Hey, Looking for a daily driver type board, and I like the look of this, for the speed, carving, wide point slight forward from center. I'm 170lb only 5'7, volume 32-34 L. This would land at a 5'11''... How about ordering this with a swallow tail to add maneuverability for an oversized board length? Any thoughts?
I moved from Santa Cruz CA to Florida in 2020. None of my NorCal boards suited Florida. I had planned to buy a rocket wide for New Smyrna and Sebastian Florida but pulled the trigger on the BV2 mostly after watching your video 20 times analyzing it over and over. Recently learned surf station in Saint Augustine Florida uses your videos.

I also swapped out the twin 2+1 setups for a standard thruster and now surf it in everything with this set up. The board already had heaps of speed and didn’t need the twin set up

Cheers
Noel, Amazing reviews, the way you explain and break down all the caractistics is just great. Would you compare de BV2 with the Uber driver? if so could you explain? Thxxx.
The BV2 has a wider nose making it more of a hybrid design. The wider nose offers better paddling and more stability under your front foot. The Wide point might be bit forward on the BV2 which enhances carving. The UD has a performance board outline and it will offer sharper/tighter turns in the pocket compared to the BV2. In my opinion the BV2 is considerably faster compared to the UD and the BV2 is easier to shred.
Hey Noel! Love ya reviews. I’m deciding between this and the Rarest Bird, slightly different boards but have you ridden both and have a preference for 3-6ft waves?
The BV2 is versatile in Wave range great in 1-6’ surf with emphasis in 2-5’ surf. The No Brainer is really made for small mushy waves as it has very low rocker and struggles steep hollow waves. The BV2 shreds compared to the NB… no contest really.
Not really… The SpineTek actually has a spine (piece of material that feels similar to plastic) routed into the deck of the board for strength and quick rebound. These two technologies feel completely different from each other. They both feel good though… I’m a huge fan of EPS/Epoxy constructions for boards that are meant to excel in 1-5’ surf.
One board quiver shreds 1-6’ surf really well. Daily Driver is more of a performance board in sub par conditions but it’s not a Groveler. Daily Drivers are usually best in 3-6’ surf.
What's your opinion on BV2 vs Rocket Wide for grovelling? Particularly 1-3ft. Tied in with that, what do you think for twin tech vs spine tek for grovelling? I'm looking for a new San Diego summer slop board. Thanks!

The stock dims are too long for groveler volume wise
Order up a custom. Call the folks at Chilli to dial it in. The BV2 is mental. Just saying….
BV2 or Pyzalien 2?
Same question I had lol
Appears to have a restrictive release perhaps the buoyancy is causing this reaction.
The board looke stick to the wave.somtime its good .what is the difference ub xk tobv2? please
The BV2 is faster and more user friendly compared to UD XL. The UD XL will offer a little more high performance turns in the pocket due to its sleeker performance outline. The BV2 has a wider nose but it has more glide, and flies through flat spots. I highly recommend the BV2 with a Twin + Trailer set up.
