Granny Pat, what wouldn’t I give to have videos like yours of my grandma or even my mother sharing their lives (both have passed on). You are leaving an incredible legacy of your stories and remembrances expressed with humor or sometimes sadness for your family and future generations to enjoy. That priceless gift is better than any material possession !! 🩷🩷 Barb from Prince Edward Island 🇨🇦

Granny Pat, I want you to know how very special you are to me. Yes, you remind me of my Grandmother... My Grandmother would babysit for my sister and I while our mom and dad were at work. We would watch her stories after lunch. Her stories were what we call soap operas now days. I remember all the fun times my sister and I had while staying with her. She didn't have a lot of money, but we never wanted for anything. I miss her cooking fried okra, cornbread, chicken and dumplings, homemade sourdough rolls, and of course cakes and pies. She passed away from kidney cancer when I was 25 years old. Even though I was grown up, it was still hard to believe she was gone from my life. She did get to see my babies before she passed away, which I was thankful for. I didn't think there was another person in the world that would remind me of her until I found you. I'm sorry you didn't get to meet your granny before she passed away, but I'm sure a part of her is in you. I wish you good health and happiness. Good luck on your EEG tomorrow. I pray that you will get a good report. Keep us posted... Love you Granny Pat ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Granny Pat, I was outside watering my plants listening to you talk about Grandmothers. In tears, i watered the last half of the garden. I 💘 my Grams who lived to be six weeks shy of 102. She was a doll. Another saint. Truly. Someday, right after you meet Jesus face to face, next in line will be those Grandparents you never met on earth. What a celebration that day will be. Now don't go hurrying to meet them. I need you to be my grandmother here on you tube. Love all you do.

Same here Granny Pat, one of my grandmothers died several yrs before I was born and the other grandmother had a stroke and was bedridden for a few yrs before she passed. Her husband, "Bob" (grandad who didn't want to be called any of the traditional names) stopped by to see us often and brought simple gifts of food, treats and little figurerines he had whittled. He came by to gather up wood scraps when my parents were building a house. Of course I helped and thought it was a great adventure. But only a few yrs after gtandmother passed he found his highschool sweetheart and they married during their early sixties. She had homes in the TX Hill Country and on the Gulf Coast at Corpus Christy.
I was almost a teenager by then and was intrigued to see where they lived. They showed us pics of deer grazing near their home in Kerrville and of the seaside fishing docks on the water near her home at Corpus. They remained together a couple of decades, but we were never invited to visit. His second wife seldom came with him when he traveled to NW TX on farm business. She hated wind, dust and low humidity of the panhandle.
When she reached a point he couldn't manage her care her children invited Bob to "hit the road". He moved in with his eldest daughter (the hostess with the mostess) and lived several yrs under her care. By then I'd moved further away from our family stomping grounds so I wasn't lucky enough for our paths to cross much. I was busy raising a family, raising a big garden to can and freeze to supplement our grocery bill during winter when money could be tight.
I'm thankful Bob lived long enough for my kids to meet him. He was from an era when grownups didn't dote over small children, and once we got old enough to have a conversation we also learned we were "to be seen and not heard".
At least by the time my kids came along Bob had learned to pose for pictures. They value their photos with him now that they're grown. I don't even have photos of myself with any of my grandparents, except when I was a newborn. I wouldn't know it was me if I hadn't been told. 😄

Because my parents were older, my grandmother’s were gone when I was very young. I think maybe 1974 and 1975 although it may have been before that. I really can’t remember. I am now 60. When I was born in 1964, my mother was almost 38, she was born in 1926. My father was almost 48, he was born in 1916. My mother’s father died when she was 15. My father’s father died approximately 2 years before I was born, I believe. And yes, you remind me of both of my grandmothers ❤ Thank you Granny Pat ❤ Keep up the videos as I love them!! My grandma Richards used to make toast with butter and sprinkled sugar. I still love that to this very day. She was pivotal in my life, and I miss her terribly. If ever I have known someone who was close to being a saint it was her. She made her family and taking care of us the center of her world. Dear Everyone's Grandma...you wouldn't believe how much you remind me of my Nanny. Not only you're gift of telling stories but seriously you look almost identical. I really can't see much difference. From the doiley behind your head on your chair, your glasses, your hair, your style and your awesome sense of humour. (I didn't know dolphins rode horses) Haha. Her name was Norine Ryan Daly. She raised her family in Timmins Ontario, Canada. I can't believe as I started to type this you mentioned your sister Velma..my Nanny had a daughter named Velma. My Grandmother's were so wonderful. I miss them so much. My mom's mother worked as a bookkeeper until her mid 80's. She let me help her cook in the kitchen on the holidays. Her salted cooked pecans were so yummy. We would go the movies after Christmas dinner. My dad's mama was so sweet as well. She was so talented. Crocheted slippers and blankets for us. She grew veggies in the garden. I would enjoy sitting in her kitchen, as we would shell peas out of the pods. She made the best pies. Sweet potato, lemon, chocolate chess pies. 🍰🥧 She would wash her full, raw chickens in her big kitchen sink. I would always giggle seeing her washing that chicken in ivory soap. Making sure to scrub well under the wings. 😂🤣 That was the cleanest chicken I'd ever seen. So cute! ❤️ She was a widow for many years, after grandpa passed away. But she kept busy sewing and visiting her friends. She was quite attentive of her surroundings. And she would peek out of the drapes to see what the new neighbors were doing. 😂🤣 She'd say, "They are a card." 🤭 And she loved to watch her stories, i.e. soap opera on TV. I enjoyed watching them with her, as she filled me in on who was doing what on the shows. Those were such precious memories for me. God bless my Grandmothers. 🛐🙏❤️❤️❤️

Probably one of your best installments yet! What a heartfelt message. Love the background. That kerosene lamp and pewter teapot w/ pink roses beautiful. You do remind me of my grandmother; she had knack for using humor to make her stories memorable and to soften stories associated with bad memories.

The lamp is electric. A gift for helping care for my oldest sister during her bout with cancer. I chose one of her beautiful lamps.

You definitely remind me of my grandma. I miss her so much. I’m sorry you didn’t have one, Pat. 😞. I was the picky eater in my family. I used to drive my mom crazy.

I don’t remember any of my grandparents either. They all died when I was young or before I was born. I love Bologna sandwiches but especially when someone else makes them! I don’t know why. I like scrambled egg sandwiches with mayo but i scramble mine with soy sauce and tobasco. Sounds weird but so good. Hope your dr visit goes well tomorrow.❤

Yes Granny Pat you sure do and I love that you do❤. My grandma lived with us after my grandpa passed long before she did so she helped raise us. I loved sitting with her for hours after school and listening to her tell stories about her life. I learned to cook and crochet, embroider and share my day with her. I’d walk with her to church, to the five and dime, the local penny candy store and cry in her apron when I’d be sad. She’d dry my tears and make everything ok. I miss her so much and yes, you are like having my grandma still with me and I treasure you for that❤. You even look very much like my grandma. Picky eater here too, always have been and if it’s green or milk, count me out😂. I think this is my favorite video of yours❤

I was very blessed to have my Grandmother in my life ~ she was a huge part of my life since I was born ~ she delighted in me and I in her. She made my life extra special, she spoiled me with lots of love. I am thankful that she was there as I grew up, married and had 3 children of my own. They got to meet her and she adored them. When I was about 30 years old she went home to be with Jesus. I am forever grateful for the sweet memories she gave me for all those years. She was the best cook and I loved eating at her house and when I grew up she loved when I cooked for her and my Grandad. I loved her stories of when she was growing up. And you remind me of her with some of your stories. I bet you are the sweetest Grandma ever. I enjoy your stories of simpler times as I remember Grandmother's stories of simpler times. I certainly grew up in simpler times where kids could play in the yard from morning til sunset, the world was a different place than today's toxic world. My Grandmother wouldn't believe the times we are living in today. She was strong in her faith and I am strong in mine. Thankful that I have a personal relationship with God and I know that he is in control, even when the world is out of control.

You remind me of me, Pat!!!👳🤗& yes you remind me of both grandmas! They were so sweet and loving! My maternal grandmother (Mama Junie) lived 2 houses down from us and I visited her every day and often spent the night with her! My other grandmother (Grandma) lived on the other side of town and I visited her pretty often too! I still miss them so very much!😢 My grandfathers passed when I was just a baby! I am thankful my son and daughter got to know their great grandmothers!❤ I love your story today!!🥰 My mom made salmon croquettes(delicious)!! My dad was the butcher in our small town grocery store and would bring home a log of bologna! There were 4 of us kids so that didn’t last very long! I pray your test results come back great!🙏💕Love you, Granny Pat!🥰

I am the youngest child of the youngest child. My grandparents were always 30+ years older than my friends grandparents. For reference i'm in my mid 20s and both of my grandfathers served in WWII. I only have my grandma left who is 96-98 and across the country from me in a retirement home. I can't see my grandparents in my fiance's grandparents because they are just now hitting their 70s while most of my aunts and uncles are already in their 70s. My fiance and I love to watch these videos because you're the closest representation of my grandma that I have. Your cooking videos remind me so much of being taught how to cook by my grandma and grandpa before they passed. I love hearing stories and fond memories and these videos help fill in what I never got to hear from my grandparents that passed when I was 12.

Yes you do remain me of my grandma we called her Nanny, she was my fathers mother. she was the only grandma I was close to . My sisters and I would take a greyhound bus to her home in Eastern California near Palm Spring all by ourselves no parents, I think the bus driver would keep a eye on us I'm guessing. It. was lots of fun staying at her home. thank you for sharing your stories.

My heart is sad for you not knowing your grandma. I'm the oldest of 5 grandchildren (age 31, the others are 17 and younger) My grandma is 82, and my grandfather, my best friend in life, passed at age 86 in 2022. Through my grief, what always saddens me the most is that my cousins and sister never experienced our grandparent's in their younger, healthier years like I was blessed with. I share stories with them, like your siblings did with you, to keep his memory alive in the next generation. Much love, Rebekka

Granny Pat you do remind me of my Grandma and that is a good thing. Watching you brings back memories of her. Especially when you cook. I’ve always said she’s in heaven teaching the angels how to cook.
I like the colors in your shirt. Looks good on you.
Thanks for telling us about Billy Gene. He is a good guy & I enjoy watching him.

Unfortunately, she passed when I was 3-4. I’d like to think she was like you, always sharing stories and experiences. Thank you for all you do, Granny Pat. 🤍
