Hey, mate! Appreciate the video! Quick question; might be my angle but does the ARB cover sit flush with the bottom of the diff or is there some overhand?
I put these arb covers on with lube locker gaskets about 2 months ago and love them. One question though, did you put in the factory capacity of fluid or did you find that the arb covers require more? I put in the factory capacity myself and 2 months later, I used my lockers for the first time since installing these and found my front locker got stuck in the on position and had to finish a 3 hour trail with the front locked. After the trail run, I had to remove the front diff out of my jeep and cycle the locker using a 12v battery and finally got it to unlock. I then wandered if I needed more fluid with these diff covers than stock. Still not sure, but this time around I added more than stock capacity and figure any extra will come out my vent tube.
Good question and sorry to hear about the issue, that sucks. I did notice with the ArB cover it was slight bigger in volume so I used two full bottles. with the OE cover I used 1.1/2 bottles so I figured 2 should be enough. When I checked to dip stick, it was half full. I would rather be little under than over.
@@Jeepin4lf NO FRICTION MODIFIERS should be used in any helical-gear-type limited slip, for two reasons: 1. there are no clutches that require it's use and 2. friction modifier will reduce the traction-sensing ability of a TrueTrac/TorSen/Quaife/whatever-brand helical gear limited slip. Cheers.
Nice video but I think you forgot to mark the dipstick level before filling the differential.
Can you add a little rtv to that gasket?
Great video! What did you do regarding the break line clips above the differential cover?
Thanks man, very helpfull video...

It sits flush at the bottom, but has slight overhang on top. Cheers
Did you have to use more fluid to refill, in the arb than with the factory ones?
Yes just a little.
Do you happen to remember what you torqued the bolts to? LL directions say 35 but ARB says 25.4.🤔

This ARB diff cover has a dipstick for checking the gear oil level.
