  • In this episode, Noel Salas with Surf n' Show surfs the TGSA Invitational surf contest at Waco Surf. A couple of Noel's favorite surfboards that could go to Waco Surf were the "Chili Hot Knife II, "Haydenshapes Holy Hypto," "Firewire Dominator 2," "Channel Islands Dumpster Diver 2," "Happy Everyday, Rusty Deuce, and more. What about a single fin? The single fin Modern "Sting" from Aipa Surfboards would definitely challenge Noel just for fun. The last potential board is a mystery board -- perhaps we will see that one later on. Fellow contestant Asa Cascavilla's favorite board for the contest was the "Chili Hot Knife II." He felt like that board was very similar to the "Black Vulture 2" but rode a bit more vertical. Zack Smith rode the Duke Aipa "Bonefish." He felt that surfboard in XTR10 was similar to his "Happy Everyday" but had another gear for speed.
    In the contest, Noel chose to ride the Aipa single fin "Sting" and shares his perspectives on where to place the fin on the board. Next he chose the "Rusty Deuce" paired with his HP Twin Fins then the Pivot Twin + Trailer fin set up for a quicker pivot. He decides to ride the "mystery board" in the final round and felt that board was crazy fast. Check out how the board rode. Finally, the "Super Nova" will be available this summer. Follow along to see how Noel places in the contest.
    Enjoy!!!

    That 360 was sick. That was the most stylish 360 ever man. And personally it looked like your connection started after that 360, not before.

    Congrats Noel on the win!! I was shocked by your board choices. I thought for sure you were going to use the Dominator 2, but I guess going with what felt the best was the correct call. Stoked for you. And the backside 360 looked amazing.

    New Aipa looks sick! I’m about to order my first Aipa, a Dark Twinn 2.0 in XTR. But when I need to update my smaller wave board, I’m for sure gonna keep my eye on that Supernova! Congrats on the comp win!

    Noel- You always rip on every board.. But that SuperNova looked especially spicy. Very fast, yet tons of hold on very tight turns. WOW- and congrats

    Noel , well done mate . You were ripping on all the boards . That single looks awesome but by far the new Duke 'supernova' looked 'in-synch' with you the most . Yew from PCS in Sydney Aus .

    All of my shortboards have been single fin for over a decade now. I feel like they perform better than thrusters. A friend of mine was shaping boards and talked me into trying it. He was not original though, check out ....Lost What's really Goin On the Archy part.

    Noel any plans on further extending the prepeg fins to the rest of your line of fins? Or maybe an FCS 2 option?

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  Месяц назад

      At the moment… maybe my 5 fingers set. So you will have my Neutral Thruster set and my Quad Rears in Future Base. No FCS at this time. We cannot click into FCSII boxes until their patent runs out. Sorry

    Looked ok on Single fin. But wouldn’t it be very stable , but then lack ability to slide tail when you want because it’s sits so deep in water ? Then on deuce ; looked sharp but little off on timing. Mystery Aipa board twin plus trailer was spot on. Congrats !

      I need a bit more time on the Single fin. I need to dial in fin position and maybe a smaller fin for the pool.

      They go good in the NB2 in Shoulder high and smaller surf. When the waves head high or bigger it’s too much speed and the board can slide out a bit.
