Now I know what is going to be dessert this coming Sunday after church. Great for Memorial Day weekend. I hope everyone takes a moment to remember all of the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for us. My brother was one of them. He was killed in action in Viet Nam on February 7, 1968.

I am one of 8 kids in my family, 6 girls and 2 boys. My mother always said it's all right to have a favourite child but you must never let any of them know, they should all believe they hold that spot. This video is so well done, I love the recipe and I love the chit chat. I also think your mom is watching you make banana pudding and wishing she had jello brand to cut that step down a bit.

I so appreciate the time you took to make your banana pudding on your stove. My mom always did it that way, but I’m afraid I get in a hurry and just cook it in the microwave. You inspired me to take my time and use my stovetop. 😉 I also like your recipe of adding the egg yolks. And your mama’s bowl is beautiful and perfect for the pudding! 🥰

Well, now you’ve done it….I just added bananas and Nilla wafers to this week’s grocery list…decided it’s time to surprise my husband with a banana pudding…his favorite dessert…It’s definitely been a while, too…we don’t eat much sugar or carbs in general anymore, so this will definitely be a huge splurge and cheat for us…but what the heck…life is too short not to indulge every once in awhile. I have always used the recipe on the Nilla wafer box. I might try your way though, just to say I did…!!! LOVE ALL THAT YOU SHARE…!!!!!!!!!

I am hungry now for banana pudding! That looks delicious! I don’t like the film on pudding either. We call it the “skin”- yuck! My mother used to like it, especially from chocolate pudding. She used to make her pudding from scratch occasionally, but only if she was in the mood for pudding and didn’t have any jello packets, lol. I think cooked pudding tastes better. Probably because it doesn’t have whatever they add to make it “instant “. She used to make cream puffs from scratch too. Chocolate filling was my favorite. Thanks for another sweet video. ❤

Thanks, lol.😊 I had the same experiance with a cap coming off of my liquid coffee creamer. I thought i had finally found it all and was satisfied enough to quit lookin but A few weeks later we decided on rootbeer floats so i pulled the rootbeer off the rolling cart and there was some kind of dried crackly stuff in streaks down the sides of the bottle. Now mind You,we have 4 rescue cats and 2, alltho fixed, occasionally pee on things...So my first thought was "OMG What is WRONG with the poor cat"?!😅 It took me a few minutes of wiping down the bottle to realize that it was just hazelnut creamer & the cat was probably just fine😂

I used to cook a roast for Sunday lunch. It made lunch easy when I went to Sunday school and preaching . I made my banana pudding when I got home sometimes I put a can of crushed pineapple in my pudding then I just layered vanilla wafers and the pudding. My mother made a dessert with her meals and did this I guess for a change since I really like pineapple I enjoy making this.

Since you mention dressing. My grandma on my mom side. She use regular cornbread. She put in a pot water to boil. She chopped up green pepper, celery and onions, she put them in the pot of water to boil with salt not too salty yet to taste the salt until tender or soft. When the corn bread is done cooking. She take the pot with the chopped celery onion and green bell pepper and mix it with it in a big bowl and mix it crumbling up the bread. Put it in a bake pan perhaps same one She cooked the corn bread. She put back in oven at 350 degree until cooked like golden brown. She at times add gizzard mix, or even turkey neck.

This bowl shows no pattern name. It may have been a dish that was not part of a set of china. My mother had it many years. It has a fine line crack on one side, but I love it for its memories. I am sure you can find a large bowl somewhere just as pretty. Many estate sales carry odds and ends of china that are not part of a set. Don’t overlook the thrift shops.
