Making electronics smaller usually results in them being more expensive, not less. That coupled with Furitek having the market mostly cornered means they can charge what they want because they know people will buy it regardless. Perks of a free market I suppose.
YEP. They are the best. I just bought my third Liz Pro/ Micro Komodo setup to put into an SCX 24 6x6 w/ rear steer. You could use a servo y harness with a servo signal reverser for rear steer, but you'd be stuck with rear steer 100% of the time.
That's awesome. Like you and others have said, just wish these kits weren't quite so expensive. I'm just starting to noodle around with my Ascent18, and the "jumpiness" of the stock system is sort of a pain. This looks so smooth.
You may wanna try the underdrive gears from hot racing. I have a set on the way. I think the stock truck is just geared a bit high. With the underdrive front and rear it may help the jumpiness.
I can’t get past that stupid scroll thing. It’s terrible! I have the rc8x that does anything and everything and it’s much easier to navigate. If I touch that mt again it’ll be to set it on fire 😆
@@2fmrc its not really that bad, i do it 1 roll at a time, but you gotta be gentle, if you just roll it, it'll get away from you and go over or under the number you're trying to set, or the setting you're trying to land on.
Good, honest info as always. The prices are way too high for me, but I’m glad they make a good product. I have only a FX118 with Furitek, and while very smooth, won’t pay whole truck prices for just esc/motor. When will we get a video on the sweet Disco with the upgrades back there? Esp curious how different tires worked for you.
@@malcolmlester4585 don’t think so. When I originally ordered it didn’t say the tooth count so I just got them to check out. But after looking around I found them on eBay and it shows they are the same as the redcat underdrive 🤦🏻♂️
I want to run a furitek ceder in my lc80. The only problem is that they don’t have a receiver with enough channels for lights and two servos. Is this possible? I could use some help.
Hopefully Furitek is also working on Radiolink integration. I removed the GT5 from my life a long time ago because constant problems and lack of customization.
cool idea and i was amped on this till you said the price( i am in newzealand so we have to nearly double the price)...as the std lizard pro/motor/receiver is like 90usd for redcat..yes its the cedar and alloy case but its getting up there as the better combo is i think 150, and you have to have a gt5 radio but other combos just use the included radio or you could get the flysky receiver separately if you upgrade the radio later on ....it is clean tho...damn.
Furitek lizard is just an ESC with no rx integration, so you’ll need a receiver in addition to the lizard pro. Furitek has been releasing a couple integrated rx combos in their higher end python esc but not on the lizard.
i have only found limited information about the receiver compatibility with the gt5, i have been wanting to get a new transmitter that has multiple rig capabilities and im looking hard at the gt5, but its not listed on the flysky website capability chart at all, all i run is 18ths and i dont need 6 channels, but i am building a 10th scale i may need more than 3 or 4 for. Where can i find available receivers, or can you list a few small ones?

@@2fmrc thank you very much man, ive been looking for 2 weeks for a compatibility list and was almost ready to get the fs-g7p instead, but i really wanted the size of the gt5! also, what is the difference between the fs-r4p and fs-r4p-bs? and will those both work with it? i already have 3 of the r4ps someone gave me
Hey, I’ve had my python pro and cedar set up since it came out for the ascent, just wondering does your motor run pretty hot? Got my drag at 11 and foc @ 20. Noticeably cooler with my drag at 10
Do you still have an ascent18 with a venom kit in it and have you been having in cogging issues with it? ive ran through multiple tunes and have just been throwing parts at it thinking its gears or bearings and have reached out to both fuirtek and redcat with no real help or response.

This is what ive been waiting for! I love the simplicity! Definitely scooping this for the new build

you should spend more time with your radiomaster MT 12, maybe over dinner.

I’m in but yes it is getting out of hand with aftermarket accessories and my budget.
I love my GT5. Wish they were a little more affordable.

Yeah if it would work with my rc8x all would be good 😆
@@2fmrc My thoughts exactly.
Flysky FS-G7P works as well?
a fusion motor/esc is almost 1/2 the cost of a furitek motor/esc. that is what itches my brain
Same!

I have gotta get one of these!
can a FS-R4P receiver bind with the gt5? that one has BS at the end and i dont know the difference
can you use an external 8.4v bec with that setup?
I doubt it since the receiver is built in. It does have an 8.4v bec though. Its worked well for me.
does that gt5 radio bind up with the fms electronics?
No. I wish it did!
139 ?? Seems a bit pricey.i may have missed it, is this one blue tooth ready or do you need your own dongle
Bluetooth built in

It’s really not that expensive. It’s a lot harder to cram that much functionality into something that small compared to a 10 scale.

Mine runs pretty warm but not really hot I guess I’d say. Make sure the esc is set to python. I’ve had it switch on me before and the motor get hot.

Dang, that is expensive! Appreciate your honesty as always. Nice to hear someone acknowledge the downsides to the MT12 radio also. Good info as usual.
