I love the thoroughness and technical info you only get from a German thank you for this video
I like the way you include all the detail.
My favorite professor is Dr. Hofferberth. He is a Dpmt Head at UTSA. And what I like most about him, is he is German. I took a submarine to the Mediterranean and ended up in Frankfort. The people there won me over with their hospitality and the exacting approach to everything. I fellow student tried and failed to give Dr. Hofferberth a proposal, so I asked him to tell me how he did it. Then I explained, Dr. Hofferberth is not only an American, he is German! Americans speak in generalities like a 12” rule, where as Germans speak like a micrometer. So your idea is not bad, it lacked the precision needed to excite a German. Like that ratchet.
Outstanding review. Subscribed
What a story! Thanks for sharing. And thank you very much for the kind words.

Yeah, they are so precise they make the most unprecise and least dependable cars on the market, BMW. LOL
Great review, these are on offer at the moment in the UK, your vid helped me decide to buy it.
where? I'm interested
Love German tool reviews or box openings could watch them all day!
Loving the channel you have yourself a new subscriber 👌
Thank you!
@@Etna. No problem, keep doing what your doing.
Your camera work is excellent especially your close ups.
Keep the German tool reviews coming 💪
Great stuff Wera !
Nice kit to keep in your car
I think the colours between hex keys and sockets/spanners don't match because they have completely different functions. One set is for in-hex drives while the other is for outside sizes, thus they have no commonalities. From what I noticed so far is that spanners and sockets do match up. Interestingly, if you have the Torx and the Hex set, you can notice that the colour of the sleeves correspond to the round diameter of the steel the tool is made from. The Hex 6 matches the Torx T40 with red as both are made from the same 6+ mm steel.
“Wecome” 😂 I’ve subbed
Price is a steep for this set. Most reviews agree that Wera is quality stuff but i personally would not pay the price for a 1/4 set. The slop in in the ratchet is typical of any ratchet and the matte finish is less costly to produce.
Your review itself was well thought out and very thorough. I enjoyed it very much.
What compact 1/4 set would you pick up instead?
Keep up the good work !
Good info. Subbed and thumbs up.
Thank you!
Wera looks disappointing in the end. Didn't think they did sloppy things like that. Thanks for the video.
Hallo Etna, habe dich grad bei "Heiko" entdeckt.
Dein Kanal scheint gut zu sein! 🙂
What is the difference between this and the "Wera Bit-Set 39teilig Tool-Check PL"?
anyone else thinks he sounds like a german christopher walken
Wieder mal schönes Video!
Frage: wie findest du von Gedore das 1/2 Zoll set für 90€ auf Amazon? Will es mir eventuell holen
Sorry for my bad englisch
Moin!
Etna.
for the colorcoding try it that way:
Inbus screw and a fitting hex nut, then take a look at the colors ;)
?
Doesn't work in Hungary... at least what I tried. While the M5 screw would work with a yellow 4mm hex key and a yellow 10mm spanner, the rest of the colours transition for the hex drives but not for the spanners. There isn't a black or cyan green hex driver.
I wonder if the lever type is any better when it comes to slop since it has a true 5 degrees.
My guess would be not, as you add more moving parts into your system. But you can send me one to check it. ;)

Etna.
I have the 3/8 version but I don’t know how to maintain and keep it oiled. Any advice?
Of course!
Just wipe your tools regularly with some Ballistol and you're good to go. German Tool Reviews has some videos on that. Or watch my Rahsol video. I clean an preserve it.

Too beautiful to get grease on

Germans always have best tools, they are 20 years in head of all others even snap on i have heyco tools and before a few days ago i order socket set and still producing them im metal box for heavy duty,i have question at begining the red box socket set was heyco or some other brand.
This red box is a Belzer one. Sadly not produced anymore. You can still find them on german eBay. If you like massive boxes and don't want to spend much, search for Dowidat. They are like Gedore. Also not made anymore. I think Gedore is the only one right now with metal cases if you are looking for new tools. Felo has from time to time wooden boxes in their vintage lines.
I hope that helps!

Etna.
Hello is that a torque wrench?
Nope.

Get to the choppa! And fix it with that Werähhh.
Screw the packaging!!! Hows The Tool?
Hi there!
It simply does the job and that is a great compliment. Only the high tooth count is gimmicky as mentioned. I love to toss it in a bag or any toolcase due to the small form factor. I'd buy it a second time.

Etna.

The ads are great, but the product is absolutely useless. When I unscrewed the 12mm screw, the mechanism broke down and it doesn't work right now. I definitely do not recommend the Wera brand, it did not pay off for the product I paid for.
Well, it sounds like you needed to use a breaker bar. Don't blame the company for your mistake. 😉
Regards,
Etna.
P.S.: Nope, not sponsored. Not a fanboy, either. Just aware, that Wera is often the cheapest of the good and usable tools. Nothing fancy, but does the job when not misused.
@@Etna. If the company makes a bad product, the company is guilty, who else will be to blame? What can I do to a tool that locks while unscrewing the 12mm bolt?😉
@Schwalbe262 I bought it very lovingly, but I was surprised that it degraded.
@@Etna.Do you know how I use it? Don't make unnecessary comments without knowing. Rest assured, I am more knowledgeable about these products than you.
Too expansive for „Made in Taiwan“!
Taiwan is a advanced asian country and their tool manufacturing can compare or even exceed american quality, you will notice more finish errors in american made tools. Look at Japanese tools they're more expensive then US tools for the most part and are a better quality also. I own several wright, sk, and a couple snap on. Also theres a markup being a German company, I buy my knipex and germans tools from the german amazon site and its much less money. I picked this ratchet up from ebay for about $33 not long ago I love it because theres times you need a ratchet with no reverse or socket ejector button in tight spots.
Speak you german. You speak Kraftform and wera like a german people
Könnte sein.
Schicken Gruß,
Etna.
