    I'm very impressed by this suv. The exterior and interior are really nicely done. Hyunday is setting a new standard in the car industry which is good for the consumer. Keep up the good job Hyundai.

    Koreans generally prefer solid, substantial feel of German and American cars over light feel of Japanese cars. Hyundai/Kia is making cars targeting at the driving dynamics of German, the reliability of Toyota and the roominess and convenience of American cars. They are not quite there yet. But they are getting quite good at making cars.

    • @fadeaway3716
      @fadeaway3716 8 лет назад

      Agreed. They're improving at such an astonishing rate. I wouldn't at all have chosen a Kia 15 years ago but now I drive a Kia Carens. :) If there's anyone who can combine all 3 of the features you mentioned it's definitely the Koreans.

      +Fade Away In reality it's not that Hyundai and Kia have caught up., but the consumer is catching up. In 2009 after 5 years of ownership a 2004 Elantra was voted most reliable car. That was 12 years ago. My brother owned one and it was faster, more luxurious , and as I stated more reliable than my friend's Corolla.

    I really like the Tuscon. My friend has a 2014 Base model and she already has 70,000 miles on it. She's had 0 issues and the 2.0L still sounds brand new when it starts up and still averages 30+ mpg on her commute. But as far as driving dynamics, the Tiguan is still worlds better than anything including the Escape and CX5. They may come close but the Tiguan still has better dynamics. I would definitely consider the Tuscon in the CUV category though

    Love your reviews you are the only one that so far have review both versions
    I bought the 2.0 version without test driving it cuz Hyundai only had the turbo available so I was a bit worried but after watching your review I am confident that the 2.0 version will be the one for me . I drive everyday in a bumper to bumper traffic so I want something smooth and save for winter driving in Ottawa where we get lot of snow and icy roads
    Thanks man
    Btw I got the Tucson 2.0 luxury version in Caribbean blue which I am still waiting to get !! I am very excited
    Take care and keep up the good work

    I could be wrong on some of these points but my personal preference on buying a new Tucson is this...
    Going from Base model to top trim adds $16000 to the price - So may well not be worth the price to upgrade to top model
    For me, I would just buy the Base model ($24,500) and do the following:
    - Buy my own Alum wheels for approx $600+ (incl taxes)
    - Buy my own Navigation stereo head unit ($250 - $500) - Can even get Android consoles to replace the hyundai factory console
    Either way, unless you want the 1.6T engine and beige interior it's probably not cost-efficient to go for higher models just for the few extra features

    We have owned a Hyundai Tiburon for many years and I'm a fan of the make. I worried over the panoramic roof and the problems Hyundai has had with them shattering unexpectedly. It happened to friends of mine with a 2015 Santa Fe, they made the dealer exchange it for another without a sunroof. When I asked both the salesperson and sales manager they stared at me as if this was new to them......we are continuing to consider the Tuscon, but unless Hyundai comes clean I am hesitant.

    I have the 2016 limited turbo. I experience lack of acceleration sometimes. When I timed it once it was 2 seconds slower from 30 to 70 km/h than usual. Same road, same driving mode. This is an occasional occurrence though. They couldn't do anything about it. After 2 months the air conditioning died. They repaired it, since then the dashboard has been squeaking. They did not put it back well. It needs to be fixed again. Coolant goes below minimum between regular maintenance services. I will ask what they have to say about this. So good luck to everyone who buys this product. This is my first and last Hyundai for sure.

    We use to only buy Toyota we now have a 2015 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T love it little thing they do over say our previous Toyota ...rear heated seats and steering wheel small things yes but really nice. When I asked my sales rep at Toyota they said no we don't have those we want our customers to have cold hands. We are now looking for another new second car you can bet the Tucson will likely be the one.

    I like the Hyundai Tuscon--the only thing is that it seems a bit of a small engine. My daughter drives the 2 L Ford Edge (Titanium) which motivates the car faster than this one. Not sure why they didn't have a 2L turbo rather than a 1.6 L engine. As they say there's no replacement for displacement.

Well, next week, I am heading down to Hyundai dealer to trade in my CRV to get this beauty. Frankly, I am not very happy with the CRV with all the troubles I am facing with now.. Say 'hello' to HYUNDAI and good bye to HONDA!!! I think this car will out sell any of other competitors in this compacy CUV segment. Great job, Hyundai!!

    These just came out in dealer lots in my neck of the woods and I checked out a couple of them but did not test drive yet. My initial impression, it's roomier then the previous version and more stylish but noticed cheap hard plastics on the base model interior. I also noticed that the front seat headrests are forward tilted with no adjustment possible making it impossible to lean back, this can be seen in the video @ 2:13. There is a push button adjustment for the headrest on the Sante Fe, allowing it to slide forward or backwards but it's missing from the Tucson, why?

      @supercooled 8 лет назад

      +ronaldov09 We don't get diesel trims in Canada, sadly.
      This Tucson is beautiful but for $40K they could have made the interior a little nicer place to be in.
      About the 1.6 turbo engine; is that the same one in the Veloster Turbo? I have that in my Kia. My car is 3,000 lbs and I would guess the Tucson is much heavier.

    • @Coupydog
      @Coupydog 8 лет назад

      +supercooled Thank goodness it's considerably LESS than $40K,l even in Limited trim. The interior should be nicer. Beige looks okay because the two-tone effect breaks it up. In black, it looks Spartan. Needs more bright accents, trim, etc. Now I see these "dress up" interior pieces on e-Bay so somebody caught on. More homework for Hyundai for 2017?

My Boss '13 Mustang gets 26 mpg Highway. Why is the Tucson only rated at 2 mpg's higher -- Really? Looks like homework time for 2017.

    41K plus tax for a loaded Tucson ? INSANE !...the same money as a loaded Santa Fe. Any why in gods name did they not just use the old base 2.4L is beyond me, 191hp and matching torque numbers would stomp the1.6L & 2.0L and likely match the fuel eco numbers. I really think you will see some huge price slashing if Hyundai expects to sell these. IMO they should have saved on the dual clutch and turbo'ed engine in exchange for more realistic pricing. Nice but under powered , too much technology for an entry level SUV and over priced.

    Hi!
    I Disliked your video.
    Do you know why?
    1-You show us a full specked blue SUV, but you did your review base model and compliately looks different than other one.
    2-Generally you dont show the car well. You just speak. This is rediculus. People didnt came to listen to all specks, we came to see what is it and how it looks and sounds from inside and outside.
    Because everybody could find them from the net.
    3-Please add some different features to your reviews for giving us a better fun.
    Thanks!

      Uğur Faruk Tüzün Your first point is simply wrong. He and his crew tested two versions, one with the 2.0 liter and one with the 1.6 liter. The 1.6 liter was the blue one. If you'd watched and listened carefully, you would have known that he drove both of them during the review. As for the rest of your points: different reviewers do different things. If every reviewer followed the same exact format and talked about the same exact things, that would be boring and unhelpful. If you want an exhaustive look at the features, inside and out, check out saabkyle or Alex on Autos or other similar reviewers.
