- The Pakt One minimalist travel bag helped solve my problem of being a notorious over-packer. I've used it on several trips so far, and think that it's pretty darn awesome.
This isn’t a sponsored video in any way. I spent a long time searching for a solution to my travel issues, and I found what I think might possibly be the perfect bag- or at least the perfect bag for me.
The Pakt One is an unassuming duffel that is super well built and insanely well thought out. It not only carries everything you need, it keeps things organized and efficient. There are top zippers for each of the two compartments, and a middle zipper opens the bag in two, where each compartment has a separate zippable enclosure.
On top of that, I’ve started using packing cubes, which can really help to make everything more efficient. Even a large coat can be jammed- I mean, neatly placed inside a cube to take up less space.
At $325 the price seemed steep, but for a bag that’s high quality, cruelty free, and can easily last the foreseeable future, it was worth it for me. Most importantly, the Pakt One has helped me to actually enjoy the process of traveling, rather than dreading the frustrations of packing, and that by itself is reason enough for me to make a video telling you about it.

I am glad I am not the only one that has packing challenges. I also pack like a Boy Scout. I purchased the Pakt One from the crowd funding campaign. It does get very heavy.

The production is getting spectacular on your videos, Tom. You’re a pro. You remind me of the protagonist in Fight Club if he had never incinerated his condo. I’ve never seen anyone obsess over organization this much without a firm diagnosis of schizophrenic OCD. I understand the frustration with modestly priced American products because it’s pretty much all total garbage nowadays. But that price is outrageous, even with the hobby-accommodating design. I’d honestly rather use a pillowcase and a few tube socks. Uncle Buck-style, homeBOYEE!

I would really need a pass through sleeve. I also wish it had a outer side pocket for a water bottle.

Nice video as always! And great review but I’ll stick with my hobo stick and bindle for all my traveling packing needs. Except for my Switch though, I have like 3 different cases for it and got it it’s own messenger bag lol.

Where are all you guys getting those sweet lights for the background, i'm seeing that style a lot in our niche and my lighting is without a doubt a major downside to my content I need to step it up, I need your secrets!! ;) i've been on the market for a good travel bag for months and i'm struggling to find the perfect bag for me, i'm so vain I want it to be as good looking as it is practical haha

I'm so sorry I missed this (it was flagged as spam and I didn't see it until now).
I mostly use the Rode VideoMic Pro +. It's MUCH improved over the older Videomic Pros, and would probably go very well with the Micro.
Issue #3...the friggin' price! Bag is great but who could afford it? I travel VERY light, no matter if it's for a weekend or a month, and use a duffel bag I found at TJ Maxx by Bagalini. I think I paid under $40 for it and it has many of the same features. I used to use an 18" backpack but I like the duffel bag better. Not saying PAKT hasn't made a great product but I certainly can't afford it.
It definitely has a steep price tag, and prior to this, all of my bags came from either Target or Marshall's, but this one seems like it'll last forever and I've used the heck out of it since I first got it (back in the days when leaving home was a thing that people did).
