I just said to someone, “I hope the lady who sent me the book sees my post.” I want her to know I have been asked to read her poems. I plan to do that if you have no objections. Can the book of poetry be ordered? Thank you for responding.
Granny, i wish i lived nearby where i could drive you around. I am in Va.though. I would enjoy it! I used to drive my mother and my mother in law around to places they wanted or needed to go.. I heard so much wonderful conversation! They rode in the back! Haha! It sounds like fun to me!
Granny, I need for your videos to at least be 50 minutes or more. 😂 Your voice is soothing and I listen to you every night to help me sleep. I’ve suffered with insomnia for years and your videos allow for me to drift off into dreamland. Your roasted vegetables video is my favorite! Keep chatting granny! We love it!
Listening to Granny Pat makes my anxiety about everyday life feel better. I usually watch when I am sitting down to eat dinner. It makes for nice company. Thanks, GP!!
I’m only 44. My husband passed unexpectedly on March 17, 2020. Just as Covid really started. He didn’t die from Covid though. My dog passed the day before Father’s Day 2023 and my momma just passed unexpectedly on April 14, 2024. My children are grown and live in other states far from me. I’m lonely. Always had a full house with lots of love and conversations. Now it’s quiet and cold. Been really devastating. GOD is helping mend me. Granny Pat brings back beautiful memories and I feel like I have company when I listen to her.
Hello Granny Pat, I’m a Granny and Great Granny. I’m 78. I had to have both of my hips and both knees replaced. Not fun. The knees will never be normal again. I can’t walk very far anymore. You are blessed to get around like you do. I would like to travel more. My son is a pilot. You would think I would be flying around everywhere. Love to fly but getting thru security with all the metal in me is awful. I make all the alarms go off! Love your idea of a day trip ..would so much enjoy that. ❤
Granny pat may God always bless you your so precious I could hear you talk all day I miss my grannies when I was young I’m 59 years old and love your channel
Thank you for your stories and your sweet calming voice. You are so very special. I wish I lived close to you. I would take you and myself to fun places!! God bless you. 💝🙏
As others previously suggested, check with senior citizens centers and churches for day trips. I hope you can connect with someone. I have humps in my clothes too from hanging on the door hooks. Sometimes it’s the simplest conversations and stories that we can relate to you. And I always enjoy you showing your older items, collections, and table settings. Take care!
Since I can't afford to go to France I watch the walking tour on you tube I've walked through Paris at Christmas time with the beautiful white lights and Normandy in Spring 😊
Hi granny pat, Love listening to your stories..I wish I live closer to you.. I surely would enjoy your company , while we go shopping together… You have a good day ..Love you granny Pat..

Hi Granny Pat; I wanted to thank you for reading some of the poems to us from Jan Brady's book. The poems & pictures seem to bring me back to a simpler time when life didn't seem quite as challenging as it does today. Thank you for the chit-chat today. After watching your videos, i always seem to feel like i visited with a very close girlfriend. Thank you, Granny Pat. You're the best. Patricia from Pa.♡
Hello Granny Pat Glad to see you again doing another cheerful video. Love your glasses they blend in with your complexion. Enjoy your chit chats. Hope you will be able to find some type of social organization for seniors to stay connected to others.I know you try to stay busy doing things. Like your chit chats on different topics. Well hope you have a pleasant night. Love from Texas. ❤🥰
When i was a child i grew up playing in the marsh down in Charleston SC on my beloved Filbin Creek. On the other side of the creek was a train tracks complete with a trestle which straddled the bend in the creek...of course back then i called it a "trussle"..."hey Tommy, you want go back to the trussle?" We learned how to safely hop trains and spent many a day hopping trains and riding them off to the airport(for example) where we'd climb up on an old lone chimney standing next to a single shade-tree and have lunch, normally a bologna sandwich we had packed from home, and watch the planes take off and land. There were also times i may be walking the tracks to or from high school when a train would magically appear and i'd get a free ride. The marsh was a playground for us, a playground the adults or parents never went to but a playground filled with trails we were very familiar with because they were ours. The marsh was also filled with snakes and goldmine or jackpot as we called them, of huge blackberry bushes from which we picked gallons and gallons of blackberries for the neighborhood moms. My best friend and I are still very close and still laugh at so many things and fun times we had in our own little world. We still feel very fortunate to have had our marsh and to have grown up in a time where our entertainment was outside and filled with nature, rather than video games and cell phones. ;-)
I truly enjoyed your chat tonight. I had an outing with three ladies This past Monday . We went to a new Resturant’s for lunch and had a great catch up visit. We laughed and talked for a couple hours. We all went away with a smile of joy from being out and the good conversation and lunch. We are in our 80’s and don’t live close together. We sure did have a great afternoon out with great each other. Have a good night😊
I love your stories. You remind me of my mom that passed three years ago. I would like to find you on Facebook but I don't know what name it's under . I'm in Texas but would love to drive you around if I were close to you. Have a blessed evening.
Enjoyed your chat as usual. Funny you mentioned hangers. That's one of my hobbies. Making hangers (covering with yarn), and giving as gifts. I'd love sending you some if I had an address for shipping. No lumps or hanger marks when using. And they are beautiful too. ❤ Jan in Tennessee.
So good to see you tonight❤. Our local Office of the Aging does senior trips. I’m 65 and my mom is 86 with Alzheimer’s. I’ve had two total knee replacements on each leg and back surgery so it’s hard for me to take her far and she loves to get out. The trips are local and some are weekend trips and very inexpensive and so many to choose from. I have your cookbook and your other two and love them and have given some for gifts.
Wow Granny Pat! There are some senior citizen community centers to find some ladies your age. And transportation services will get you to your destination! Let us know if you need help finding one!
Pat, I just looked online at Broadway Baptist Church and they have some nice day trips coming up. Most cost $69. You may not know the folks there but you will get to know them and I'm sure you would enjoy it! There is one for lunch in Versailles and then go somewhere to see a movie, and there are a couple to that playhouse in IN that we went to. Then they have longer trips. Check it out!! ❤❤ Just trying to help!!
I just watched episode #12 The joys of England! That was a fabulous hilarious story, I loved it, I’m still laughing! You two ladies really had an adventure.
Hi Granny Pat, I started watching your videos awhile back after my mother remarked that you remind her of her grandmother . Now I am hooked and can't wait to watch your next video and hear your stories. You have such a sweet calming voice . I'm on assignment at Baptist Hospital here in Lexington. It would be an honor to transport you to the library, cemetary , b and b ,or wherever. My toy poodle , Charlie, is probably wondering who this Granny Pat is that I listen to, lol. Take care and God bless
Granny Pat are there Senior Centers in your town? Look into those if there are any there. They have several day trips and provide transportation. I am in Southern California or I'd be knocking on your door. God bless!
I live in Oklahoma. We have several bus tour travel companies. I have taken longer trips with them, but they also do day trips. It is mostly retired people that go and it's alot of fun! The buses are very comfortable. You ought to check and see if there is anything like this where you live.
My friend’s parents were married in a tv show in NYC in the 50s. I had forgotten all about it until you brought it up. I love your day trip idea. I’d love to go to a tearoom.
Hi Granny Pat😊 I live in Pennsylvania among Amish. They have drivers who take them places anywhere from the grocery store to a vacation trip 😊 I m not sure if you have Amish near you but if you do I would inquire about getting an Amish driver 😊❤
I wish I lived close enough to you, I would take you up on organizing the van rides. Pat, you are a treasure! Looking forward to seeing you and Billy Gene in the next live! I did a little sleuthing on the internet and because the name is Jan Brady, you can imagine because of Jan on The Brady Bunch, all I kept getting was information about the show. I tried.❤️🙏🇨🇦
Would you believe, the daughter of Jan Brady saw my post about her mother’s book of poetry. What are the chances of that happening again? I was thrilled to hear from her.
I love listening to your stories. I've been on a couple of day trips. Had a fun time. I love looking a cookbooks. Hope you find a driver to take you on your trip. Have a nice evening
Our local senior citizens club often have day trip, also our church and I imagine churches of different denominations will have trips. Hope this helps. Maybe you have already checked them out.
Now I can't get a song out of my head: "What a day this has been, what a rare mood I'm in, why it's almost like being in love. got a smile on my face for the whole human race, yes it's almost like being in love!"
You got it! Love those old songs. Got Green Door on my mind, and wanted to dance. Oh, if only I could like I used to. “There’s an old piano and they play it hot - behind the Green Door. Don’t know what they’re doing but they laugh a lot - behind the Green Door.” Silly words but so effective! Wouldn’t it be nice to hear good fun music again?
Evening Granny Pat..sure enjoyed your visit. Don't wait too long for next visit. I somehow missed Marlene today, but I did see Billy Gene baking a white cake. Good night!😊
Wow that caught my attention ! Lol Ferndale,MI … in from Windsor,ON Canada on the border of Detroit … love listening to your videos …pictures are so special! I hardly have any of my life ..
Pat, you spoke of the white castle hamburgers, I personally know the people that started that company, they are just plain people nothing fancy about them, there home don't stick out like big mansion
Hi Granny Pat! Love your new flower arrangement. You look pretty, as always. I am glad you found the book that was sent to you. Very special from a subscriber. You mentioned day trips and you should check with local churches and see what they offer. My parents loved their trips and met lots of great people. They had an event planner and it was always fun and good restaurants. Lots of sightseeing too. The cost was very affordable. A very safe way to do what you had mentioned. It is so nice of you to fix up a meal for Jan and Charlie. Enjoyed your Chit Chat. You are a true delight, my friend. Nancy from IN. 😊❤
If you like to travel and go places you may lookin to what one of my friends does. She travels with a group by bus that takes vacation trips. It’s all planned and everything included for one price. She’s older and travels that way year round.
Hello Granny Pat, I’ve missed my calling , a few years ago I said I would love to have a bus and pick up some ladies and go places. I guess I could have done that, not really thinking how many women out there that would probably have loved to be able to go like that. I think it would have made for some fun times. I liked the book you showed. Jan did a nice job on that. I’m always running somewhere. I want to keep going as long as I can. I’m 67 and I have an 84 year old friend I take with me. She can run circles around me. Lol I love being in the company of women who have keep their selfs going . It is important. We just can’t give up, we will get all rusty. Thanks for your video tonight GP. ❤😊 BL from Ohio
Wonder if your local senior center would have contacts or bulletin board you can put a request on? If I were closer I'd be driving Miss Pat and friends ❤
Love you and your stories. I worked as a teenager in a Dairy Isle in a small town and we sold hamburgers seven for a dollar. Those were the days.carson in Ohio💕🙏🍔
It would be nice if the residents where you live would charter a van for a group of you to take a trip for the day. The ladies you had for lunch would be a good start. I know my brother and his wife go on day trios with their Sunday School class and really enjoy it. A good idea starts with just one thought. You could do it. Just try,you want know if you don't try.
I love those trips too. I went on a few before the pandemic, but it seems after that, that things changed and they never started it back up. I have been thinking I need to go to Boone Tavern for a meal soon. I'm sure you have been there before. I live in Somerset. I have family in Richmond, so I can stop at Boone T. on my way back sometime. I have only stayed at one B&B and that was in TN at Grey Gables Inn. I loved it! It was after my husband passed and I wanted to be alone for that trip. I was the only guest and it was very nice. I used to take some day trips with one of the banks here. We went to IN to see a play and eat while the play went on. I loved it! Then they stopped at a mall to let those shop that wanted to shop. I have also gone on several day trips with the church. I think they may still have them, and I need to check that out. I would think some of the churches in Lexington would have that available. You might want to check. We went to the Pioneer Playhouse one time. I am not a big traveler but sometimes it is certainly fun! Our church did that but unfortunately, most of the ones that loved to go have passed on. The senior trips got cancelled. I never grew up with White Castle and really don't like their burgers. The buns are too soggy for me. A friend of mine grew up eating them in Cincinnati and she loves that we have one here!! Take care Granny Pat, and stay cool in this sweltering heat!
🌺🌿Hope you find some Ladies club to enjoy 🦋🌸so you can have some 🐞🌼outings that would be nice for you 🌺🐛…Thanks for sharing your friends book 📖 must keep a eye out for it 🌟💖😊🙏enjoy your night 🪴
That struck me so funny! Yes, I'll tell you if that bump on your head has changed you or still does. No, Pat, I don't think you've changed at all ... maybe a bit funnier, but that's a good thing. ☺🌷
Granny Pat Karen forestparkga did you find your hearing aid ok tonight I had meatloaf corn 🌽 mashed potatoes pea bread 🍞 tomorrow tuna chips Dr pepper Sunday steak eggs and coffee juice maybe don't myself like Trip to see soon 😔😊😊😊😅❤❤
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 I dont remember seeing any. But I am sure they are there. We always booked the same hotel right off Bourbon St. We are planning a trip Labor Day weekend. Yes tell the story.
@@londonkyguy It’s not really a story.. I was in NOLA with a co-worker. She was quite familiar with everything because she had lived there and gone to college. We decided to eat at the Court of Two Sisters for dinner. Taking a shortcut through an alley, she pointed to the brick wall of a building and said, “you said you had never seen a cockroach! Well, there goes one along the side of that building.” I nearly jumped up in her arms! That creature was about 2 inches long. We got out of bed the following morning and roaches were crawling across the dresser and up the walls. I couldn’t wait to get out of that city. Never wanted to go back again.
Hello! ❤ I came across your channel and have thoroughly enjoyed watching and hearing your stories...I just wanted to share a hint about your shirt issue. I have a problem with the shoulders of my shirts sliding down on the hanger and leaving a hump from the end of the hanger. I started hanging the shirts inside out and no more humps on my shoulders! Try hanging it on your doorknob inside out.
Seniors need to get out just like everyone else. There are some older people that do not like to get out anymore and some older people that would love the chance to get out for a few hours. I’m 60 so I can get out and get around. I can just imagine being at home all day and nowhere to go because you can’t drive very far. In Brighton, Colorado the senior center there takes people places all the time. Of course you have to pay to go on the trip, but it gets seniors out. They also have games and movies and crafts and they have lunch. Once in a while, they will do a dinner. They spoil their seniors very well.
Granny Pat i just saw that your last name is O’Neal. My mom’s maiden name is O’Neal, I wonder if there’s any relation? My grandparents lived in Shamrock Texas but were from around Arkansas.
Hi Granny Pat , do you suffer from any illness’s and if so how do you manage them , and at what age did they start, obviously you don’t have to discuss them with us if don’t want, how did you navigate menopause, Just a thought.👋

@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Fantastic, Do you have a separate email account for RUclips in order to communicate with you?

I love listening to your stories. I've been on a couple of day trips. Had a fun time. I love looking a cookbooks. Hope you find a driver to take you on your trip. Have a nice evening
Our local senior citizens club often have day trip, also our church and I imagine churches of different denominations will have trips. Hope this helps. Maybe you have already checked them out.
❤ thanks Granny Pat
Now I can't get a song out of my head: "What a day this has been, what a rare mood I'm in, why it's almost like being in love. got a smile on my face for the whole human race, yes it's almost like being in love!"
You got it! Love those old songs. Got Green Door on my mind, and wanted to dance. Oh, if only I could like I used to. “There’s an old piano and they play it hot - behind the Green Door. Don’t know what they’re doing but they laugh a lot - behind the Green Door.”
Silly words but so effective! Wouldn’t it be nice to hear good fun music again?
Hope you get to travel Granny Pat
Yes you seemed to be feeling better every day.
I would love to participate in your travel idea if only I loved close enough! I’m 6 hours away! Someone would have to drive me to you first!
Let’s just say, I’m dreamin’.
Pat, you spoke of the white castle hamburgers, I personally know the people that started that company, they are just plain people nothing fancy about them, there home don't stick out like big mansion
Here in NYC the church has groups that go away on day trips and I think it’s a great idea
I need to get busy and follow through with the idea of day trips. It would give me material for utube stories.
If you like to travel and go places you may lookin to what one of my friends does. She travels with a group by bus that takes vacation trips. It’s all planned and everything included for one price. She’s older and travels that way year round.
I have done this a few times - Nova Scotia, Biltmore in NC, Cincinnati to see Rosemary Clooney.
After a long day at work, I so look forward to your videos. Thank you
I love White Castle;but they don’t agree with my digestion anymore. Nothing else tastes like their cheeseburgers 🍔. I live in Indiana.
Keep it up. I wish I could have started sooner.
Granny Pat If I was closer I would be glad to take you for a day trip. We would have a ball.
❤
Hi Granny.
Wonder if your local senior center would have contacts or bulletin board you can put a request on? If I were closer I'd be driving Miss Pat and friends ❤
I am making this too personal.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 No, you are giving voice to so many others in the same boat as you.
Love you and your stories. I worked as a teenager in a Dairy Isle in a small town and we sold hamburgers seven for a dollar. Those were the days.carson in Ohio💕🙏🍔
I remember White Castle, Ten Cents esch.
Have you heard of Daytrippers?
Sounds interesting.
Call a local travel agent to create a trip for you.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pat, I’d be your “chauffeur” in an instant if I could! I bet we would have a grand time, and hopefully not end up like Thelma and Louise! 😂

That struck me so funny! Yes, I'll tell you if that bump on your head has changed you or still does. No, Pat, I don't think you've changed at all ... maybe a bit funnier, but that's a good thing. ☺🌷
I walk slower! Gotta’ keep my balance.
Peach is a pretty color on you. 🍑
Do you have a place in your commitment a place that you can rent a group bus and driver? Where I live you can rent a private a bus service? 🌻🦋

Good evening Granny Pat. Did you visit NOLA when you were traveling. I love NOLA. I loved the Cemetery tours there. And of course all the Mardi gras..
I liked everything except the cockroaches. That reminds me of a story!!
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900OH no!
Well, there goes one along the side of that building.”
I nearly jumped up in her arms! That creature was about 2 inches long. We got out of bed the following morning and roaches were crawling across the dresser and up the walls. I couldn’t wait to get out of that city. Never wanted to go back again.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900Lol I dont recall ever seeing any. But with the heat and humidity I am sure they are there.
We have good Senior Citizen groups.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 awesome.that’s wonderful.
Granny Pat i just saw that your last name is O’Neal.
My mom’s maiden name is O’Neal, I wonder if there’s any relation?
My grandparents lived in Shamrock Texas but were from around Arkansas.
My husband’s O’Neals were from Georgia/North Carolina.
Hi Granny Pat , do you suffer from any illness’s and if so how do you manage them , and at what age did they start, obviously you don’t have to discuss them with us if don’t want, how did you navigate menopause, Just a thought.👋
Menopause was a breeze for me. I have never had a lot of illnesses - good genes.
