the AWD will ALWAYS get out out of the whole faster but as you saw the Mustangs had the top speed and were closing the gap they just ran out of track. GT-R's are beasts on the drag strip because of that AWD. Don't get me wrong they are stupidly fast also but it's that AWD that makes them a beast.

The first mustang is a 350 not 500. The 350 is a track oriented car and it seems the first one is a stock 350. Yeah you can tune them up for drag racing but the flat plane crank and the lower engine was all done for cornering and braking. I have a feeling if u place them on a track the gt350 is going to win.
