Yo, that's really neat. One question: would you consider cutting either Reasoning or Maxx C? I've not completed my deck yet (initially I was going for triple Superbia + Trade In + Krystia, but god is it expensive) and was going to try Reasoning, but really dislike its incompatibility with handtraps.
I searched for a long time for a solution to replace Maxx C and Reasoning but I couldn't find a better option. I would have liked to try Upstart Goblin but it's way too expensive. And I know Reasoning has its flaws but it works pretty well. I mainly use it to bait Ash Blossom.

No anti destruction handtrap? (Lvl 9, forgot the name) I suppose to favor rank 8 engine while reducing brick rate; Herald for safer Link 2 is a great touch as wel, same with BLS While I don't feel the same nowadays about Bricklords, I still cherish the deck, and not even running the negate / healing trap shows that you're committed to the cause Maybe I would run 2 Allured, but otherwise this looks really solid; gratz for reaching plat with this deck
Thanks for your comment! Yeah I don't play Tezcatlipoca for the reasons you mentioned. I used to play Allure but banishing a dark monster from my hand was way too frustrating and penalizing.
Indeed, specially since you're playing 1 of, Except for Ixchel because ofc you play 3 And had you thought on other Rank 8? Girsu could be useful on both turns, same for Hope Bringer, or is the deck too tight? (or low on resources)
@@Jyxero I had thought of adding them (especially Number 38) but actually I didn't want to spend more resources on these cards which are optional. Also, I rarely get the opportunity to do an 8* xyz summon so I preferred to use the cheap xyz package :)
Honestly if your goal is just to reach Platinum 1 there are much better options than Darklord. You can try but it will be difficult, apart from that the deck is very fun to play.
Embrace the darkness... And unlike other dark decks this one has waifus Also pepare to brick, but put an imaginary poker face, maybe that convince opponent you're playing Psy-frame

With Darklord the combos already cost way too many cards so playing Droplet is not a good idea for me.
Ruler is an underrated option, as like mentioned above, the deck didn't earn it's "Bricklord" nickname for being one card combo
is this deck better going first or second?
Sometimes my starting hand is better to go second but 90% of the time it's better to go first so go first if you can.
