Is the wiring the same at the key switch if my golf carts are push button left on/right off? I take car of 3 golf carts and would like to add these meters, so the drivers can know when to charge.
Michael Perrino I didn't have a double spade connector so i just wrapped the wire around the post and slid the connector of the other wire down over it.
I installed a similar LED battery meter on my 36V 2002 E-Z-Go TXT. The problem I’m having is that the meter stays on the entire time, and the switch wire doesn’t seem to do anything even though it is wired to the switch leg of the key switch as shown in the video. Why won’t this meter turn off and only turn on when the key switch is in the ON position?
Wires do not come with the kit. Neither does the double make connector that goes to back of key seitch. Only The female connectors come with most meters.
Great video! I was able to install mine. Thanks again!

Hi, great video.
Just wondering if it makes any difference if i were to use thicker wiring than 18awg.
Would it be an issue to use 16 or 14?
Thanks.
Would a fuse be a good idea on the B+ wire?
And the green wire the sense wire where that come from you didn’t explain that
Smokin3000gt -I tough the same ,full should be up and 0 down ...lol
Also never saw if worked..??!
Half asser he was to buesy acting pretty..Why I've seen better heads on nickel beer

does that mean you need a double spade connector on the switch leg of the key switch?

I only have 2 wires one red and one black coming from back side of digital voltage meter
Can't you pick up the 48V (hot) from the key switch instead of going all the way to the battery? And pick up a local ground as well?
Yes, if you have a club car, you can pick up the 48V, ground and switch on behind the keyswitch.
Which color wire where I get 48v from
I"ll take "How to Drain A Battery" for $200 Alex
Does a blue light stay on..mine does

Same issue. It works when directly connected to batteries only but doesn't work at all when connected to key switch
Why don't the lights show up on my meter when it use to??
Wht did you put it upside down?
Do the wires come with the kit? What is the path of the wire to the battery? Needs more information

What ‘cutting tool’ is that? Is it just a normal drill bit?
Dremel with a drill bit
@@danielrabines9201 yeah I got it. It’s a dremel cutting tool. Since then I’ve bought 3 dremels and cutting wheels too lol.
All that and you put it in upside down?
smokin3000gt We positioned this vertically to fit better on our dash. You are welcome to put yours in horizontally. Thanks for wathing!
