know any good tutorials for using plug-ings & DAWs? I've never don't use any. I use hardware gear almost exclusively. I do use some software synths, but only through a little program, "SAVIHost". (it's just a simple softsynth host, no sequencer or recorder) www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm

I want D1 A1 D2 E2 A2 E3 tuning but the lowest it goes is to E1 om my ample guitar. Can u tell me how can i achieve more exttended range
You can try to tune the lowest E string a but lower, it can be done 2 semitones as far as I know.

one question, this free plugin has worse quality than the pay ones, right? I program simple drum patterns but they don't sound as realistic as the other ample guitars
Yes you are right, this free version is nothing like the other Ample guitars, but it is the best free acoustic guitar I have ever seen.

when i open the vst i stumble apon a red writting saying that its and error and i need to check settings to find get some kinda pathway.. i dont know what to do. can you help? that would be appreciated..
The pathway is probably the folder on your computer where the Vst installed the sounds. Check the installer by installing it again and see If it suggests any folder. Write that folder down.
If you haven't figured this out, figure out what folder this VST is in. Preferably in like \Reaper\VstPlugins or something like that. In reaper, press Ctrl+P to bring up the preferences menu (also under options -> preferences). Scroll down to the "VST" menu. Add the file directory where the VST is located to the "VST plugins path" box right at the top of the menu (if it's in one of those directories, like \Reaper\VstPlugins, you don't need to add it). Then hit the button "Re-scan". This should add the VST to Reaper where you can access it like any other ones from the FX menu.

HELP! The strumming feature is not working at all for me. I switched it on and clicked the right notes, but it only plays the first note of the sequence and stops. I even used the play button and it does the same. How can I fix this? I think my plugin is corrupted.
Sir, I have a doubt about this plugin. Why we are not able to play all frets of E A D G B strings. Only E string is able to play all the notes on fretboard. Any solution or any other plugin which can play all the notes on fretboard

My problem is with creating a song on Cubase LE 4 using the strumming part,
I drag C Maj to the track on Cubase then change to another chord e.g Amin i drag to host after the Cmaj chord the previous part(Cmaj) has changed to the Current Amin chord im NOT using a keyboard controller, im using the vst interface only .....can anyone help...? what am i doing wrong ?is it a Cubase LE4 Issue , or is it a Limitation with Ample Guitar please help ????
It might remember the last chord. Abd be sure the noted of the different chords do not overlap.
@@HRSCourses it's when I drag to host, I insert 2 bars with Cmajor, then I change chord to (Amin) and attempt to paste it in front of the previous bars (Cmaj) now all chords are Amin.... In cubase
Can you change the length of the notes to make them a bit shorter. I think the lowest A note overlaps the C chord, which makes it a Am. Try to open this is the pianoroll editor to see what happens there.
And the guitar, in what mode is it set.

Do you know how can I use the strummer patterns in FL Studio 20 (Mac)? I select a chord and a pattern, use the "Drag to Host" and put it into the Piano Roll, it works for the first bar. When I change the chord and "Drag to Host" again, it will replace the original 1st bar, i.e. I cannot add more pattern nor change the chord.
Any idea?

On 4:50, how do you switch from one chord to another? I've dragged the chord to the host but still didn't know how to switch to different chords. Btw, your guide is amazing!
Love it ! I just have one question : when I drag a measure (C maj for ex) on my host, it's good. But when I drag a second measure (F minor for ex.), on the host, the first measure automatically becomes... an F minor too ... I can't find my mistake. If you have a solution..
It's a tricky one, this is midi, and it's all about control notes. In strumming mode, there needs to be a control note to set the chord (left-half of a keyboard), along with the notes to do the actual strumming (right-half of keyboard). The "Drag to Host" option fails to include the control note to set the chord, it just has the strumming notes. As a result, it just plays whatever chord the plugin was last set to.
To fix it, you have to add the control note in. For example, with 2 bars, add a G2 note in one of them at the start, and a A2 note in the next one. When playing it, it will now change the chord. Make sure you quantize the control note to make it start exactly at the start of the bar, otherwise the chord change will be slightly delayed.

No that is not possible, but you can use a MIDI guitar.
When I opened this in my fl studio and I pasted some chords in piano roll

Did you use the strum option? You have to turn it on.

Yes it uses a different combination of keys. Check the video again. There it is explained.
I'm having the same issues with Cubase LE 4, when i export Cmaj to the track using the "Drag to host" button, it plays CMaj, then i insert chord Amin, all the previous inserted chords play A min aswell REALLY Frustrating

Sorry, I don't think that is possible, it has one fixed size.

Yes it will provided they are notes that fall within the register of the guitar. What happens to notes outside that I wouldn't know, but notice that some notes (C0 to C1) are modifiers so may cause unexpected results if they are in your midi file.

Hi, I have a question related to your VSTs. Let me start off by saying that the sound of your VSTs are amaizing, really the best I have come across. However, I have some trouble with the Ample Guitar 2 Lite. When for instance tapping a note on the midi-keyboard, the tone of the note stay consistent but the character of the sound changes. It tends to both soften and increase in velocity in an arbitrary way. However, it sounds intended and really adds to the realistic flavor of the overall sound, but is there a possibility of changing the sound to be more consistent? Is there some way to dive into the settings to make the sound equal for every time I press a note/chord etc? Thanks in advance.
Hi Tore. I don’t think that is possible. You might ask this question to the makers of the plugin. In this case that’s Ample.

Great video... How do I get the 'tab' to play outside the 'play' button on the instrument and on my daw ( logic) .... I seem to only be able to play tabs from the instrument and not from the daw? Also how can I move the 'tab' to the daw as midi, so I can edit what is being played ? Thanks

@@HRSCourses it's a direct software replica of the DX-7, note that the patch banks there can all be programmed with any 6 Operator hardware synth.

I've no admin rights and I've set up manually either AGML2 or ABPL2.
And in the plugin the path is not store in the file but I've changed values so it reads from it.

Yes there is a problem with the Amplesound download page. You have to try several times to get the download working.

a free plugin should be readily accessible to everyone and not this complicated to use. ridic.
I would rethink that if I was you. It is the best free guitar plugin and really worth the efforts. You do have to learn to play it, it’s a great guitar once you’ve mastered it.

You might have to change that on your keyboard, it can not be done in the software
It can be done in the VST. At the top of the sequencer window you can see the sequence number (ex: SEQ#6). Hover the cursor over the note you want to change the velocity to. and you'll also see step NR, Note name and Velocity value. Then, by holding the left mouse button over the note, move the cursor down or up in order to decrease or increase the velocity. You'll se the number to the right of "Vel:" change.

I have a problem that i found a fix for but i can't remember the fix nor where i found it hahaha
The problem is this,, as i work on my cord bank and listen to the strum, if i use bar cords further down the neck, it automatically mutes everything above the 5th fret i think, but its supposed to be strumming. when i move the cords back into open position its fine, but i can't remember how to fix this problem LOL
