Started collecting Wera Tools lately. I got their Wera Kraftform 7440/41/42 Torque Screwdriver set as starter; which I used for installing fasteners on glasses. I'm now a Wera Fan and would definitely get this one.
I love roto ratchets but I can't decide if I want to get the wera or not. The plastic sleeve seems like a great idea for when you're using it as a screwdriver, but I wish it didn't lock in the angle of the head. That's not even necessary with roto's, it's only necessary with your more traditional style of flex head. With rotos it can sometimes be advantageous to be able to change the angle mid-swing while you're ratcheting, but the lock would be super annoying in those cases. btw the youtuber you were referring to about the color coding was comparing one of these metric sockets with a metric hex bit socket, so I understand why those wouldn't necessarily need to match although it would still be good if they did.
To my knowledge the colour system is the same with sockets and spanners, it's just the L shaped allen/hex key sleeves which differ.. not too big a deal to be honest! I'm sure with use you get used to it. I get on really well with the 1/4 zyklop set I have for fast and light work!
Great job on the video. Besides the Ratchet and the plastic sleeve on the extension, is there anything that makes this set stand out from other high end brands like Snap-On, Wright, S°K in terms of the sockets?
What’s the deal about Ballistol for treating tools? Why isn’t keeping tools clean and enough? It seems a liquid film on tools would impair gripping and increase slippage.
the amazon employees here in germany like the strike around the end of the year, mostly christmas season and the almost every year. if you work in an amazon fullfillment centre you pretty much have the A Card cosidering working conditions
Just checked and there is no "made in" marking anywhere on the plastic holder or on the wrenches. I'll have to research this. Maybe need to do a more detailed review of these.
End of Nov preparations for the Winter season start. For example, you'd remove old stock and ship new one to their various warehouses. It's not only Amazon, btw. And yes, I am told working for A is a high-stress high-pressure gig.
Few years ago I was working with that exact Wera set for a while. Good quality of materials and manufacturing, but I didn't like that ratchet. I was always careful while doing heavier work, had a feeling that I will break that fancy head under some angle. Btw, why buying German tools? I thought in USA you have good quality tools. At least spanners are good in any country, it's not rocket science.
that ratchet is not long enough for modern car repair it falls short by a mile on that point a lown . not sure what repair they where thinking of . bicycle maybe lawnmower but car repair ! I AM OUT
I used my speed set for my front and rear brake replacement on a 2012 VW Jetta GLI with OEM+ Euro brake kit.... NOT A SINGLE ISSUE except when I needed a breaker bar. This is definitely not a breaker bar lol
@@HuckleBerry476 like i like it but wish longer was part of the design i am getting the ratchet wrenches thow not because i need them but because i want them..not saying i got a tool addiction.....LoL..well i do.

I just love collecting wera tools also
I am using the Proxxon Slim Line for years and i love it.
Wrenches are now around $50 with $30 shipping to the states. Appreciate the video. Beautiful tools.

It was the Allen keys with the different color coding. I'm looking at them in my hand.

1/4?, 3/8? 1/2? Which wera set you got?
3/8". I really need to do a follow up review of this set. This old video isn't done very well.
@@bzeug yeah give us your opinion after all this time, we will appreciate that

I quit using it. I don't like the smell. I suppose if I lived in Hawaii where the salt air might increase corrosion it would make more sense.

$160 isn't that much when you compare it to buying a SK, Proto or Wright tools set which is what I would compare it too
Great review 👌
Thank you
Where's the review? Lots of rambling before opening the box, then a unboxing video where you were obviously impressed because it cost a lot.
How do warranty any thing Wera
are the proxxon wrenches actually made in Germany? ive heard a lot of their tools are Asian made

bzeug that would be much appreciated. Thanks
I sent emails to germany and US side, both replies from Proxxon confirmed wrenches are made in Taiwan.
bzeug thanks for the research
In other video, German guy said that proxxon is not made in Germany. I think he also refereed to ratchet set too.
amazing set, 140euros but I guess import and shipping is a kicker, Enjoy
Sounds like a customs delay - I once had something that was delayed by about 10 months due to customs checks.....
10 months! Yikes. I guess I'm doing pretty good then.
