That was a great story! I can’t believe you were 29 when you had to start driving. You are a strong, & independent Woman and you honestly inspire me so much! My Daughter Ava just took Segment 1 driver’s Training Class & passed. She has her permit now. She’ll be 16 in October. It’s a bit nerve wrecking to sit in that passenger seat and let her drive my Jeep. It’s used but it’s nice. I haven’t really ever owned a brand new car off of the lot. We buy nice used cars. You never have to worry about a huge car payment. That’s the best way I believe. ❤️

Just a suggestion. The ladies who work jigsaw puzzles here at HT purchased a few 8x10 flat trays for separating puzzle pieces by color. This way they could work with one tray at a time, rather than trying to make room on the table for so many loose pieces. For instance, if you had a lot of blue/white pieces for sky, put them in a tray and set them aside until you were ready to build the sky. You could probably find cheap plastic trays in kitchen wear sections of a store.
You won’t be so overwhelmed by hundreds of puzzle pieces before you at the same time.

Pat, the sound at the beginning of your video weren’t birds but rather cicadas. Not sure if you have heard yet but part of this great country of ours will be visited for the first time since 1803, Brood XIX and XIII will co-emerge. We will be able to see all 7 cicadas species as adults at the same time in the same year, won’t happen again till 2037. Now what I was told is as they are moving doing their thing they will do a very fast sweep, eat everything in their site. Rumor or truth, don’t know but guess I will find out 😊 Sorry about babbling on about them, they just happen to interest me and have for years. We usually always get a bunch of them and they like to attach themselves to Kent’s tires on his van. I can’t begin to tell you how many we get…LOTS!
Beautiful view, beautiful homes…thanks Granny Pat for sharing 😊 I just love your stories, I needed to hear one this day, has been rough and listening to you ALWAYS calms me down! Oh, and the homes are beautiful as are the grass and trees…My dream home will in the country and surrounded by so many trees!
You’re wearing my favorite glasses! Yes, I too like the animal print glasses and I happen to have a pair 😊
I could see sitting there where you were, surrounded by trees and hearing all the wild life around as I read a good book or watch my favorite videos 😊

    🌷🪻🌿🌸Hi G Pat
Your glasses and top look so nice together.
I could hear you just fine over the cars so don’t be concerned about them in the future.
When my husband and I were both stationed in Spangdahlem Germany, he drove a yellow VW Bug, the old model. Well, in the winter months when snow was deep on the roads it was the only car that would make it through the hills and snow. But I could have lit a match and put out more heat than the car’s heater. To top it off the defrost was a joke and I used a scraper to scrape a hole big enough to see through to drive to base. Our breath would fog up the windshield so to add to the below freezing temps, we had to roll down the window enough to keep the screen defogged. Boy those were the days.
Your story of getting your drivers license left me thinking one word about you…brave. In the 60’s no less. And God bless the lady who let you use her car! That was a great story.
I hope you have a group on the roof to watch the fireworks. Strawberry lemonade with blueberry ice cream. Another easy treat is cream soda with a couple of scoops of strawberry ice cream in it. Strawberry floats. 🍓🍧
    God bless -

Interesting story about you getting your license. The Dodge Matador is huge. My first car I gave $400 for, and my brother helped me pick it out. It was a 1964 red Mustang. Oh, how I wish I still had it! It's a classic too now! I got my license in Richmond. I do like the big tree above you. It has been very hot and humid. I got out this afternoon and cut some limbs around the fence. Over the hill is Lake Cumberland and there are lots of houseboats down there. Someone had some music going on one of them. People like to come to their boats, especially on weekends. I probably worked 20 minutes and was sweating like crazy, and had to come in. A little at a time gets the job done though! Have a great Sunday Pat.

After your previous video when you shared about your first car, the Dodge Matador, I looked up a picture of it to refresh my memory. It certainly was a classic. I remember you mentioned as well once having a Buick Le Sabre, which was a great car from my car history. I have owned three of them that I can remember. Now that I’m getting older, I think every time I trade cars it might be my last. I’m very thankful for all the automobiles I have had the blessing to enjoy.
