The moment the scene with the cars honking in New York City at night, the NBA players playing basketball, and the music playing in the background gets me every time. So awesome.
COVID 19 wasn't mysterious I guess. The season was shut down for many months because of COVID-19 though. It's only fitting that voice of Homer Simpson would get the Nerdlucks attention by saying "Barkley is killing us."
When I recently rewatched this movie as an adult, the part where she says “this guy sitting next to me is doing something very weird in his raincoat” had howling with laughter due to the blatant adult reference joke in that scene.
The way the Nerdlucks overhear Dan Castellaneta say "Barkley's killing us!" and assume one of the basketball players is literally killing someone reminds me of the Rugrats and their similar gullible misunderstandings.
Did they actually shoot a real NBA game between the Knicks and the Suns? I know they got real NBA players (for the time) but I like to know if this was part of a real NBA game around 1995 or did they shot it in a studio?

I started watching basketball in 93 when I learned who the Knicks and Patrick Ewing were I was instantly a fan. I loved the logo and jerseys everything about the knicks was awesome. I even use to draw and make arts and craft replications of logo in 2nd grade haha
3:21 This movie has genuinely intelligent comedy, that part made me burst out laughing, the fact that Larry Johnson has lost his talent for shooting, which even made him miss drinking water is hilarious, a movie that far surpasses the new movie in terms of genius.
Mugsy lost his talent and he became a pigeon...the thing I love the most is when Shaq roast Barkley on this scene but then I love when Barkley talks back and talks about kazaam
I've watched this movie many times before and I always knew the Nerdlucks' plan: since they're so small and at a disadvantage against the Looney Tunes who are bigger than them, they plan to stole the talent along with coordination and concentration from some of the best players of the NBA such as Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson, and Shawn Bradley to get matched up. When that happened, it cause chaos and suspension among the entire NBA organization.
That voice was a dead giveaway to me. Dan Castellaneta voices a bunch of incidental/background characters on "The Simpsons" as well, in addition to his main characters, and he's used his real voice or a similar variation for some of them. (Even today, Dan Castellaneta still voices roughly half of the incidental/background males, while Hank Azaria voices the other half, and this doesn't count the African-American characters Kevin Michael Richardson voices!)
Closes the coat up and jumps in the basketball and suck out of the ball and go in the body to steal and come out and suck back in the basketball and say (I got it, I got it’s talent!
I laughed when one of the NBA players threw the ball so high, that it hit a waiter and he fell with a bunch of pop-corn and drinks showering on everybody, and then the scene switches to the New's guy who starts to say: "In a shocking development..." which I mistaken for him saying, "In shocking the bell...". Some moments in Space Jam really make me laugh🤣😂
3:40 Now we take you live to the Forum in Los Angeles where the Lakers are refusing to take the court. 3:47 Guys, we gotta get dressed. We got a game in 5 minutes. I mean, we’re talking about a huge fine here. 3:53 No way, Coach, we can’t go in the locker room. 3:55 You know what happened to Barkley and Ewing. The fact that Barkley stayed in for another possession confused me at 9 and it still does now. Like you literally watched him stand there all confused and out of sorts and didn't immediately call a timeout? Suns deserved to lose that NBA finals and WCF with that coach.
What I always loved about this movie is how every player on the teams were the actual players that are on those teams whereas in most sports movies and commercials they'll have the actual star player of the team and every other players on the teams be just background actors playing the role of an athlete.lol
