  • Join me behind the scenes for another of my single-take rehearsals for demos that I am prepping for, test-driving new concepts, or generally practicing. Usually recorded late after all my normal work is done, you might enjoy some of the tips and tricks I hope to offer.
A rivet fan is fun to use, old school tool for accurately creating runs of rivets. Today I made a quick assembly of such a rivet fan and here I show its use. It's a nice practice model for assembly mates, and is quite satisfying to see work!

Cool idea with the rivet fence, I like it. Where do you get it from?

I saw a youtube video with one being demonstrated, so it sparked my interest. I commandeered some on my kids' Meccano bits and pieces and made a prototype... then it was off to Onshape to experiment! As for buying a real one, they are available at most tool suppliers (e.g. www.aircraft-tool.com/detail?id=FS01)
