It appears to be Sheldon's spot only when Sheldon wants to sit there. It actually makes sense given that Sheldon presents logical reasons why he wants that spot. The proper temperature, view of the tv while still being able to give attention to people around him examples. So when he isn't occupying the spot, or wanting to, for those reasons, it makes sense that he doesn't care if they sit there. Since his reasons are based on logic rather than some kind of superstitious claim.
@@Logan_Baron It would not be superstitious if he feared his spot would get extra wear or if they somehow broke the cushings but I agree that it is pretty nice detail that it only matters when he needs it.
One episode had him say that he was gonna reinstall all of his linux-distros. But he doesn't seem to use them on a regular basis. Maybe he has some programs he needs for work that only works on Windows. Or it's simply product placement from Microsoft.
tut, tut, tut. sloppy writing; sheldon made a syntax fail. Penny: come on sheldon, you can't move. don't you need to stay in one place so the mothership can find you when it returns? sheldon: If that were only true. Epic fail from a man who doesn't allow himself to be wrong.
@frankthetank789, actually there really is a live audience for the studio scenes. Like this one. I'm not sure of they've always had audience but I know they do now.
It looks like nearly all supercomputing centres in the world didn't get the memo. You should try contacting them again, your mail probably got stuck in spam folder.
All you people bitching about how Sheldon's line isn't even funny probably never even saw the beginning of this episode. Their apartment got robbed and their computers were stolen. Also if you hate this show so much why are you even looking it up? And it's taped in front of a live studio audience. No the people (like myself) who've attended tapings weren't dreaming.
just listen to how consistent the laughs are. How the laughs happen randomly and stop even more randomly that's a laugh reel. Black Books is the only sitcom that I can think of that was actually filmed in front of an audience!
@cbernier3 Yes but only a really early beta and the version I had seemed to be stuck in view that's been on the internet so thanks for the correction it might be quite good then.
@steeleydan65 because they arent computer geeks :P plus their alienware laptops are the fastest you can get, and considering they would need all the research work they do at home to be easily moved to work, rather than sit there every day loading and unloading or organizing their files, its alot more hassle free :) plus when you do research you have access to supercomputers at your institute
if your very keen and dorky like me..you'd rather notice that he changed from HP XPS laptop to an Alienware laptop..i wonder if they get sponsorship for these items
i would love to watch all the programs i watch normally but without the auto laugh thing on them just to see if i have the intellectual ability to understand basic jokes
@Biggie1989 that's the wrong approach! Spray water on them instead of punching for more information on conditioning search for "how to control Penny, by Sheldon Cooper"
This episode happens after the episode when Raj and Sheldon are alone together and Sheldon ask Raj if he could help hem to install linux... this happens in E12S03- The psychic vortex. Coincidence? Propaganda? mmm...
Sheldon automatically rules out Nebraska 😂😂
Easily one of his top ten moments!
Love it
As a Nebraskan, I don’t blame him!!!
Yes bro i watched the clip thanks
Doesn't everyone?
"He's gonna telecommute. Everyone's really excited about it." XD
And now look at us, so many are also excited to work from home.
"My new computer came with Windows 7"
*audience bursts out laughing*
wtf??
The audience laughing is added way too much throughout the entire show
Brenda Ortiz it is a live audience
They can still add a laugh track despite having the live audience present
Alfred J.Singh what? no there's not
Vlad Bayard There is. It has been shown in clips as well as one of the pilot episodes.I think it was season 6 or 7 pilot.
lenin: "hello"
(AUDIENCE LAUGH)
And she looks at Leonard with the look on her face "Are you going to let him do that?"
anyone notice penny is in sheldon's spot?
Curtis Potter EVERYBODY.

Best Windows 7 Review Ever!
Penny looks at Lennard: You gonna let him talk to me like that?
Lennard: Don't! You will never win. And if u do it will never end!
friends had a live audience as does this. it's real laughter look at the bloopers they acknowledge the audience laughing several times
Penny, you're from Nebraska, right?
Born and raised!
(Draws a huge X)
"my new computer came with windows 7" *laughter from the audience*
"...much more user friendly than vista" *laughter*
WTF
I miss those days I wish I could go back then in time and relive all these years again having my present conciousness 🔙⏳
oh my god...sheldon is so the back bone of it....I can't imagine anyone else than Kim parsons to make him real and funny!!
When he crossed out North Carolina I was like "NO SHELDON!!!!! WE LOVE YOU HERE!!!!!!"
i'm surprised sheldon hasn't told penny to move out of his spot
Me too
@@niggawigga720 He doesn’t care until he wants to sit down himself.
Sheldon only says that because he hadn´t try Windows 8.... >< but he is going to suffer one day lol
I tell you he'll like it.
I still use Windows 8 😆
Sheldon should use Linux!
One episode had him say that he was gonna reinstall all of his linux-distros. But he doesn't seem to use them on a regular basis. Maybe he has some programs he needs for work that only works on Windows. Or it's simply product placement from Microsoft.
Linux system?? are you out of your mind????
@@lila2986 I forgot why I commented that lol, it's been 2 or so years. I think I was attempting to imitate Sheldon...
dude, just this once, I'd like to see Leonard consume a dairy product and see the reaction like Howard when he ate a peanut bar.
if you watch the bloopers, youll notice its a live audience :P always has been
Good luck convincing the buffoons it is. They can't even give your comment a like.
He should come to Singapore. lol
High-speed internet,
Very low crime rate,
all kinds of transportation shops.
I'm sick of seeing the advertisement for the Oscars!
The fact that he even considered Hampton, Virginia shows he may not in fact be that smart....
The show is recorded with a live studio audience, the laughter is by real people. Just see some more backstage clips.
AAAHHHHHHHH 1:09 penny is sitting at sheldons place!!!!
He didn't react because he was sitting else and had no need of his spot. He was in with desk chair!
They may not be as epic as Blackadder or Monty Python, but they sure as hell kick the crap out of pretty much every American sitcom.
I’m actually originally from one of the places Sheldon mentioned. Lol. Because one of the writers was born and raised there too.
LOL, he has Marquette, Michigan marked on the map. A great city. Come live with us Sheldon.
No mother ship would touch him with a 400 meter transporter !
Why?
Dear god that laughter....
I recall Sheldon did mentioned using Ubuntu Linux, mentioning that it was his favorite linux distro.
I find it funny how ppl wonder what episode this is when it shows you right above the comments
I'm from Nebraska, and I found this funny as hell!! XD
Apart from a few select exceptions - TBBT included - I agree with that thesis.
tut, tut, tut. sloppy writing; sheldon made a syntax fail.
Penny: come on sheldon, you can't move. don't you need to stay in one place so the mothership can find you when it returns?
sheldon: If that were only true.

Born and raised!
X
Have you seen the new season? I love it. Wish Penny had more funny scenes.
So great. TBBT used to be a great show....
okay, good point. However that way the laughs are just so damn consistent. It is easy to see how you could think that it was just a laugh reel!
too much unneeded laughter indeed
The computer must be like the owner...
People who dislike this must be from either Enid, Oklahoma, Boone, NC or Nebraska.
@frankthetank789, actually there really is a live audience for the studio scenes. Like this one. I'm not sure of they've always had audience but I know they do now.
British comedy peaked with the likes of Monty Python, NTNOCN and Blackadder. It's been a downhill slide ever since.
penny is at sheldon's spot
without a doubt!
The laugh track on this show is ridiculous.
It looks like nearly all supercomputing centres in the world didn't get the memo. You should try contacting them again, your mail probably got stuck in spam folder.
In the age of Jersey Shore and Honey Boo Boo, you should be thankful for The Big Bang Theory.
@JGJ1255 i'm from boone! guess i'm part of "the wrong croud" haha. love this scene.
well, we all know windows 7 was NOT Sheldon's idea xD
She's sitting in Sheldon's spot...
You know what, there's Railroad Museum of Ok at Enid.
How can such a place doesn't have a model train store.
penny is sitting in sheldons place
Sheldon! You're not alone. When I try to find a new place to live. I do exactly the same....
Lol he crossed off the whole damn state!
OUCH, biggest burn ever
For the record, Sheldon... Boone, NC doesn't have a model train store either :p
Jokes on them to this day am gladly using windows 7
LMFAO @ the guy who thinks it's a laugh track.HAHAHAHAHHAHA...oops sorry....ahhahahahahahha i mean oops sorry to much hahaha
@awokeN1337 No, it's definitely a m17x, on later episodes you see a numpad, m15xs don't have numpads
he has two operating systems like every geek in this planet: ubuntu (linux) and windows...
Sheldon: Penny you're from Nebraska, right?
Penny: Yeah
Sheldon: (X's out Nebraska)
XD LOL
just listen to how consistent the laughs are. How the laughs happen randomly and stop even more randomly that's a laugh reel. Black Books is the only sitcom that I can think of that was actually filmed in front of an audience!
they film it in the studio with a live audience
Completely agree. Windows is out and iPhone is white, shiny and full of apps...
@cbernier3 Yes but only a really early beta and the version I had seemed to be stuck in view that's been on the internet so thanks for the correction it might be quite good then.
BOONE!!!!! Represent
Sheldon: Penny, you're from Nebraska correct?
Penny: Born and raised!
*Sheldon puts a huge X over Nebraska*
I just realized... he has a marker on what should be Houghton Michigan...
Please don't, the audience would laugh so hard that the whole universe would collapse on it self, killing you and your aliens.
im from boone and had a friend in that play. its called horn in the west, check it out.
i like how he says 'boone'
its a laugh reel in case you didn't know do you think sit coms are actually filmed in front of a LIVE studio audience?
"My new computer came with windows 7." HAHAHAHAHAHA OMG CAN'T BREATHE
@steeleydan65 because they arent computer geeks :P plus their alienware laptops are the fastest you can get, and considering they would need all the research work they do at home to be easily moved to work, rather than sit there every day loading and unloading or organizing their files, its alot more hassle free :) plus when you do research you have access to supercomputers at your institute
HAHA I LOOVVEEEEEE BIG BANG!!!!!! BEST SHOW ON EARTH!
if your very keen and dorky like me..you'd rather notice that he changed from HP XPS laptop to an Alienware laptop..i wonder if they get sponsorship for these items
Hate to think of what he thinks of Windows 10!!
He says it on an Episode... and im pretty sure he uses Linux usually...
@VexonCross HAHAHAHA this is as funny as Charlie Sheen forgetting the name of his girlfriends.
Sheldon should try MS-DOS.
@Shralla It's not funny because Windows 7 is user friendly ,it's funny because Sheldon is a massive techno-snob.
@JGJ1255 hey that's insulting 4 Penny ! who doesn't love Penny?
@readinglts
It's his new computer. Most companies install Windows on the machines they sell.
That too!
I would do Penny twice without thinking.
he has linux... a real fan would know that...
Wasn't there was an episode where Sheldon was leaving & he told someone to get out of his spot?
its continuity errors one episode he said he uses ubuntu the other windows one he took out a whole stack of disk that im sure are linux distros
woahh,. banter! ¬
V
i would love to watch all the programs i watch normally but without the auto laugh thing on them just to see if i have the intellectual ability to understand basic jokes
Awww come on Sheldon! Come to Boone NC! hahaha
Ridiculous OTT canned laughter...
He HAD ubuntu. My guess is his old laptop had two OS in it. One where he could play games, and one for his geekiness. Before it got stolen. lol
@seb389 u mean jim parsons??
@Biggie1989 that's the wrong approach! Spray water on them instead of punching
for more information on conditioning search for "how to control Penny, by Sheldon Cooper"
Thumps up if you would do penny without thinking twice
