My grandparents had a mountain spring, and you’re right…best tasting water there is, and COLD! They put watermelons in there, too! When Grandma died, I got the white painted hutch from the kitchen. I asked Mom why there was a large round spot (about the size of a plate) on the left side of its countertop where the wood was punky, and she said, “That’s where we kept the water bucket!” I love that hutch, and that bit of history about the punky wood is wonderful to know.
Dear Granny. I was so lucky to be with Mom untill she went to Heaven. She never Complained. Just hard work. To get thru life. She was my Angel. Like you!
My MawMaw was raised the same way at the same time under the same circumstances. After she had to quit school, she got to go to the library whenever she could. She always talked about reading with a dictionary right beside her. In the end, she had the linguistic, oratory, and comprehension skills of more than most well-educated men of the era.❤ She lived to be 2 days shy of 104.
You’ve told us a very sacred story. Your mom had great character and strength, and she was very beautiful. Such sweetness you’ve shared. Thank you Pat.
I truly enjoyed hearing about your mama. I look forward to hearing the rest of her story. I don’t mind you getting emotional. It seems natural to me. My mama died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 54. I found out on October 16, 1989, that I was pregnant with our first daughter. Mama passed 5 days later. I was devastated. My whole life she taught me how to be a good wife and mother. We lived 3.5. miles from her. We were still building our house when she died. The day we received our new cabinets, I was so excited, I tried to call her! About three rings of the telephone it came to me that she was not going to answer my call. Our daughter, Sarah Jane ( Mama’s name was Mary Jane) was born May 26, 1990. Mama’s birthday was May 24, 1935. She would have been thrilled to share a birthday with her new granddaughter. Keep sharing your stories, Granny Pat. As I said, I thoroughly enjoy them. I don’t care if they are long. I listen to the end. ❤️
Me too. I listen to the end. I lost my mom to leukemia in 1999. She, too, was 54. I had my boys in 1989 and 1990. They know her and love her deeply. For that, I'm grateful. Thank you again, Granny Pat.
I loved hearing about your Mom. My mom's birthday is January 31. She would be 92. She passed Jan 19th in 1992 at the age of 59. I miss her so much, so thankful for her. She was a godly, wonderful, hard working mother. She taught me and my 3 sisters so much. Thank you for sharing your stories ❤️
Oh Pat, I could listen to you tell these stories all day long..Thank you so very much for sharing this! I can’t wait to listen to more. Your mother was a beautiful woman, beautiful taste in clothing too. Here’s to you Molly Elizabeth ❤ Happy Belated Heavenly Birthday One day Pat, you will run to her once again and never have to say goodbye XO What a
Granny Pat, I enjoy listening about your Mother and family. If this video had been 3 hours long, I’d still be listening. Please make a part 2 of your Mother. The hand bag you put the pins on is beautiful! Happy heavenly birthday to your beautiful Mother ❤️🙏
Hey Granny Pat, your story took me back to Mamaws little house where I called home. I stayed with her and Grandad, my baby brother and I, every chance we got. My brother was my Granddad favorite and I, Mamaws. Mamaw (pronounced Mow, sound like cow and maw),would sit in her chair and darn socks to make extra money while she told us of the good 'ol days that weren't so good compared to that days time. Grandad was a tall handsome man, naturally quiet and Mamaw, short, beautiful and spunky. They were sharecroppers and hard workers. I ask Mamaw one time, "Mamaw, how did y'all make it through the depression?" She said, "youngin, we didn't even know it was going on." I never grasp the true severity of that statement til decades later as I sat and thought about the precious times we were blessed with these two wonderful people and realized their life was hard work, dealing with hardships and overcoming one adversity after another. I think the kids of these days take for granted the things they have, what they get to do and with little to no effort in acquiring "stuff". Thank you for sharing your family history. It went hand in hand of my Grandparents lives. 😢 With all the hardships, the good times were celebrated with great energy and thankfulness to God. Have a blessed night Granny Pat. Today is my Mothers birthday and cherish all our time spent together. Love and hugs Granny Pat and may God bless you with the sweetest of dreams.
Oh Granny Pat- my birthday is Jan 25. And my mom died 4 yrs ago on my birthday. What a day. You looked beautiful today! Thank you for sharing your story about your mom. Wonderful. 💐🌺✝️
What a wonderful story you've shared with us. I wanted to hear more. Your Mother was a very very pretty lady! She looked great after having all those children too. What a beautiful painting....just beautiful. I hope we get to hear more about her and your family.
Rainy day story to warm our hearts. God Bless your Mother, and you! She had to be special! You are the kindest woman to share her life with us. Thanks Pat. ♥️💯🙋♀️
I pray you outlive your mama! I’m greedy and I love your stories! ❤ Your mama was absolutely stunning! I can’t believe that waistline after all the children she had! I would love to hear more about the stove you mentioned! I wonder if it was as wonderful as your Tappan Range? ❤️ The Tappan Range story is definitely one of my top 5 of your stories! I’ll have to go back and listen to it again. 😊 You look fabulous, btw! Always a pleasure seeing you. ❤️

Dearest Miss Pat, I lost my Beloved Mother 15 years ago, and I miss her each and every day of my life she was so caring, loving, loyal nurturing, trusting, devoted, she was just 77 years old when God took her back home, I miss our friendship, relationship, her back rubs, her advice, her meals, She was Lovley both outside and also inside, I don’t recall her ever speaking badly of anyone, she often told me stories of her time growing up in Old Washington D.C, she enjoyed her childhood and her time in school.
I'm not sure how to search for that medicinal oil you mentioned. I see Japan oil but it's just referring to actual Japan, the country. One thing that popped up, seemingly random, was Opium. If that were it, that make a lot of sense to keep it close/hidden. I'm very curious. You always share such fascinating stories and I really love the older ones bc so much has already been lost in time. I feel like my generation (X Gen) are the last ones with any tie to or interest in the historical information. In a way it's kind of like those who are still around of a certain age, should be cared for like an historic landmark or artifact would be with reverence and priority to preserve all the secrets and experiences held within. It's scary to think how things will be when my gen is the last of the American remnant of history and changes. Your videos should be highly protected (backed up). Even though there are others your age or older, they may not be able to remember it all and even if they do, they aren't sharing it so much. I'm going on a tangent, lol. Thank you for sharing all the stories with us as if we were your heritage...maybe we are in a way.☺️♥️
Gosh I cried right along with you. Loved this story. I Remember Mama was one of the best movies. My Momma and me used to watch it. Thank you Granny Pat
Thank you so much. Your stories of your Momma touch my heart. My Momma was my best friend and she’s been gone 22 yrs and I still miss her something terrible. I still wake up in tears because I’ve dreamt of her and my heart still longs for her so bad. I will miss her until the good Lord reunites us again. Again thank you for blessing us with your beautiful memories 🩷
Reaching out to you sweet GP; feel my arms around you. You are an amazing woman. Thank you Molly Elizabeth for giving us Patricia. Your memory lives on and on through the gift of storytelling. ❤🐝fromCO
Granny Pat such a beautiful heartwarming story about your precious momma. She was a real beauty indeed what a beautiful picture of her. Just love listening to you thank you Pat
Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!!! Absolutely beautiful stories talking about your beautiful mom!! I can no longer read because my eyesight is poor and I certainly enjoy your stories. Your mom was so beautiful woman and so are you. I would give anything to have the gorgeous skin that you've got. You are very special friend to me and I enjoy your time and conversations.
Awesome storie it get next to the heart . And I love how you tell how she grew up in the old years and when she married your Daddy so romantic. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story..😊
Happy Heavenly Birthday to your Mother. Molly Elizabeth…very pretty name indeed. Our Mothers are the most special people in the world to us. Thank You for sharing your Mother with us. I really loved the dresses she wore. I am very impressed you still have a couple of them. I’m glad you still hold your memories close to your heart. I use to have a best friend in high school with the last name Estep. I wish I could be best friends with her today. As I’ve aged it’s been hard for me to keep in touch with friends. Life just gets in the way, and I’m not as social as I use to be. However, she is the one I will always miss the most. You take care Granny Pat…I’ll be looking forward to the next video. 👍🙋🏻♀️✌️🌹
Happy Heavenly Birthday to your Momma, Ms Molly Elizabeth! Thank you so much for sharing such a personal and bittersweet piece of your mother's life/legacy with us. I understand that this wasn't but a scratch in the surface of the life she lived, but I wish there were more of the story. I long for the stories told by my grandparents who were born in your generation The photos and belongings are not only irreplaceable, they are a part of her, and also a part of you. I find it beautiful that you saved such intimate pieces of her, all these years. I may not have known her, but its beyond words that i can find to describe how lucky you were to not only share such a closeness with her, but to still have treasures that youve found ways to preserve with such great loving care over all these years. I absolutely adore the fact that you take the time to vlog your stories.I pray that your stories will also live on for many many generations to come..Thank you for making my day brighter, Ms Pat✨️💛 I truly enjoyed this story, and many others youve told. May God bless you always. You will see your mother again and when that day comes, know that peace and love will be yours eternally as you will never again have to say goodbye. Sending love and light from the hills of the East Tennessee Mountains ❤
You spoke from the heart and I felt like I knew your mother. You are a strong and kind person like her,she did a good job raising her whole family and look forward to the next video. Also she was beautiful,in the picture on the wall,it looks like a beam of light shining down on her.
Thank you so much for sharing your Mama with the world. I loved listening about her life’s journey. One of my favourite things was seeing her dresses. So many of the photos of the time were black and white so we never get to see the patterns and beautiful colours. 🩷
My birthday is January 25 also, so pleased to know I share that date with your wonderful Mama, Granny Pat. Thank you so much for sharing your interesting stories especially this special tribute to your endearing Mama. I ♥️ those movies I Remember Mama & Meet Me In St Louis. I’m so sorry your Mama had to go through the pain of losing her 2 yr old little girl…no parent should ever have to bury their child. ♥️ from Texas ⭐️
You have a pretty mother. My mom was 63 when she passed in 2002. I’ve heard stories from my mom and a few from my Dad, My Dad is 87 my mom would be if alive today 85. I have great memories growing up, I love stories like you tell. You’re a great storyteller of your child hood and stuff.
You are so precious to so many of us 🌸💞🎉♥️. You are Americas mom /grandma ♥️🥰. Thank you so much for sharing your life and stories. I watch you every day. Your voice is so calming and easy to listen to. Keep being you and don’t rush yourself. It’s ok if you miss a day or more. We will always keep you close. You have the best memory in all the land 💞♥️💖. You are such a blessing 🥰💞🌸💖
Rain, rain, rain here in upstate New York too ☔️, perfect time for one of your stories and touched me to my soul. My mom turned 86 last week and I have cared for her for six years as she has Alzheimer’s. Some days are so difficult and exhausting but you gave me a renewed strength reminding me that I’m blessed to still have her. Though her memory is about gone, the love inside never fades. My dad was a fisherman all his life in his free time and used to look up at the sky and say that saying, red sky at night, sailor’s delight, red sky in the mornin, sailor’s take warning and lived by that for fishing. Every time I look in the sky I think of my dad saying that. This one had to be hard for you but please know that it really touched my heart. Your momma sounds like an amazing woman and such a strong woman to have gone through so much and raised such a wonderful family❤. You’re right, my mom can sure be cantankerous too 😂
Granny Pat, love that top with those glasses, they look fabulous on you, now back to hear your story about your dear sweet momma.❤my mom was 90 when she left this world 11 years ago. There were 12 siblings and my momma was the oldest girl, my grandma made her leave school to help with the kids, she was in the 3rd grade. I loved hearing her stories from her childhood.🥰 I remember my grandma when it was that time of the month, we had no money for a heating pad, she would take a homemade flour tortilla she had made and heat it up and put it in dish towel and put it on my tummy, she did this for me throughout the day using the same tortilla till after so many re-heats it turned crispy. 😂
Hi Granny Pat! I enjoyed your beautiful video about your mother. I know you cherish each memory you shared. I remember ladies wearing similar flowered dresses. Years ago they saved their hair and I like the way you have your mother's hair preserved. Hearing you speak of what your mother was all about one can see " the apple did not fall far from the tree" after getting to know you. Nancy from IN ❤.
I love your stories, wish I had a mom one to tell. You mention things that bring a memory to me anyway! Like the Kalamazoo stove!! When I was first married [1968] we rented an old farmhouse. It was furnished with beautiful old furniture..and in the kitchen was a beautiful shiny Kalamazoo stove! I had never seen anything like it. I thought how am I going to cook on this? Wood burning on one side but it had gas burners on the other side, I cooked our first Thanksgiving dinner in the little oven that was on the left top side. It had beautiful enamel handles but this one had on and off!! It turned out perfect! I like to tell stories too but also love to listen.
Hey Granny Pat! Your Mom was beautiful! She was obviously a tough cookie to have survived everything she did! The pink flowered dress was so pretty, I can imagine it on her. I love your new hairstyle. Very becoming on you. Your stories are special. I could listen for hrs to your stories. I will think about your Mama in Heaven tomorrow. Love you, Grammy Texas
This story reminds me of the Gospel song by the great Gospel singer Shirley Caesar called "I Remember Mama". Such a heartfelt tearjerker. You've got a subscriber in me!
Thank you ever so much !! What a very interesting story !! Thank you for showing the purses and dresses !! I love listening to you tell about your mother!!
What a beautiful story Granny Pat. I also think she had a splendid name. I love it. It is wonderful you still honor her on her birthday. I just love listening to you talk about anything. I look daily to see if one of your videos have been downloaded. I know your mother would be so proud of you. Look at all the things you have accomplished. Imagine if she knew her baby girl had 31.4k people and growing who eagerly awaited for her to tell another story. I just know she would be amazed. She raised an intelligent, funny, empathetic, industrious, etc. I for one am extremely greatful she raised such an outstanding woman. You make my life better just by being you. Thank you for that. Happy birthday to Molly Elizibeth! Thanks for giving us all Granny Pat!
Very sweet video. Beautiful mom. Absolutely beautiful dress and accessories. Loving your bags. They’re beautiful. 🩷🫶🙏✝️💋⭐️😊 thanks so much for sharing. Your blouse, earrings and glasses are so pretty. So neat your mom’s hair. Very special. Her dresses are beautiful. My mom and I talk about past outfits are making a comeback. So nice. 👠🥿👗👜👓👛
You look beautiful. Your mother was beautiful, too. I love listening to your stories. Thank you for sharing them. My daughter's birthday is January 24.
My wife and I just finished watching this video. What a beautiful and poignant way to honor your mother. You have a great way of telling a story so that we can envision everything you are speaking of. Thank you for introducing us to your mom.
Hello Pat. This video was such a beautiful tribute to your dear Mother. You would have made the best History Teacher. But now you are a History Teacher to us, your fans. Your Mother was a very special lady. I love seeing you when you get emotional. It's the most beautiful side of you. I almost flipped when you showed the purse that you sewed the embellishments on. That project is on my bucket list. But I don't know if I could ever make one as beautiful as yours. You definitely are extremely talented when it comes to creativity. That purse is one of the most beautiful things my eyes have ever seen. I loved the other purse, the dresses, etc. Thank you for sharing. Thank God for sending you my way. You are the icing on my cake. Keep on doing what you do. We are better people because of you. That sounds like a Dr. Suess Poem. LOL There's a new book for you to write. Love you Pat. Have a beautiful day with the memories of your beautiful Mother. Shirley from PA
I hope you do live another 50 years. I'm 67 now and I plan to have a big bash when I'm 100. I want you to be the guest speaker. Everyone will line up for your autograph. Wouldn't that be fun. All the guests are required to buy and wear one of your shirts. It's something to shoot for. @@chitchatwithgrannypat7900

Hello Granny Pat, I enjoyed your story about your mother and family....made me think of my own mother. Now we know where your beauty came from.....your Mother was BEAUTIFUL!!
That was a beautiful story Pat. I hope you will continue the story, I know there is a lot left to cover. That painting is stunning! You have so many beautiful treasures but I think the stories are the most beautiful of all. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I had a wonderful family but I did not get any of the stories that you got. You were very blessed to get those. My parents didn’t seem interested in talking about the past. I don’t know why….February 2nd is my father’s 100th birthday! I can’t believe it. He died in 2004. So did my mother.
Happy heavenly birthday to your mama, Grandma Pat. Your love for her is deep. You have done her a great honor sharing her story with us. I'm sure she would be so proud. Sending hugs and warm thoughts to you on this special day.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 I would do the same with my mom. She passed 3 years ago and I miss her so, so much. You and I were so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful moms! I hope you have a great day!
Thanks for a heartfelt remembrance of a great Mother. There is quite a similarity in your story with my maternal grandmother. She eloped at age 15 when my grandfather picked her up from school in a horse and buggy. They had 9 children and struggled to provide for them. But they all loved each other dearly.
Pat these stories should be in the library of congress. Thanks so much for sharing!

Happy Heavenly Birthday to your Momma,
Ms Molly Elizabeth!
Wonderful writing @ TN Tea 🤗
I agree with your words.💯 Thanks to Gran Pat for sharing 🎉
What an amazing story, granny Pat, when you tell a story, it is just like we are there
Beautiful in every way.
LOVE the picture and purses!💜
You have a pretty mother.
My mom was 63 when she passed in 2002.
I’ve heard stories from my mom and a few from my Dad,
My Dad is 87 my mom would be if alive today 85.
I have great memories growing up,
I love stories like you tell.
You’re a great storyteller of your child hood and stuff.
Wonderful to listen too Thankyou
You’re right, my mom can sure be cantankerous too 😂
Thank you for sharing your Mother’s story. Glad you had her for so many years. I will be 84 in March….. where did all those years go…
Bless you 💕🙏💕
I REMEMBER MAMA 😊
Good story!
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 thank you, you made me remember that❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your Mom with us all. What a special daughter you are but you had a great Mother to teach you. I can’t wait to hear more. ❤
Happy bday to your momma.❤
Hi Granny Pat! I enjoyed your beautiful video about your mother. I know you cherish each memory you shared. I remember ladies wearing similar flowered dresses. Years ago they saved their hair and I like the way you have your mother's hair preserved. Hearing you speak of what your mother was all about one can see " the apple did not fall far from the tree" after getting to know you. Nancy from IN ❤.
Your mother can be very proud of you darling Pat. ❤️❤️❤️
What a special video. Loved every moment.carson in Ohio.💕🙏
🙏🤗❤️Granny Pat…That is one of my favorite movies…I love to watch it time after time
You have such soothing voice. I could listen abd listen again.❤❤❤
You look beautiful tonight Granny Pat .. I enjoyed the story of your wonderful Mother ❤️ Happy Birthday to your Mom
What a way to cerebrate your moms birthday; telling and sharing stories and memories of her. ❤🌺

Love the painting of your mother ❤️ love your stories..

I so enjoyed this story about your mother. My mother and I watched "I Remember Mama" together many times.
You look extra beautiful today 🎉❤
I’ll have to live another 50 years to conjure up some stories!
I replied buy it's not showing up. Oh well. I hope you do live another 50 years. I would love that. We definitely need you around. @@chitchatwithgrannypat7900
I so enjoyed this story...you have a great story telling ability,
Hello Granny Pat, I enjoyed your story about your mother and family....made me think of my own mother.
Think about it - the stories will come.
Happy heavenly birthday to your mama, Grandma Pat. Your love for her is deep. You have done her a great honor sharing her story with us. I'm sure she would be so proud. Sending hugs and warm thoughts to you on this special day.
She liked when I would stay in the kitchen and listen to her stories while she cooked supper.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your mom's story. Happy Birthday Pat's Mom!
You have kept me so into your story that it just seemed like a few minutes. You are just wonderful.
That style of material and design are sought out today. In vintage stores...
