This little ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
This was extremely helpful! Right now I am considering an Ella's Bubbles Walk In Bathtub, they seem to have Dual Drain Technology and other exclusive features. Any thoughts?
It looked like the water was only at the waist level of the man in the tub.
I would've liked to see the water be a bit more higher to the chest area though.
Looks like the tub was made somewhat too small.
Most of them are - they're nothing more than a foot wash. Bliss has one with 21" between the seat and the overflow; it is 46" high over all..
It’s good for the old people and who is disabled people need a walk in tube
im in my 20s and i want one lol
I would love to have one -- but when I had the salesman come out he quoted me $12,000.00. Could not justify that kind of expense. When I Googled walk-in tubs Google said that they were about 3-5,000.00. More reasonable -- but this tub was 12,000.00. Too much for my blood
Any quote of $3000-$5000 would be for tub only...you'd be charged extra for delivery, installation, plumbing, have a stripped down warranty, perhaps no service when you might have a problem, etc. "Safe-Step" is the Rolls Royce of walk-in tubs (also walk-in tub with Shower combo). It's expensive, but the quoted prices cover everything (especially a lifetime warranty).
@@joshpembers So this lifetime guarantee ?.Who guarantees they will still be there in 10 years to fulfill the guarantee ???
*How quickly can the water drain if we need to open the door if a senior citizen starts having chest pains or some emergency?* Please be specific time wise.
Minute or 2
Im thinking about buying one for my powder room.
Well that's interesting. I am looking for a walk in tub and was kinda impressed that Pat Boone was a spokesperson for this company. Am I correct that this company has franchises? Perhaps Christine is indeed evil and mean. I'm curious to hear how this turns out what with the lawyer and Channel 2 and all. Please keep us posted Thelma. Oh and cheers to you for not lying to the customers.
This look so amazingly relaxing, I’m going to buy one for my mom. and me
how'd that work out ?
jeez you must loaded.
A walk in tub will be a thing of the future as we work towards using less water but this bath is badly designed. As one poster said "the water was only at the waist level of the man in the tub" so it needs to be higher, at least 10" higher and the length is too long because the door opens in and there are lots of better ways to hold water tight in a container without relying on water pressure to keep it closed, Another thing is that these tubs all have built in pumps, for the spa, built in under the seat and should it have to be repaired you need to have access to this area otherwise you would have to rip the unit out away from tiled walls to access the pump. A maintenance hole would be almost essential. Fix bugs and I'll buy one because I think they are the best thing since sliced bread.
+Ned Wood Walk in tubs like those offered by Tub King (at a fraction of the cost of this tub) have access panels on the front that allow access to the pumps and such.
Heck, I can't get off up off the floor of a cramped tub, so if I want to wash my goose thoroughly so I can be truly "dating confident" I need to dip it in hot soapy bath water . So I have to have one of these.
You are a very mean man. I pray to God that nothing ever happen to you and that you have some one to help take care of you and they don't make you feel bad for being in there way. God bless you my Child
He is definitely full of it , isn't he ? 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This tub eliminates the need for a sink or toilet all my hygiene is now taken care of in one place as I relax brush my three teeth and let go
We all need a sense of humor 😂😂😂
I wanted one of these and I'm not even a senior citizen
Yes . It takes about 15 to 17 minutes to fill but It's faster emptying it .
By the time I get ready , have my bath , rinse off ,,with that stupid hose ,, drain it , get out and clean it ,,
I'm exhausted .
I never liked those hose things when I was a teenager they're much worse now .
It does have a heated seat but you have to remember to turn it in a bit before you get in it .
They say there easy to clean 😳,,yep if you get someone else to clean them .
I really need to do a video one day and show People exactly what they're getting in a safe step tub ! 🤬
Do it! Make a video. :)
Just think!. All you have to do is step into the tub stripped down to your birthday suit. Close the door and then wait until the tub is full. When your done, you have to drain the tub before you can get out, all while your still in your birthday suit. doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why not install a walk in shower with a seat at one end. Makes much more sense.
Sorry but that sounds rather snarky! There are some people with skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema, for example, where bathing in a tub soothes and exfoliate the dry skin. To the infirmed with these conditions that can no longer get in & out of tub taking a bath is not a luxury it is a relief from pain. To them having the little inconvenience of a cool slow drain time will seem like heaven. In the long run it beats the hell out of paying exorbitant fees (not to mention the lack of privacy) for the use of a hospital whirlpool lift bath when the skin condition is full flare and a bath is prescribed by a doctor!
+John Keller Old people know how to wait. They don't have anything else to do. Watching the water fill up the tub is more exciting than most people have taken time to realize. Who keeps the old fart from opening the door while he is in there? Who is Pat Boone? Is he the father of Daniel Boone?
You are not a woman I would love one We live in an RV and I only miss my tub from my house. Just relaxing in a tub. Showers don't compare. I hate my shower with a seat. I want my tub *S*
A shower isnt a tub, hot tub water is very therapeutic to sore muscles and bones, etc
Safe Step Tubs are 100% American made. Manufactured in Tennessee, America.
Walk in Tubs are great for Age in Place living !
I would have a problem sitting there until tub fills & empty’s! Not for me
*I never thought I'd see Pat Boone pitching a walk in tub.*
Why not? He stole a bunch of songs from black performers and rerecorded them for his profit.
I never thought I'd see Ed McMahon ringing doorbells.
These companies are ripping seniors off and the handicap as well.
My father-in-law paid sixteen thousand dollars for his from a company out of San Rafael,CA
16k over 6-7 years ago? Was that a lot? What do they typically cost?
That is exactly what I've been saying !
They think we are too old and sick to do anything about it .
That we will roll over and play dead !
Bottom line they're one of the companies with the least amount of integrity I've ever dealt with .
They're truly evil . Sad but true .
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TUB....THIS COMPANY RUINED MY PARENTS BATHROOM....THEY PREY UPON SENIORS...MY PARENTS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THEIR BATHROOM SINCE THE DAY IT WAS INSTALLED THREE YEARS AGO!!!
they keep promising they will fix it,,but the two technicians they sent say it is un fixable....it flooded the downstairs below.... I had NO idea they were going through all this trouble until just recently,,,how completely shameful that they preyed upon the fact that they knew that my elderly parents had no access to social media and disregarded the letters that they had written to the company. We will be taking legal action ,,,,it is incredible how they could charge $13,000.00 for the worst piece of garbage that was installed ...and even more astonishing how they can sleep at night knowing they are pushing this horrific nightmare of a product onto poor seniors!
Can I just fill it up to whirlpool my legs only? Can I use Epsom salts? Where can I try one out?
Yes, yes, Pat's house
Omg PAT BOONE !!! 😀😀😀
Well done video.
Reflex sent me here
Good info on walk-in bathtubs. thx
Who is getting money for spreading these lies around ?
First off You need to have hot water on demand before you buy one , otherwise the tub doesn't even half fill up on a 40 gallon tank .
They don't tell you that .
I had mine sit here 3 weeks before I could use it .
It takes about 15 to 17 minutes to fill but It's faster emptying it .
By the time I get ready , have my bath , rinse off ,,with that stupid hose ,, drain it , get out and clean it ,,
I'm exhausted .
I have never liked those hose things when I was a teenager they're much worse now .
It does have a heated seat but you have to remember to turn it on a bit before you get in it .
They say there easy to clean 😳,,yep if you get someone else to clean them .
The foot jets are too low . The list goes on and on . 🤬
I really need to do a video one day and show People exactly what they're getting !
@@breezyblessings3395 Yes, please do a video. My mother is determined that she wants a Pat Boone tub.
What is not shown in this video:
- the time you wait sitting in tub for the tub to be filled with water and emptied.
- not having the possibility of an emergency exit in case is needed. If the elder person feels stomach sick, feels the heart raising, feels getting weak from being in too warm water, feels cold and starts shaking from being in too cold water… he can’t do anything about, he just has to sit there until the tub empty itself and he can get out.
- the maintenance cost and commitment for the tub to be functional, clean, and safe.

I want 1 so bad
Pat how do you open the door to get in when it's full of water without letting all of the water out?
This was the biggest shocker to me when I got my tub and the thing I DON'T like about my walk in tub. You CAN'T open the door when the tub is filling or draining. So if you don't time to wait for it to fill/drain (and that's my situation), you keep a small step stool by the tub and climb over the top to get in. This makes the tub LESS safe than a regular tub; not more safe. People selling these tubs need to make sure prospective customers understand this. It's obvious if you stop to think about it but when you're looking at jets, and all the other cool features of a walk in tub, believe me, it is very easy to 'miss' the negative aspects. I did.
Omg, my jacuzzi tub takes about one minute to drain all that water, draining isnt a problem
@@babewhowalks it takes 15-17 min to fill and I'm not too sure how long to empty as I'm usually busy cleaning the tub . Than I'm busy using the hand held to rinse off .,,you see there is no shower .. ohh and that's great fun NOT . This tub is nothing like yours so you really have no idea what it's like . 😞
@@breezyblessings3395 yeah, i’m scared to get one they are so expensive and then it seems like people are never happy with them, i think i’ll have them make a nice big walk in shower with a built in bench...gotta wonder about companies that don’t post prices
You don't really think Pat Boone is personally going to answer your question, do you?
I would just use it as a seat
Who's the best? The SpaBath Company!
Do you accept Medicare or madicaid???
Medicare doesn't cover walk in tubs.
Nah I need water to chest...this look too cold. I need real slide into underwater much.
Get in, close the door and wait for it to fill. When you are ready to get out, wait for it to drain. Fill water must be temp controlled never too hot or too cool. What a stupid design. And then there are door seals. The bathroom might require a floor drain, just in case!
the more I read about this walk in baths ,the more I realise what a rip off they are.
I will just buy a low level bath ( over here about £400 ) Once fitted you more or less just step into them.
Put a plastic chair in the shower....duh.
Omg love it hahahaha
+Noah Zark That would not be a bath but a comfortable shower. Watch out! Karma can be a b****.
Not everyone likes a shower.
Noah Zark
"Walk in" means there is no tub side to step up and over, thus preventing falls.
Duh!!
Wow so much insight on how to take a bath without a tub LOL
Ole Pat says that this tub has the lowest step in height of four inches in the business. Pat is WRONG! There are many walk in tubs that have much lower step in heights. I have seen some as low as two inches.
Make sure you can get pricing information on the phone BEFORE you have to sit through an in home " consultation "

Some of the tubs that have the 2 inch step in are raised an additional 2" to 3 '' off the floor when installed..
And we will only screw you out of $20K ... More then what Grandpa paid for his house in 1950 !!!
Why is it that you have to buy it before you can try it. It's like buying a car without test driving it. Very suspicious that there are no showrooms to try it out. Trying to pull a Pelosi Pat?
VIVA GEOCENTRISM so are you going to get into a tub that others have used to test as well?
Why not, I've gotten into public pools; these tubs are supposed to be bacteria resistant and I would think they would clean test tubs between customers.
@DANIEL WAITO ... IM NOT PUT DOWN THE COMPANY DOWN THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR 30YEARS BUT MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!!! I WORK FOR COMCAST SALES MAKING WAY MUCH MORE THEN THOSE LOSERS
Talk about a ripoff Comcast is one of the worst company's around, Did you learn your sales abilities from honest Omar's used camel sales?
What a stupid and insensitive comment!
I have no idea WHY people think they need these ridiculous tubs. They are overpriced, stupid purchase. You can buy today's nicer jet tubs with the deeper tub, and install it very easily to accommodate seniors entering and exiting. People have no frigging forward thought processes.
Why would the elderly need a deeper tub?
