Amazing reminder. And it also increases iman. Wallahi you can find that when you just keep on talking, you become distracted from the deen and you will just find yourself naturally in lower iman. This is why I personally don't like hanging out with friends much, they just kill my iman even when our hangout is halal, but doesn't matter, idle talk and just talking, I noticed personally in myself, reduces iman ALOT for me. Im not saying don't hangout with friends, but if you do want, please, for Allah's sake, accompany yourself with righetous Muslims because it can have the complete opposite effect and rather boost your iman. I don't mean just have righteous Muslims and just talk about deen for a little but mostly idle talk, no, absolutely not. still don't do that. instead, surround yourself with STUDENTS OF KNOWLEDGE. I believe this to be best. When you surround yourself with students of knowledge and your talks are alot about Aqeeda, Fiqh, Tafseer, Hadith, Wallahi thats just amazing. Would absolutely love to have friends such as these where like majority of our talks in that and we both bombard ourselves with value and knowledge and the rest would just be getting successful in the Dunya so we can do alot for Islam, entrepreunership. Getting rich for the sake of the hereafter, and with our money do alot such as funding daees, the people who call towards Tawheed Allah Almighty, a good example of this is the iera. or giving charity, particpating in funding building mosques, or even just for you to increase in knowledge, you can pay a sheikh to sit down with you for 8-10 hours a day just him teaching you Islam, and if you lack in the arabic language, he can sit down with you and you can stay in 1 Aqeeda or Fiqh, or a Tafseer Tabari book and finish it all, and not only increase in arabic language knowledge but in deen as well.
Ibn al-Mubarak رحمه الله was asked about the statement of Luqman عليه السلام to his son: If speech is from silver, then silence is from gold. He said: It means if speech in obedience to Allah is silver, then silence [in order to refrain from] disobedience to Allah is gold.

This is so beneficial for those like myself who like to talk.
