I pronounced it that way for years. I found conflicting accounts while researching how to pronounce it correctly, so I just went with the first result from entering "ocarina pronunciation" on Google. Hence, ock-arina. If that's wrong, well, there is nothing I can do about that now.
I think it can go either way, honestly, it just depends on where someone is from. Almost all of my (American) friends pronounce the game with an "Ahh," but my friend from Italy would probably say it with an "Ohh."
