Love what she’s been doing. However, Agree with those damn Command Strips! overpriced! Unless it’s an absolute must have? Latch and hooks are my go to’s for everything. (frames have them) too
Yes, beautiful! Also, you can really add pizazz by diamond tucking it. This is such an easy inexpensive way to do a nice headboard! Thanks for sharing!
@@Kelly-nd3cz when you place a button or pin or thread to dent the cloth in a diamond pattern. Makes it look like a fancier pillow you've seen it on furniture before. You can do lots of patterns not just diamond
Always depends on what kind of strips you use though .. we've hung a print in the hallway 3 years ago using 8 little strips (selfcut), 2 per corner, and it never got loose. Had some shitty strips before (the thing weighs 0.5 kg~, strips supposedly support up to 30), it fell twice within a month lol
@@sylthrina165 Lol Ya your right! I hung a the same kind of backboard as the video same strips and one side kept falling. I had enough and put a tiny nail in the wall 🤦🏻♀️😂 what kind of strips did you use?
@jazz hands the scotch brand is better than command, go get the ones with the red paper on them from dollar general. About $1.85 a pack and comes with 4
You gotta be careful with those strips. I put a pic on the wall with them and went to take it down the way your supposed to. It ripped the paint and paper off the wall. Now there’s a patch I have to fix.
Wow that’s awesome. Thanks for making the video. I was searching high and low trying to find a solution from buying but all the tutorials were so complicated and budget wise was pretty similar to store bought ones. I think I will give this one a shot.
Brilliant! You could get fancy and button tuft I suppose but I like it like this. I hope you have more renter-friendly projects such as this. Subscribed! ✅
Nice but should have put some buttons covered with the same fabric through the foam and foam board to create a more decorative headboard. Just my thoughts.
J hooks can be worse cause they pull the paint off the wall just like these strips but the difference with the j hook they can rip down to the sheet rock seen it happen many many times doing home remodeling
@@alejandrabarr With an adjustable bed, you cannot attach a headboard to the bed at all. If you put a headboard on the wall, you have to leave space between it and the bed (like she did) in order for the head of the bed to be able to freely go up & down without hitting or getting caught up on the headboard. The fact that she hung it that high is what clued me in on the fact that she probably has an adjustable bed.
You know what’s also renter friendly? Having a normal headboard and then just buying some stucco for when you move out because more often than not the landlords are going to repaint anyway.
She may have an adjustable bed like me. You cannot have a normal headboard with adjustable beds. You cannot attach a headboard to the head of the bed at all. And if you put a headboard on the wall, you have to leave space between it and the bed (like she did) in order for the head of the bed to be able to freely go up & down without hitting or getting caught up on the headboard. I saw that people commented earlier on that the headboard was hung too high above the bed. The fact that she hung it that high is what called me in on the fact that she probably has an adjustable bed.
Thats awesome! I always thought about doing it and now i know it will work. Where and what brand was the foam roll? Did u make for a queenbed and if so what were your measurements?
Just Google foam roll. Also, Google measurements for queen size. Or Google, how to make your own headboard using foam. I’m sorry but these kinds of questions are ridiculous. Look it up.
Ya but somebody hits that headboard hard it's going to break because of fabric and that that's so flexible I doubt if it's going to stay very long although it is pretty. Maybe if you would get strips of wood maybe the thickness of paint sticks and put them in the middle of the headboard where there isn't any fabric and try those 3M strips
Cute budget friendly project. For the renters concerned about nail holes.., fill them in wth putty when leaving. Landlords must clean/ do paint touch up before a tenant comes in. Command strips, brand name or others are crap!
Some landlords are more lenient with what you’re able to do. Some will let you paint, change light fixtures, hang curtains, make holes on the wall, things like that. The only real way to ever own a home is buying it outright without a mortgage otherwise you never really “own” one, the bank does.
I think some people just don’t read the lease or talk to the landlord. Mine let me paint everything whatever colors, hang curtains, pictures, etc. I did have to move so lost the work but fuck it. If I’d have bought there I would b fucked now the area went to shit

Is it just me but the fact that the headboard isn’t touching the Mattress just bugs me soo much
Agree✅
Nah, doesn't bother me. I assume her bed might move and can sit up which wouldn't work if the headboard is touching.
Wow Good ❤❤❤
Maybe she left a small gap for the thickness of a head pillow to not put too much wear and tear on it. 🤔

She invested a lot of money on those Command strips .

Ugly color, great idea. But you can use a couple nails in a rental wall. Command strips are hella expensive... and often pull off the paint...
I love all the tips from everyone. Big THANKS

Especially if there is motion against the item like there would be with a head board. Any lateral motion risks lifting paint.
Command strips are only like a dollar a package...? 😂

FYI command strips are NOT RENTER FRIENDLY. Use “j” hooks for hanging anything.
