Greatest hard rock band in history.
Only God could repeat the greatness of Jon Lord's synthesizer and organ playing. Ian Guillian is just epic. In my opinion there is no one better.
Perfectly said!
Super when bas and drummer is starting -and It is together energy of unity - rhytm to forward 😉
No better combination of five guys playing music anywhere.
Yeah bro Guillian is such a great drummer 👍
God/Lord. It’s all the same!
Fantastic! This is the best I've heard from the 80s. Gillan voice is brilliant on this. A.Band.On.Fire!!!!
Search for DEEP PURPLE LIVE 1986 . STEVE MORSE LEAD GUITAR THEN AND NOW IN 2022 !

Understatement.

Deep Purple is my favourite band..legend.
The greatest band in the Universe!!
What a amazing show!! I was there 18 years old now 54 ten rows back from the stage seeing my favorite band of all time!! My ears were ringing for a week after that night the absolute power of The entire band was so freaking assume!! And seeing the master John lord on organ rocken it was incredible to see! Rip John 🎹🙏
I saw this tour in Worcester I was third row. I’m 57 now the damage to my ears is permanent. One of the best shows of all time, I was third row in front of Ian. When Jon’s organ started rocking thought it was going to fall on us!
MK2 Purple really rocked. Great combination of great musicians.
I was there. My favourite band In my youth. Took a long time to see them live. Im 62 now and still jam to these guys. Pioneers of rock.
I saw the tour in Philly. 5 virtuosos! One of the greatest concerts I've seen
Philly Spectrum RIP
i was at this show got to meet ritchie, jon , roger , and had a beer next to gillan one of best nights of my life ! still have autograsphs
I saw the same tour in Jacksonville, Fl. They played a song I have never hear before or since. It had the same tones and runs as Perfect Strangers but wasn't. Something about a man who loses something in a cabin maybe. Can you help me with that or was that a one time thing?
I was there I won two front row seats 94hjy .

Keyboard sound of Jon Lord is exceptional. This band is exceptional too for sure.
From an era when bands really did understand music, could actually read music, could actually compose music and could actually, and skilfully play their instruments. Ritchie and Jon had an almost telepathic relationship on stage which was pure musical magic! IMHO John was the best keyboard player of his generation, maybe ever. Ritchie was the best rock guitarist ever. The 2 of them together were way ahead of their time.
RIP John Lord.
That's super true but also kinda lame...rock shouldn't be perfect either.
There are plenty of bands around today with those skill sets you lament. Yes, these guys were brilliant and my favourite band of all time, but please don't assume that the crap on commercial media today is representative of all music being made today. It isn't.
@@emjem99 Just my opinion. But I must admit, when I go to music festivals, the bands that play during the day, long before the night time headliners, are usually the bands I prefer to watch and listen to because their music seems less contrived and more genuine, if that makes any sense.
@@cinematicpassages8884 I didn’t say it was perfect. Even Ritchie said in an interview that he thought Joe Satriani was a great guitarist but he was too perfect. He went on to say that if a guitarist was improvising and searching for something new, special and unique you will hit the odd wrong note in your search but it’s what you do to incorporate that note so it doesn’t sound like a mistake. But at least if you’re hitting the odd bum note you’re searching for something great and unique and not just repeating what you’ve played before note for note.
@@gaz0463 makes a lot of sense. Music is very personal and I've been lucky to have found a lot of great bands that scratch my own musical itch over my 63 years and am happy to say that I still find them today. Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Big Big Train, Nightwish to name a few, but I'm just as happy digging out my Deep Purple and Rush albums from back then and their latest stuff as well.
I seen this tour Feb 85 in Pittsburgh luved the show. Deep purple is my all time favorite rock band.
Five top musicians in one band playing one of their most inspired tunes. Doesn't get any better in the Rock world.
And some idiots say Led Zep were better than Deep Purple!😅😅
i was at this show in providence. march 2,3 worcester 4,5th providence.. 4 shows in 4 nights..
The greatest band of rock!!Love every moment of this!
This particular show I always refer to as the single loudest concert I have ever attended, Ian's vocals echoed in my head for days after, great to see a show I was at preserved, they were having fun and so were we.....
Best Heavy Band This Universum forever!!!
I consider this drum player the best ever
julian mika Ian Paice is amazing.
julian mika by far
Mr Ian Paice the metronome 👍👍👍
you're NOT wrong.
He is the best.
Excelentísima Agrupación, uno de los Mejores Grupos de Música en el Planeta 🌍🌎🌏 ❤️👌👍🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏🌹👏👏👏👏 Me Encantan!!!!!👌👍
Was at that show. Totally rocked. The whole laser light, along with the mind-crushing volume made for an awesome show. Never forget.
That`s great! You are the best band ever. Love you.
MAN IT WAS ONE OF THEIR BEST PERFORMANCE...I WAS THERE!!!
Good 'ole classic DP. Great reuniting of the original line-up. Even in 1985, way past their prime, the band performed remarkably well & Ian was able to belt out a few of his trademark high vocals. Awesome video. :-)
I was at this show, my first ever rock concert, my ears rang for days after, but it was definitely worth it!! I will never forget this concert, they were freaking amazing live!!
This Isn't/Wasn't Providence, This Was Taken From The DVD Filmed In Australia
Can't believe this video is around. Was 15 years old and really left a lasting impression as one of the concerts that stands out from when I was a kid. Cool that it was as good as I remember. Lasers were awesome for the time. Thanks!
All power of wild emotions in one place!
Lol love the funny duets with Roger... they had a tons of fun :-)))
Holy Shit! I never knew this existed! This was the first concert I ever went to. All I remember was I was 14, I smelled pot for the first time, some guy had a trench coaI full of pills in the bathroom, and Jon Lord rocking those keyboards. What a great find.
Heyjoenyc Heyjoenyc That’s hilarious . I would have written exactly the same description of my first Purple gig in Glasgow. I had just turned 14 in 1972 and they had just returned from Japan (recorded Made in Japan). Saw this line up again when touring the House of Blue light album. Not their best album but the show was great. The track hard lovin’ woman was particularly good live as was Bad Attitude. Always thought the backing track to the latter was a steal from the thin Lizzy track Jail Bait, but slowed down a little. Ritchie briefly formed a band with Lizzy bassist/singer Phil Lynott
I was 15 and my first concert was DeepPurple in 85
Just awesome - great to re-live those best days!
Лучшие на все времена❤
Lord is really rockin and rollin that organ!
jon lord (RIP) rocks what a solo awesom

I was at that show!! It was baaaaaad asssssssss!!!! Destiny brought them together again-one of the best shows I've seen so far!!
deep purple-the original may be the only one. and he is always the best
I don't know, I love Rod Evans but I think Gillan is better. Absolutely loved Captain Beyond though.
"Space Truckin'" - WoW ))))))) Whata a POWER of the hard-rock played live on the stage !!!! Eh?
The best!
Best band, and Jonh Lord is the devil of the keyboard!!!!
I've never heard Gillan sing "Space Truckin" as well as on this video. Just fantastic. The whole band is brilliant.
Thank god there are more and more old concerts on youtube. I've seen countless gigs live and I'm always really happy to find a video from a concert where I was there.
Just this week I found two such purple videos, from Germany: June 29th '85 Mannheim and July 6th '85 Nuremberg. Mannheim was only audio, but it doesn't matter.
On the following weekend, July 13th and 14th, I was in Zurich, Switzerland for the Deep Purple concert. I would be happy to find something of these too.
I was 2-years old ))) Thank's .... Amazing video!!!
Jon Lord, The True Master, period......R.I.P
The master of what? Placing/fixing bets in the back rooms of the casinos to lock in results to DP concerts that are scheduled to begin a few hours prior to his winnings. In other words, Jon L and Roger G fix bets to match the outcome of the battle of the air waves on stage, but more often than not, those bets end up being losses, ever since the kids pointed us in their direction one day, so we could tell Ian what Jon L and Roger G had been doing, only after we observed them for a while and asked a bunch of questions, to the point Jon L told us to shut the F up because he can do anything he wants, no matter what Ritchie and Ian say because he is the godfather of the Rock mafia. And while Jon L may be dead, he is alive and well in Kansas, where Ritchie sent him, no big secret nor surprise there.

The next DVD. Awesome!
Maravilloooooooooso.
I was there. We drove there in a blinding snow storm, and Jon Lords plane couldn't land. It was well worth going back the next night.
@jesus ocando 😁 I wish. No, drove from North of Boston, all the way to Providence. It snowed like hell the whole way there. No idea where he flew in from, but he couldn't land anywhere near the venue.
The Perfect Strangers tour. After 11 years apart! ❤️
I love that song! Check out Perfect Strangers video from the the Come Hell Or High Water tour. It’s an amazing performance by all of them but especially by Ian Gillan.
They played extremely good on those shows... i wonder and hope the footage of the whole show will be released in the future.... its an testament of deep purples great musical knowledge... they were lighyyears ahead of their time... thanks

1985. Everybody in the band has about 20 years of experience as a professional musician. They are matured , still young and know what they are doing. Not raw and exciting like early 70's but they are still in there. Very nice.
Simple the Best.
Como no considerarlos como el grupo de rock de i los tiempos.
John Lord um mestre nos teclados de todos os tempos sou muito fã seus sons nos teclados parece uma viagem cem volta está sempre na memória com certeza é um maestro quê nós deixou

Holy Crap! I was at this show!!! Schoolgirl opened for them. I was sixteen.
Probably my recording on french TV "TF1" in 1985... I made multi VHS copies in the 80's & 90's...
This is NOT the show from Paris. IG had a terrible cold/flue while in France. I think that's the worst I've ever heard Ian. How he managed to complete the show, I really would like to know :-)
I love Ian ,my love platonic
I know just what you mean😍
Just cant find this kind of jamming and virtuosity anymore anywhere..
Why hasn't the full show from Providence '85 been legally released? Shame it hasn't!!

February 19 1985 at Joe Louis Arena Main Floor General Admission. The people I went with left me there, and to this day I do not remember the concert or how I got home, I was 14 years old.
