Excellent work. I love how you check and re-check your mark before proceeding to the next step. Everything in excellence and in order. The mark of a true craftsman. TY for sharing your knowledge and craft.
Outstanding rig from an outstanding western..my favorite parts of your holster builds besides the entire vid is when you line up the slugs and install the hardware!...great work sir...👍💥🇺🇲💥
Nice, I like the trick with stitching the loops by zig zagging a single continuous line. I’ve done smaller quantities one at a time, and the thought of doing that 30+ times for a larger piece sounds miserable. Great piece, nice work.
A bit wax on the outside of the puncher helps to go easier out of the leather! Ein a wax-block for put the stitching holes whit the awl ! Works REALLY WELL
People will argue all day long about this. Both were slang for the time, why he said one or the other, etc.. In the movie he says berry. Berry sounds cooler.
I’m curious about the cutter set you used for the corners of the gun belt? Where did you find the set of corner shapes....haven’t run across those yet, but would be interested acquiring some.
I'd say the best way is to find a specific leather item you want to make and go about collecting all the materials you need to make just that. For me it was a holster for a Starr revolver... something no one else sold.
@@RoadAgentLeather it just looks different from mu barry king. I'm good on straight lines and English points. Not so much on round turns. You make it look easy! Keep up the great work!
It isn't just a job. It's an artwork. Absolutely beautiful. But one question: Why don't you work with a half-moon knife? IMHO it's more convenient but everyone how he prefer;-)
I had round (head) knife. Could never get used to it so I ended up selling it. Pushing the knife through the leather and the overall greater distance of my hand from the cutting action just felt strange to me.
Hello, I am inquiring if you make/sell a Johnny Ringo holster? I am looking for a gift for my father and I know he likes that style. I am located in Indiana
Hand stamping, hand stitching, hand finishing at its finest. Great video!
Most people have no idea how complex it is to make such a holster. Commendable work. Greetings from Austria.👍
Your focus and patience is astounding
Beginning leather craftsman here: I'm learning many techniques just watching your vids. Thank You so much.

Damn man....
Never knew I could make slick leather with the Doc Holiday type shakes

Those are the domed rivets from Tandy. Love those things. Little more expensive, but SO much easier to use than traditional nickel spots.
Absolutely beautiful. I’ve been waiting for almost a year for my Schofield to be made. This is my vision for the holster and gun belt for it.
Work of skilled hands. The pros always make it so easy and effortless to achieve perfection. Great work and a nice belt and holster....

That is a very nice holster 🤠👍
Wow! That was glorious!
Do you make holsters for 22L heritage rough rider revolver 6 inch barrel?
the quote is "Huckle bearer" but the video is very cool. :-) It mean's he's willing to carry your casket after the gunfight.
Great looking rig, my friend!
People will argue all day long about this. Both were slang for the time, why he said one or the other, etc.. In the movie he says berry. Berry sounds cooler.
AWESOME!!! Well done!!!
This style of border stamping would be Perfect or the Shoulder Holster We're doing!
I made one of those and i almost had to give it away. There is quite a bit to making one.
Great video, thanks again!!

Wow! best i've seen
Wow! you do amazing work, where can I order a holster and gun belt from you and see more of your work.
I'll be your huckleberry, your not a daisy at all
Saludos muy buen trabajo👍👍👍
Curious why you used white thread. Was it part of the order?
That's what the pattern calls out for.
What kind of thread do you use? It looks like unwaxed machine thread.
In this case you're exactly right. It's #277 bonded nylon in natural color
@@RoadAgentLeather Thanks. I like the way it looks. Maybe I will try it. I still use tiger thread.
Where do you order that 19th Century loctite? 😀
I wonder what thread is being used?
Art
I’m sure you get this question all the time but how would you suggest for someone to get into leather crafting like this?
I'd say the best way is to find a specific leather item you want to make and go about collecting all the materials you need to make just that. For me it was a holster for a Starr revolver... something no one else sold.
Thank you so much for responding. You work is amazing!
What does the spots called? Do them sell them at tandys ore where do you buy them? I loves the film and the holster you did
Hi. They're domed rivets from Tandy. I find them much easier to use than tradition two-pronged spots.
Very nice
Perfect.
Where can I get the specs to make that myself
what oz leather do you use?
9-10 oz veg-tan. Thanks for watching!
❤

in love with your love
..weird..
Looks good other than the stiching on the bullet holders is to wide
What did you use as a top coat?
Fiebings Aussie. Not really a top coat, but it does condition the leather and add a bit of water-resistance.
How much to have you make me one of these style holster?
shoot me an email. It's on the "about" tab on my channel's homepage
Type of thread?
T270 #277 bonded nylon
seems westerns mostly ended 1965 and below.

Hi. It's bonded nylon T270 #277. It looks white, but it's actually tan.

How much for a completed Johnny Ringo holster and belt rig?

Not being lined will wear the finish off of the Pistol ...!
Lined or not, holster use will eventually wear on a pistol. The old axiom is if you don't want wear on your gun, keep it in your safe.
@@RoadAgentLeather Mine is lined and does not wear the finish off..!
@@Wildkat-1
Yet.
That holster is VERY PURDY
Beautiful but no good at all for fast draw.
Please let me write you some background music instead of this monotonous drivel! The video was amazing but that music....
Yep, had to turn down the sound because of it over and over, mind numbing, shame because it spoils an excellent video of a master craftsman at work.
Awesome work. What thread did you use?
Thanks for subscribing! For this rig I was using #277 bonded nylon.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️🇮🇹💯
What cutting knife is that please?
