This is a great car. I have a 21 convertible. Love it. I never feel that this car is not fast enough or sporty enough. The engine and transmission work very well together. I also have a Porsche Cayman GTS. Drive this car way more.

If you're paying a hefty sum like a 100K which is not a lot considering the cost of other cars in the segment but is a large sum indeed for any human being, you should be provided with luxury, beauty, quality and reliability. And, most of all FUN, which the LC500 does perfectly.
I love Audi/VW’s and manual transmission’s…..which is why I do not understand why I love these so much. $100k for me is Lotus Emira or 911 all day, but I’d seriously consider this too.
nice and honest review 👏👏👏👏. as a person who knows this car very well , the sport and sport+ selections in the car changes effectively and clearly the suspensions (get harder) and steering feel and even the exhaust note . Of course one should drive it everyday to feel it but it definitely feels different in those modes.

Hmm, toss up honestly! I'd pick the new Z06 over both. But a normal C8 vs the LC... I'm not sure what I'd go for. Maybe the LC just because I don't see many. I see Corvettes left and right so they don't feel that special. But they handle a bit better for raw driving. Tough one!
pissed me off they waited til 2024 to put in the birdseye camera while using 2017 birdseye view technology. the exhaust valves open up when you step on it.
Personally I love the M4 Comp! This is definitely a different type of car but still offers so much fun factor! Can always test drive the LC and see if it could be a potential replacement for you down the road.
Tough one! The GTR will offer more drama and power. But this has a more refined interior with a classic V8. Depends if you want more performance or more refinement. Both are fun!
That’s a tough choice. If I could take the LC 500 interior and place it into the Mercedes Benz AMG body- that would be a real winner! The CLE is exquisite, powerful and spacious!

The LC500 is the best choice imo. It's a piece of art, great engine, absolute stunning interior and quality and will very sure climb in value the next years. If I had the money for a second car, I'd totally buy the LC500

While I love the external appearance of this car, the more I look at and investigate the Mercedes coupe & convertible classes- the less impressed I am with the LC 500. Lexus needs to ‘up its game’ for 2025 and this does not mean a hybrid model- which the LC 500 already has and which is a sheer failure. More storage is needed! Four wheel drive would be nice also. Better low end acceleration is needed too !! Changeable interior color trim lighting is also needed. One thing the LC 500 excels is its beautiful and well executed interior design and materials.
What LC500 has a hybrid model? This is strictly an NA V8, no hybrid available... But a lot of people like the simplicity. I couldn't own a Mercedes because of how complicated they are. Too much going on.
Umm...the front seats automatically move forward when you use the lever on the rear of the seats. And they will stop moving backwards when they detect an obstruction. But, yeah, there's no rear leg room.
Mystery solved: You can hear the seat beeping as you were moving it. It's not supposed to do that as it indicates the seat memory needs to be reset. If you had tried to set the memory, you would have noticed it didn't work either. Once reset, it would have moved by itself. Coincidentally, we had this problem with the seat memory on our LS when we first got it. The dealer reset it and it now works properly.

The Mercedes AMG 55 is $30k more expensive, BUT it is 100% more vehicle too! Another thing, while I can custom order a Mercedes AMG I CANNOT custom order a Lexus LC500!!!! I have spoken writhing two Lexus dealers and they both inform me that Lexus dealers get what LC 500 that are shipped to them, even Bespoke versions are not guaranteed!!!!! This is stupid crazy to pay over $100K for a vehicle I which the client must make compromises!! Sorry for $100 k this vehicle is not special enough! If this model does not change in 2025, I might just buy the Mercedes AMG 55!
N/A engines were nothing special back in the day, in fact, everyone wanted a turbo because these offered efficient low end performance; spinning rear wheels is an indication of excessive torque not mechanical performance!
You CAN do special order bespoke builds. I did it. Several dealers said they couldn’t special order, but they just didn’t know how to do it. I did the bespoke order process & got the car exactly the way I wanted it
Well $30K is a significant amount of money....I'd much rather get the LC for $30K less... that's not exactly a cross shopping price difference. But yeah, Mercedes has a ton of options vs Lexus...that's well known...buy what you feel comfortable with.

Well that’s why turbos were invented, to give engines immediate power at the low end of the rpm range. A n/an engine needs to get up its rpm’s to drive more air into the engine, a turbo gets around this limitation by forcing compressed air into the engine from the low rpm range! These n/an engines were normal and not special up through the 1970s!

Love the design, but go sit in one. For such a massive car, it feels like a Miata/Honda S2000 inside. Extremely cramped and tight, especially for a grand tourer.
@@James-mt9nf yes the back seat is intended to be a package shelf, but the front seat with it’s wrap around door/dashboard/transmission tunnel lends it a cocoon feel if that’s your thing. Much like the equally stunning BMW 840i where you can hardly spread your elbows or open your legs. Again like the S2000, it has a very snug fit albeit a much much larger and heavier tourer.

Different cars different audiences. This is 50-60k more new vs a mustang mind u while being a total 180 of what people would want out of a mustang vs a lexus. The stang is a easy to get performance car vs the lexus being a luxury cruiser so it makes no sense comparing them when they're both aimed directly for 2 different audiences in 2 different price points. Still would rather a mustang anyway cause it has a manual or a rcf that'd be a faster than this all around even if that's overpriced on its own aswell.

Different cars different audiences. This is 50-60k more new vs a mustang mind u while being a total 180 of what people would want out of a mustang vs a lexus. The stang is a easy to get performance car vs the lexus being a luxury cruiser so it makes no sense comparing them when they're both aimed directly for 2 different audiences in 2 different price points. Still would rather a mustang anyway cause it has a manual or a rcf that'd be a faster than this all around even if that's overpriced on its own aswell.
