Yeah, id probably go with the ones without soldering
I bought the K-silvers as they were cheap on AliExpress and came in white. I do microsoldering as a side hustle so that was no problem for me lol. Sticks work great, no problems so far.
Well, this video certainly made my day. I'm quite happy that there are finally comfortable low-resistance hall-effect joysticks. This will be a near future project for me.
It's unfortunate we cannot buy stock ones from Nintendo
I don't remember if you can change the outer dead zone on the sticks, but....
I just remember changing the calibration/deadzone settings on a program called joycon toolkit
If there's a way to edit the outer deadzone.... that may fix the issue with hall effect sticks
Happy to report that they have no dead band. Maybe some batches do, some don't. Better than gulikit (which all have deadband). Buy these.
Nice
Can you review the new Gulilkit joycon sticks(Rev B)? I have a pair and they have much less resistance and much better feeling caps but unfortunately my pair will not calibrate properly.
I'm very curious to know whether or not I can just rip out the top caps of the Ksilvers because they do look like they're better than just the regular ones or gullikit's
But I've managed to find a supplier that sells gullikit ones for about 5 dollars cheaper than the Ksilvers haha
You probably can but you will end up destroying the rubber entirely so you wont be able to reuse it
Which version of the Gulikits are you using? Rev A or B? A have gulikit logo in the black plastic while B have the logo on the silver metal.
Probably Rev A it has the logo on the black plastic
How about inner deadzone
I noticed that my joystick wigle a lot before registering input how ksilver vs gulikit compered
Please review the solderless adapter ones!
I can't buy it because there are heavy import taxes from amazon US =/
But they should work, I suggest you to buy them and if they don't work just by replacing remove the adapter and get someone to solder the wires for you =)
Looks like the amazon link for the Wire-Free Elecgear Adapter got changed and now it's showing the steamdeck hall effect sticks. I can't find the adapter on their store anymore either so I'm assuming it got delisted for now
Probably its sold out already 🤣
I found another link
Just updated it in the description
Hey VK, can you do a video on the Xbox Elite 2 Hall Effect module that has been released? I can't find any videos or reviews on it.
I dont have the elite 2 sadly
Hello there, I had a problem with one of my gulikit sticks and it just moves horizontally... Please help me, master.
(gulikit They have already validated my warranty and will send me a new one for 0.1 usd but I don't want to stay without play) 😢
Do you know where to buy the "power saving adapter" for the ksilver joysticks? I already bought the hall effect sticks but I am not able to solder it for the left joycons. The soldering point are even to small for the left, so I want to use the adapter to do not need this soldering. I am searching on Aliexpress, but its really hard to find something.
Only the adapter from elecgear is solderless
As I've shown the ksilver adapters have a wire as well
@@VKsChannel Did you also faced the issue that after a few hours gaming, one of the buttons (y, x, a, b) do not working probperly? I soldered the sticks into my four controllers and on two controllers (always right joycon) I get the problem that A/Y do not recognize the input in four of five times.
@@VKsChannel I figured it out and the final help was NFC. It told me there is not enough power coming from battery. It seems the KSilver sticks having to big measurement tolerance in the production and not all of them consuming the same voltage. After replacing these sticks with some other KSilvers everything worked well again. Buttons push work now in normal conditions and NFC is back to work.
10pcs Third Version Hall Effect Joystick is this real of fake?
gulikit are better because stiffer joysticks makes more durable to drifting due to the lost in force of the spring who centers the stick
And I say so because some k-silver modules in other controllers like flydigi Vader 3 pro are more easy to move, which makes it even possible to wobble them by shaking the controller, so actually a more stiff joystick is overall better which makes the modules of gulikit better with a high spring resistance, making the 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller the most durable actually because based on the review it is the most resistant joystick module on all the controllers, then the gulikit kk2 (but sadly it's buttons don't work), then I would bet for T4 kaleid or G7se but, that, and flydigi, and every other use k-silver hall sensor joystick which makes me doubt about their durability long term
Well, question of personal preference. I prefer the softer joycons and for me it's much easier to control and be precise with smaller movements. The stronger force to go back to center from the gulikit and the "sand" feel was not enjoyable for me.
I'm talking about durability only @@jcarloz0
or longevity
Hey VK, can you tell me, which jumper wire do you use?
I Used the wires from a broken pc Fan see 8:49 on this video here ruclips.net/video/luE_MkXuZAc/видео.htmlsi=dluP6jGdzm2Sqx-g
@@VKsChannel ah okay thanks, but this is not helpful for me because I have no broken fan to use for 😀
I watched whole video two times and still have problem with understanding which one I should choose, K-Silver or GuliKit? I intend to install them in Switch Lite so soldering is not a problem (from what I understand there is no need to solder K-Silvers in Switch Lite).
Ksilver feels like original joycons
Gulikit will feel more stiff with an increased resistance
@@VKsChannel I've bought both and tested them today and personally I like increased resistance of Gulikit. Unfortunately one of the Gulikit sticks have some problems when moving up/down (not always going all the way down, I've already contacted the seller) so I was forced to go with K-Silvers. They are working flawlessly at the moment. Have you noticed that K-silvers are lower than the original ones while Gulikit are slightly higher? If someone is using Switch Lite Flip Case with additionall thumb stick grips K-Silver are preferrable as Gulikit may not fit when closing case.
Gulikit rubber is very bad and it is not soft at all. I wish I bought revision 2. I heard they are better feeling.
