Pakistan has been recognised as a Global Leader for protecting environment and battling climate change and is honoured to host the World Environment Day.
With PM Imran Khan's vision for conserving the nature, Pakistan is planting 10 billion trees, in the largest ever tree plantation drive in the history of Pakistan.
Through its nature conservation efforts Pakistan has also created employment opportunities for over 85,000 people during covid.

He's planting them for people who you don't remember or even know exist, while you sit in your comfortable homes with enough time and means to post bad comments on the internet on your smart phones.

This is a wonderful initiative of the PMIK. I am a plant scientist and I am working for the conservation of nature and natural resources especially in the capital territory of Islamabad. we have planted many plants at Margalla hills in the last 2 years. one of the key factors which we have noticed is that Planting a Plant is not a Big Deal but Adopting a Plant is really needed. I request the concerned departments @Ministry of Climate change and Forestry Department of Pakistan to make sure the Adaptation of these plants too.
