When I installed this, all I could find is the standalone version, where does it install the VST version to? I have some interesting ideas of things I want to try with this.

Can’t you find the VCV bridge in your plugin folder?

VCV Rack does not run as a DAW plugin.
      See vcvrack.com/manual/FAQ#is-vcv-rack-available-as-a-vst-au-aax-plugin-for-daws

Don't waste your time with the free download. Of course you have to create an account with Cherry Audio to download, that is a given. Once you download and install it places the VST3 version in an odd location (in Windows C:\Program Files\Common Files) without asking where you want it installed. Once installed I moved the plugin to the folder with other VTS3's on my system, where my DAW is set to scan for them. I then tried to open the plugin version in my DAW for the first time, you have to login to open the plugin (you remember your password for the Cherry Audio site, right?). At that point it failed to open with an error message. I deleted the plugin and again opened it, successfully this time. I then tried to add several modules to the "rack". In each case I get the error message: "This module requires a newer version of Voltage". Really? Even for free it is just not worth the hassle to try to figure out what is going on. DELETE!
