- For this series, I have a bunch of wadcutter molds to share in 38, 41, 44 and 45 Colt. In this episode I am working with the Ideal one-cavity 358425.
No actual casting sequences are depicted in this video.
Thank you Walter

Nice looking group Walter
@@ChrisFromThe740 thanks, Chris! 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Good stuff Walter, doing some loading of 148gn with some Titegroup for plinking while watching you. Doesn't get much better.
@@lens7859 hi Len! 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Excellent! I expected it to shoot low, but that weapon with your shooting, put em in pretty tight.👍
Still wrestling with Rumble. I'm having fits trying to sign in even though I have an account. Just not a computer type.
But back to the topic. Interesting little bullet. By appearance I presume it casts well. And it sure responds well to the classic 2.8gr BE!👍
Stay safe and enjoy your Christmas!
Thanks, Ranger. I wish I could help you with Rumble. Maybe try googling ‘#wadcutterwednesday” and see if that gets you to my rumble channel. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
A great mold for nice clean-cutting bullets.

Walted can you measure the cylinder you had sitting on the bench , specifically the distance from center pin center to center of cylinder bore and center to center of cylinder bores .
@@tacticalrabbit308 hi M1. That would be a difficult measurement for me to do accurately. What do have in mind for such a measurement?
@viejo2a I made a thing for pushing out empty cases for my black hawk revolver have a pin for the center hole and six others for the cylinder bores . Wondered if yours was close to what mine is .
@@tacticalrabbit308hmm. I can’t think of a good way to locate the exact centers in order to measure with my calipers. It would just be an ‘eyeball guess’, and the result may not have much meaning. I may be missing the entire point though. I just use the ejector rod on this gun as well as my 357 blackhawk to remove the spent cases. Are you having to remove the entire cylinder first? Stuck cases?
@viejo2a I pull the center rod and remove the cylinder, then put it on my device and remove all six empties at once, I feel its fast than pushing them out one at a time.
@viejo2a and if yours is a rugar Blackhawk then it's the same as mine so I would not need measurements
Really getting me thinking about a revolver! Haven't shot one since Jamie came down about a year ago and let me shoot his. Really enjoyed the video. Hey Mr. Bunning that range is gorgeous great setting for shooting!
@@BamaDad hiya, Bama! I really enjoy the revolvers. No chasing brass, either! 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
That's interesting, just checked the Lee book, and for a 148 gn it shows Bullseye 2.7 to 3.1 gn. For such a lighter bullet compared to the 148 what speeds do you think you got ? I think I may ask Santa for a garmin crono. Would love to start to measure my loads. Never mind, you answered me as I was typing. shows 713-799, and I would have bet yours would have been faster ?? Have a lot to learn with this stuff.
@@lens7859 remember that NONE of the data in the Lee book is for my bullet, nor likely for any of the other 15-some odd 38 wadcutters I have. Lee gets their data from other varied sources, and doesn’t tell you what bullets their data is for. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
hey Walter, where do we donate to the channel to keep you going? do you have a Patreon or "buy me a coffee" account? I heard they are coming out with a "send me some bourbon" web site. That is a major innovation I say.
@@Ruteger100 Hi, Ruteger. Thanks. I have no such pathway for donations. I prefer it this way. I do appreciate your offer of generosity, but it’s not necessary at all. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
