely watch more of your videos.
I appreciate the compliment, thank you. It's true that the leather doesn't stamp as well if you put the dye on first, but I'm using the alcohol based dye, which is a little harder to work with than the oil based. I find it's hard to get good results if I put it on after, but one way to get around that would be to use an airbrush. I've seen people using airbrush to put on the dye and the results are very nice.
Just wow, what a work of art.
Thank you!
:You Sir are the defination of the word "Craftsman" . Outstanding
Thank you Barry, that's very kind!
I am learning leather craft and I can tell you I could never make anything as beautiful like that.
I appreciate that Andrew, but don't sell yourself short. When I started out about 40 years ago I couldn't do it either. It's not as hard as it looks, it just takes a little practice. And there are many videos featuring work that just blows me away!
@@wm17959 OK
You should make a gun holster and knife schieth.
@@andrewhorn162 Hi Andrew. Maybe when I'm retired I'll have more time
I was a supporter of cowboys when I was little, and when I got a little older I became a supporter of the Indians. Now I think I can be a cowboy again for this belt :) Thanks for this beautiful video, you are a great master.
Well, I wouldn't go as far as 'great master', but thank you!
Sir, you have some serious skills to go with the genius level engineering. I absolutely love the way you made the keeper too. Thank you for sharing your work with us. I’m nowhere near your level of abilities, but it’s inspiring for me to see what master craftsmen create. Gorgeous work without commentary. Personally, I can’t talk about what I’m doing while I’m doing my leatherwork, so I would have to film in a similar manner. Too many concussions. Lol. The music choices & everything was superb. Thanks again & God bless.
Thank you so much George, I really appreciate that!
Quality, talent and tradition of leather craftsman. Beautifull work.
Thank you Jose, I appreciate it!
wow! i've not seen craftsmanship like that too often. incredible! very well done. what a beautiful piece.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Masterful work. I know we could all learn so much from just a conversation with someone of your caliber.
I appreciate the compliment, but I watch some videos of other leather workers and I am in awe of their talent. Thank youI
Wow! To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Thank you for sharing.
That's very kind of you. Thank you!
Excellent workmanship and talent. Along with the educational treasures is the true pleasure of watching a master artist and craftsman at work! =D
Thank you!
You do GREAT Work, I'm glad to see someone with your skills using a CLSP Machine, again Beautiful Work.
I appreciate that, thank you!
You true craftsman seem to have supernatural patience......awesome machining skills....a master maker. Thank you😎
Thank you Patrick. You're much too kind!
A friend of my mom was Helen Corwin in Blythe, CA. Helen made mostly saddles for the working cowboys in the area. She also made show saddles, boots, moccasins, belts, holsters, etc. Her LOGO was “CORWIN MAKER”. She was even on a What’s My Line? segment in the 1950s.
It would be great to know someone like that! There aren't a lot of young people now interested in making things by hand and I think that's sad. We're living in challenging times!
Love your work and the music is perfect, Beautiful man.
Thank you Thomas!
Davvero un capolavoro di maestria. Bravissimo, Complimenti
Lo apprezzo, grazie!
mother of god that is beautiful craftsmanship
I appreciate that Sean, thank you!
Beautifully done and the music outstanding . The whole video from start to finish gets an A+ from this old fart. Stay safe and Happy trails.
I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one to work on the floor lol. Awsome work thanks for sharing 👍.
Time to watch Wolf again; it’s been too long. Love this video!
HAHA. You're too kind!
@@wm17959 Wolf, I was the one who contacted you about buying a belt but you were so busy that I didn’t pursue it. Are you getting caught up with things? If so, I can send you my email and we can discuss perhaps purchasing a belt from you. Thank you!
@@davidstepeck2644 Hello David. My email is wm17959(a)hotmail.com
Who in the hell downvoted this? This guy is a master!
HAHA! Thank you! Maybe some people don't like bullets!
@@wm17959 to hell with those guys. Beautiful work. Hopefully one day I will be there.
Just a work of art. I wish I had the skills this gentleman has.
Thank you Scott, I appreciate that!
I looked through 396 comments before I found out what I wanted to know how many hours it took. There were only two left. That is definitely a show piece and the editing to make the video was outstanding. (40 hours) I knew it was on up there.
Thank you!
Wow I am lost for words. Beautiful beautiful beautiful
I appreciate that Dee, thank you!
Шикарная работа. Какой кропотливый труд вложен в это изделие. Красота👍👍👍👍👍
Спасибо. Я правда ценю это.
Uh! wow all I can say the absolute dedication the concentration is incredible. So much there to take in.. Every step is essential... Am so overwhelmingly impressed. Thank you !!!
Thank you Ralph, you're too kind!
It just dawned on me that this was made for a pants belt and not actually a holster belt. That makes the work even more intricate on a narrower belt. Again, beautiful work.
Thanks again Kerry. One downside of this belt is that you have to put it in the pants before you put them on, and feeding the bullets thought the loops takes a bit of doing.
@@wm17959 Still beautiful!!
You sir , are a true Artist!!!! Your work is Amazing!! I’ve never seen such love and care go into a project!!! Bravo!!! 👏🏻
Thank you Mo, you are very kind!
You made the buckle so much more elegant and beautiful.. I thought it was kinda clunky when you opened the package. Very well done!
Thank you Al, I appreciate that! And sorry for the late reply.
Wonderful and beautiful work.
Little tip from a gunsmith, chalk your files before using, helps prevent them from getting clogged @20:46 and makes it easier to card them for cleaning when finished. The chalk fills in the deep part of the valleys making it so metal doesn’t get wedged in there, thus easier to clean out with a wire brush. Simple blackboard chalk works perfectly, though Brownells seems 1” sticks. But the sidewalk chalk works perfect too.
Keep safe and keep up the amazing work, would love some stuff made one of these days,
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Just another thing: When you buy a new punch, its conical surface and edge are rough so it sticks to the leather. Recommendation: the edge of the punch and its conical part should be polished before use and as a result it will come out of the skin much more easily. Therefore, I sanded the conical parts and edges of all my punches with a rapidly rotating felt disc with a polishing paste wax on the surface. Since then, the punch has almost been pushed out of the leather goods. I am a saddler and harness maker-teacher in Europe. I learned a lot from your video. Thank you for that.
Thank you again for that. I'm sure I could learn a lot from you!
Craftsmanship at it’s finest!! Not too many “special tools” and a patent pending to boot... 🏆🥇
Thank you!
If Sam Elliot had the his choice of Ammo Belt then he would choose a masterpiece like this, an absolute true master of his craft and the attention to detail is sublime………..outstanding sir.
Thank you Mr. Finlay, I appreciate that. You are much too kind!
This video illustrates the sheer grit, endless patience, relentless passion and fine-tuned skill required to create a unique masterpiece. Your acute concentration and intricate craftsmanship have my respect. You are an artist more than an artisan, wm17959, and your work is truly a labour of love. It is pure sepia-tinted nostalgia of the wild western bygone era. May your tribe live long and flourish! I only wish I could afford one (if you tell me the cost).
Thank you Anglo for those very kind words. I appreciate that! I'm not actually in the belt making business, I made the video to show others how to make one, but I would guess that a belt like this would retail for around $800CAD.
I was going to guess around $1,000.00, or even more. Tremendous craftsmanship.
Well if you added a knife shieth and a gun holster it could be 1,000 dollars.
Wow! What a beautiful belt and great craftsmanship i need to buy one!
Thanks Austin. I appreciate that!
awesome video, highest craftmanship, wish we also in Germany had so skilled makers of belts here....
Thank you Matthias! I'm sure there are people in Germany who do this.
twice I tried to expand my full-screen to get closer to the action. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year.
HAHA, thank you for the compliment. I appreciate that!
That is a mighty fine looking belt there. Whoever gets that belt should be mighty proud to have it. Great job on the assembly!
Thank you Brian, much appreciated!
my neighbours would truly love me if i made a hole punch machine like yours. i have to time my hole punching to when they are out at the moment.
HAHA. I know what you're saying. You could look around at yard sales for a small drill press and use that for hole punching. Just an idea.
Unbelievable craftsmanship! I could never sell these works of art if I made them!
Thank you David! I don't actually get much pleasure from keeping these items. I just enjoy making things and showing others how I did it.
@@wm17959 Thank you for responding! I’ve watched your video several times. Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship! I also liked how you broke out the video with the “western movie” clips. I tried to find your website to see if you sold a belt like this. I know it would be expensive, but would you consider making a belt for a customer (me)? I would obviously give you a substantial deposit or whatever you required. I wouldn’t need the fake rounds however, as I would put real rounds in the belt.
@@davidstepeck2644 Hello David. Thank you so much for your kind words! I must say I'm very tempted to make you a belt, but I don't think I have the time right now. I'm actually not in the leather business, it's just a hobby I have. And I have no idea what such a belt would even be worth.
@@wm17959 This is so strange as I was just thinking today that I should check to see if you ever replied, then a few hours later, you reply. I hope you are tempted to make me one as I’ve never seen anything so beautiful in my life, besides my wife. My email is david.stepeck@att.net, perhaps you could email me and we could discuss the possibility of you making me a belt and compensation? As I stated above, I wouldn’t need the replica ammunition rounds, so that would save you some time. Please email me so we can at least have a conversation; I’d be honored to converse with the man that made this beautiful belt.
You are a true craftsman and artist! Thank you for sharing your work. I greatly enjoyed it.
