The film sequences by the white stone building is the Huer's Hut, which is on the narrow lane, just beyond and below the Atlantic hotel in Newquay, Cornwall where the Beatles were staying. The site has remained virtually unchanged over the last 49 years.
"...The site has remained virtually unchanged over the last 49 years....". Hmmm. I think I'll get onto Google Earth and have a look around this now quite famous location.
One of my fav Beatles tunes. Great harmonic progressions, wonderful bass line and that Bach trumpet really hits the spot. Oh - I guess it´s Paul who is playing the piano. At 11:30 he´s trying to play the beginning of the Bach Invention in F.
Hey, thanks for putting this up. I'm a Beatles nut and collect memorabilia., I heard a series here on RUclips that was showing how John Lennon was cumulating the SFF song in his mind. The real recordings go on over a two year period and it all came out, well you know how Strawberry Fields Forever came out.
I know in the footage the girl with George is Patti Boyd George's then wife, whom we wrote "Something" about, she first appeared as a girl flirting with Paul in "A Hard Days Night" and she and George hit it off from then...
very disappointing there's no overdubbing happening here. At about 8 min. in the engineer is setting the levels and sound effects for the horn section. But no actual tracking happens. Please people don't mislabel your videos!!!
Must be nice to be born a musical genius who hits it bigger than any other human being
Luckiest man that has
Ever lived.
Loved hearing the orchestra players warm up and the late Sir George Martin rehearsing them. Also the mellotron with tape echo.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this Rob.

This is SO COOL! To a hardcore Beatles nut/musician, this is like finding and opening up an ancient sarcophagus to peer into history in the making.

This reminds me greatly of the day I got my first delay pedal.

Magical Mystery Tour outtakes! :D
This is good stuff, Hilts!
And you can hear only 6 minutes of this session on the "Lost Pepperland reel" cd. Nice video!
You certainly get about in your lunch hour, dont ya Colin? : ) Lol!
I keep thinking of the Dewey Cox movie haha
I'm guessing that those harpsicord like mellotron sounds at 2:27 became the basis of Lucy?
wow ...intro and and outro for Layla.....
Jan 1977 their master's voice record. playing with own echo.
Penny Lane: 💯🎵🎶
They're already in the final key that the song will be in: B major (Modulates to A major for the chorus).
Awesome! I've only seen bootleg albums have excerpts of this that are 2-6 minutes. What bootleg album had this entire thing?
at 6:35 you can hear Brian Wilson ?/
Sure can!
230 sounds like GOK
I can't hear him..
Maybe the 1976 sounding Brian. But no, 'twasn't he.
Yeah man the whole piano part is influenced from God only knows..as soon as it starts you can hear the Wilson influence
wow
piano needs tunning something bad,still it's good..great seeing Mal,,such a tragedy
Someone is playing with the tape echo. That's why it sounds detuned in places.
It was great seeing Mal I agree. What was the background to what happened to him please?
It's their master's voice echo. he is playing with his own natural multiple voice, as if it was a studio session. At least at some points.
Shot by Police
