rotary cement kiln hot spot and red spot. still this kiln forced to run. Rotating equipments

A hot spot is usually detected with a shell scanner or pyrometer. It has a little higher temperature then the rest of the kiln, and is hardly visible at night. A hot spot do not require much attention, just a cooling fan comes in help.
On the other side the red spot is visible and have a high temperature, and always need some kind of immediate attention. If the red spot persist, then it can damage the kiln shell.
