      @@dyoel182 Thank you! Yes it does have the warning light on the 'dash' under the steering column (to the left of the headlight knob). If it came on when the batteries got low, I never noticed it; I don't think is is working. The batteries are 8 months old, and in great shape (I filled, load tested, and did specific - gravity test); I now keep it plugged to the automatic charger. It is a 2013 Club Car Precedent that was raised and a different 'body' and back seat installed.... I just installed a new speed sensor device and magnet disc on the motor that for now seems to have fixed another problem I had. (It would go to 'crawl' mode after running for a few minutes....

    I installed this just as you have described. It turns on and off with the ignition as expected, but my battery meter shows 100% full, no matter how long I'm out driving around.
    Any idea why this is the case?

    • @wrdyke
      @wrdyke  Год назад

      Hmmm, not sure on that one. Maybe double check the wiring. Could be a faulty meter. Are you checking with a voltmeter?

    • @wrdyke
      @wrdyke  Год назад

      Off the top of my head I would say the meter is bad....i dont think you cart has an alternator so that is the only thing that makes sense. Did you check voltages with a meter on the wires? You could unhook the meter when you know the batteries are a bit depleted and check the voltage. If the voltage is low(under 48 volts) then you will know if the meter is bad.

    • @golfnutt1969
      @golfnutt1969 Год назад

      @@wrdyke So the meter that I bought has a removable piece on one of the sides. I't a smooth rubber plug, that I didn't even notice until I looked at it a bit more. Inside the meter, there were 3 switches that allowed different voltage configuration. It came from the factory at 12v, so my 48v system, even when half depleted was showing full. I configured it for 48 volts and it started working. So I had two issues, one with the meter, and the other with the power wires I used. I ended up going with a different meter all together, as this original one was difficult to read in sunlight.

      @@wrdyke Hey Will. Still struggling with this. I've purchased 3 meters now. One of the power wires I was using always put out 48 volts, no matter the battery state. I found another power wire that directly matched the voltage from the batteries. However, my meters never show this correctly. For example, last night, my battery meter showed that the battery was almost fully depleted but when checking the batteries directly, were still putting out 36 volts, almost 75% of capacity. This morning, after charging all night and a quick ride around the neighborhood, batteries are putting out 44.7 volts, so 93% of the full 48 volts, but all three of the 48v battery meters I have will show just around 50% (5 of 10 lights lit up). I'm at my wits' end trying to figure this one out.

So I should I run my - to black then put a jumper wire on the + side and run + to the other 2 poles?

    I have a 16’ precedent but I don’t have the blue/white wire. I tried just hooking up the positive and negative and the unit seems to power up (the light moves from full to empty) and then it just goes blank. Do you have any clue why this would be happening?

    Where does the blue and white wire go to from the meter?

    • @wrdyke
      @wrdyke  3 года назад +1

      The blue and white wire is a switched 48 volt wire that is turned on and off via your key switch. Always check with a meter to make sure. Key on should produce about 48V and when key is off there should be 0V. I am not sure if it connects directly to the key switch but the voltage in that blue and white is controlled by your key switch. Hope that helps!
