    Thanks for sharing this. I just got my first dirt bike ever this year. I have only rode cedar creek so far. I actually watched that video before I went. I think I’ll try this one next.

    Cool video! So I just bought one of the big pigs, Honda xr650l, and although I have lots of training and experience on road bikes, off-roading/dual sport is going to be a new adventure. Do you have any suggestions on where to ride to get my feet wet? I’m in west Michigan, Kent county, and I know this loop is fairly close, just curious if you had any suggestions, and thank you. Good job on the video, keep up the good work!

      Thanks for watching. With that big of a bike I would say stick to any of the 50 inch trails for awhile. 50 inch trails are pretty easy.

    Very nice trail. I can't get over the lack of rocks compared to PA.

      Search Moon Rocks, that's where the rock is. The U.P. Is full of rock.

      I don’t think this trail gets groomed, I’ve never noticed it being touched.

    Hello, I'm planning a ride with my son and trying to extend the ride as long as we can on fuel. Do you know or did you track how many miles it is leaving the campground going south on the trail to get to Ruby Creek Store for fuel? I'm familiar with the area and know the road routes. Just never took the trail all the way over to the store.

    • @Captain250FX
      @Captain250FX  3 месяца назад +1

      From the campground to the store is not far at all. I'm not sure miles but it's not more than 5-7 miles tops.

    I heared a guy took it upon himself to drag the whoops out of Horseshoe. You should check it out.

      Been meaning too. I was to busy last weekend, I couldn’t even ride. My plan was either Horseshoe or Holton. Hopefully I can ride something this weekend.

    Looks like a great place to ride. So you no longer need a license plate from mi. And be street legal To ride the bigO ? Just the off road stickers ? When did they change that. And the head and tail light of course or amber not.

    • @Captain250FX
      @Captain250FX  Год назад +4

      All the surrounding counties are open to ORV now. You only need to be plated to get out on US10. You can do about 40 miles of the Big O without a plate.

    Looks like heaven to me how far to missisippi?

  • @bhalls100
    @bhalls100 Год назад +1

    So are just the orv license and trail pass all that's needed to ride big o?

    • @Captain250FX
      @Captain250FX  Год назад +2

      The Big O you also need a headlight and taillight for the few road sections. But all future videos will require just the two stickers. Thanks for watching!

  • @ethanangstman-vd9cm
    @ethanangstman-vd9cm Год назад +1

    You are supposed to be plated also to ride Big O

    • @TheMrRyanV
      @TheMrRyanV Год назад +1

      DNR website states this trail only requires ORV permit and ORV trail. To access the MCCCT portion you are technically supposed to be plated to ride on the street- otherwise it’s 25 mph max on the shoulder.
