No need to dare. They literally are LEGENDARY!!! We can all say it with pride. I mean even Letterman co-signed them and said they are the future of late night!
Though folks don't talk about it, I was a big fan of Samuel L. Jackson during his Spike Lee Joint years. He always played powerful parts in those films of the late 80s and early 90s.
During his spike lee joint years? Nobody says spike lee joint years... i know the movies were subtitled "a spike lee joint" but you're not using it correctly
But many people do talk about it. I don't believe anyone who is a fan of SLJ doesn't associate him to those years. Hell, respect was earned during those years.. It's simply inevitable to know that and speak on that.
Before Pulp Fiction, Samuel L. Was in: Coming to America, Eddie Murphy’s Raw, School Daze, Goodfellas, Mo Better Blues, True Romance. Samuel L. is proof there are no small roles only small actors.
@@Category305 how can I personally, my uncle quotes him all the time in that movie ". . .I'll do it, I'll do it, you know I'll do it . . . cause I'm a *record scratching sound* crackhead"
I am forty five years old. This man has been there for as long as I can remember. I love movies, but I always seemed to love the movies Sam Jackson was in more. When Pulp fiction was coming out, I was 17 or 18, and it was "the new Sam Jackson movie" to me. I was exited for it and had no idea it would become the powerhouse that it is today. I hope he outlives us all. I don't know that I want to live in a world where I don't get to see any more new SLJ movies.
You folks and Sean from Hot Ones are the future of talk shows. You need to come back to each other's shows. Both Sean and you two are completely different people than back then. The comeback show could be as amazing as the Hot Ones featuring you guys was. You don't need a live audience to do the interviews, because your chemistry between yourselves and the one with the guests are amazing and carry out the entire show. But you guys deserve a huge ass live audience for whatever you do, outside or including this.
...going through Alzheimers with my aunt and apparently seeing that my mother is going that road too is devastating. Is like an everyday heartbreak, every single day you feel inexplicable pain because, they're either gone already or starting. It is not something you speak about openly either, not because of shame or stigma but because only doctors and people in the family, who live the everyday with you understand it. Is a lot like suffering in silence. Add that to the fear of saying "it runs in the family" (some or any form of dementia), is also a hard pill to swallow. To publicly discuss the effects of Alzheimers on those around who suffer from it, is as important. The emotional toll is circular :/
That’s because Sam is probably the realest actor that’s big time…the man literally talked about how he used to cook his own crack on major programs and the reality of his whole life as easy as today’s weather
thank you both & all of the staff that put this show together. I just really had an true awakening moment. I've never heard anyone explain/ share a personal account of how alzheimer can playout. I believe now that I may be currently & in the past dealing with said subject. Thank You
I love how Sam is honest about the business. He doesn't speak in these bloated terms about acting. Say what you want. Brother is doing something right. He's been bankable for a minute.
We love you Mr. Jackson!!❤❤❤ Your body of work alone deserves the equivalent of knighthood. Your philanthropy deserves the Medal of Freedom. Thank you for influencing the best of my teens, 20s, and 30s! SALUTE SIR!
My grandfather had dementia, WW II survivor & purple heart recepient, got plenty of medals, met the president etc. He didn't have a grenade directly in his space or else he'd have died but he caught ricochet of a grenade blast and so suffered injury and had vicious nightmares, uncontrollable nightmares of death and blood and despair of his fellow comrades holding on for dear life as they slowly stopped breathing and he watched. I say that to say, he suffered from dimentia and I saw the last stages where he'd have flickers of light here and there with me.

Two weeks of off the charts Big Uncle energy.
Always here for it.
The Long Kiss Goodnight is fantastic! I love that he still talks about it.
Mitch Hennessy was the man ✊🏾
I love that movie, it feels like a Tarantino tribute and a sly wink/parody of action movies of the time.
I LOOOOOOOVE that movie.
Absolute classic. Timothy was one of the best villain/thugs in cinematic history. It was a lowkey role but the actor killed it.
I loved the way he sing a melody to remember shit!😄😉😊
Sam saying “can I get a loosie” is top tier
Mero was tryna get him to talk about double toppy and Desus was making sure he didn't hear that 🤣🤣🤣 I love these two.

I know Uncle Sam’s been doing movies since the 70s but his small role in “Coming to America” (1988) is legendary.
Yup he was the robber
Yes, Sam Jackson always make an impression in every role😂
Love how attentive Desus and Mero are throughout this interview. Sam demands your attention.
His character in KIngsman was basically Russel Simmons lol
To the lisp as well! Crazy 😧 how he did his imitation of the Simmons's voice!
For Samuel Jackson, I go back to his small role on “Ghost Writer” which was on PBS back in the early 90’s!!!
You just unearthed a show from deep within my memory
