This was my first Sprint Enduro and needless to say it won’t be my last! I had a ton of fun, this was the Wild Bill Sprint Enduro in Battle Creek, Michigan!
This video slipped by me. Looked like a fun race, the moto track looked super fun! I've been to battle creek probably about 30 years ago racing motocross. Good job!
Was on the fence on whether to come up there or go to NC to race that weekend. My wife and I went to NC (we're from PA). I just had an urge to race after 12 years. Haven't ever done a sprint enduro before. Tests looked fun. Nice job!
great riding, your bike is set up nice, really allows you to hold line and charge ahead. Felt like mine was deflecting too much. Regardless, super fun time, good hanging out again
You can find them on the District14 website. The race season is over now but they will have the 2023 season up shortly. Definitely try it they’re a blast!
Do you know the name of the mx track that part of the race took place on? This looks alot of fun. I'm considering trying out a sprint Enduro event like this next year!
I’m going B40 next year. If I were you I would race hare Scramble’s and try sprint enduro format! If your like me you get addicted quickly it’s more about the friendships you’ll make and good times than just the racing!
Nice work! I feel the 250FX feels less tiring racing in this type of terrain. Any thoughts? BTW liked "Hey, that's Mike.....damn"😁 Keep up the great work!
Both are challenging in their own ways, but sprint enduro would be a little easier only because you get a break in between tests. A hare scramble is 2hrs plus one lap non-stop and gets brutal depending on your conditioning.
@Captain #250# FX I was originally looking at the sherco 300 sef but now the yamaha yz250fx is getting my attention. From what I'm reading the sherco is better for tight trails/hard enduro and the yamaha is better for faster flowy trails. What bike would you say is a better all around bike for MI riding? The yamaha being $3k less is definitely a plus.
@@ryanbelanger4932 the FX for Michigan for sure! The build quality of the yz is far better also. I’m on a Sherco page and they have some gremlins, the yz is more reliable and bulletproof. I’ve wanted to try other bikes but keep going yzfx because you just can’t get a better bike as far as reliability goes.
@@ryanbelanger4932 a guy I race with has one, it’s solid. But what makes the FX better in my opinion is the transmission and the power tuner app. FX has a wide ratio 6 speed which is amazing off road racing and trail riding where the Honda has basically a moto trans. Also you can do a lot with the tuner app for the Yamaha that can’t be done on the Honda. Honda is a solid bike, but just not as advanced as the FX.

You went over top of me on the bridge and made the pass on me there like you said in voice over
Nice! What a great layout, Battle Creek was great!
The racing is making you faster. Looked like an awesome venue. Congrats on 3rd!
Thanks Donnie! Racing this season has definitely been what I’ve needed! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Bart! Battle Creek has a great setup!
Dude great work and finish on the podium! Cool to finally get a chance to talk for a few minutes yesterday.
Heck yeah, see you next year hopefully!
This is awesome! I'm inspired. Great work on the bike and the camera.
Thanks Connor!
Great stuff dude. I also enjoy the sprint enduro races. Keep rippin.👍
Thanks buddy!
Great race. You couldn’t have ask for better weather. Nice going snagging 3 place.
Thanks 🙏🏽
Nice work!! Great seeing you and I’ll for sure be doing more racing next year as well.
Nice seeing you too!

That was a great time and nice to finally see you again! Tomorrow I’ll have a short 5 minute video from my GoPro on my rear fender, your in the video.
Nice video! Where do you find these races? I’m in michigan and new to the bike world up here. Thanks in advance!

Yes, this was at Battle Creek MX in Battle Creek, Michigan.
What class are you racing in next year? I’ve been considering racing hare scrambles.

Thanks for watching! Yes this bike is tailored made for Michigan racing/single track! Especially now you can tune out the engine braking, love it!
Great video! Is 3rd your best finish so far? The audio also seems way better than before great job and thanks
Thanks 🙏🏽 yes this was my best finish of the season! I’m using the same microphone maybe I was just talking louder? Thanks for watching!
Is it an average time of the 4 runs or your best time?
All your runs combined. Lowest total time is what you want.
What would you recommend for someone new to trail racing, the sprint enduros or hare scrambles?
Both are challenging in their own ways, but sprint enduro would be a little easier only because you get a break in between tests. A hare scramble is 2hrs plus one lap non-stop and gets brutal depending on your conditioning.

@@Captain250FX have you looked into the Honda 250RX at all?

Moto track is about 1.5 miles long. Making it about 2.5 miles of woods.
Thanks for the info. I will definitely do these Sprints next year, great course layouts and just a great time in general! Thanks for your hard work!
